        SCENTED CANDLES
I bought some scented candles just the other day,
Apple-cinnamon and also pleasant sweet mulberry,
The ones in the large jars that last you quite awhile,
I can look forward to sweet smells, sit back and smile.

I think it will depend on my mood which I first burn,
Light apple-cinnamon and then my heart will yearn
For family get together’s, as the fragrance fills the home,
Then dream of coming back again after a long tiring roam.

The mulberry candle reminds me of autumn days so fair,
When the smell of many fruits fill the sweet evening air,
Gathering lots of berries, or picking other fruit to provide
Food for canning, jams, then safe in storage let them hide.

There were some candles who’s scent was strong tangerine,
Which always makes me feel very hungry, then I deem
If I burnt that one in the evening to relax and enjoy a book,
I’d spend time going to the fridge for food to take a look.

The lavender candles were all sold out I am sorry to say,
But I’ll look around for one, that’s my favourite any day,
For in the bleakness of winter that scent spells out spring
And I can almost hear the birds their happy chorus sing.
