More poems about Repentance

CLOISTERED
Cloistered in my heart behind a hidden veil of tears,
Are all my indecisions all of my worries and fears,
Tucked away so none can see this dark part of me,
Yet I know that these are things that should never be.
For on my part it shows that true trust in God I lack,
Prepared to carry a useless load of clutter on my back,
Although I let no one into this cloister and then really see
My weaknesses and imperfections that overshadow me,
Yet my Father in heaven knows and wants me to be free
Of this destructive and cruel load I carry so needlessly,
If I cry tears of repentance and let His light bright within
Then I’ll have no cloister to fill up with sorrow and sin,
My whole heart will magnify the glory of His great love,
Then I’ll more clearly see the better road to heaven above.
