FOR MY PRECIOUS JEWEL
CLARA MARIE
When a mother holds a brand new baby,
her precious jewel lying there,
Deep in her heart most mothers offer
an earnest heartfelt prayer.
Well, my dearest, sweet Clara Marie,
you came through
With flying colours for you strive hard
in all that you do.
You are a joyous symphony to all
those who are around,
No parent could be more pleased, no
greater sweetness found
Than in a precious daughter who has
blossomed like a perfect flower
Growing in God’s wondrous grace, working
hard hour by hour,
Talents by the score have not spoilt the dear
sweetness within,
Always helping others who are hurting, so
another dear friend to win.
Go forward, ever onward, stay always on
the straight and narrow way,
May you stay close to the Master, follow
Him in every day,
Stay bathed in sweet music and goodness,
stay firm and strong,
Dear Clara Marie, press onward and upward always
singing a joyful song.
No words could really tell of the great joy
and deep love in my heart,
From the moment I held you I knew you
were precious from the start.
Thank you for the privilege my dear child
of being part of me,
A precious jewel, a wonderful gift you are,
and will be for eternity.
