A PLAIN TIE GUY
I am married to a man who is a plain tie guy,
Nothing ever fancy catches his eye,
One shade of any colour, except of course pink,
Would be a treat for Christmas I think,
But paisley or floral and stripes are all out,
Mind you he does like some ties that do shout.
Like Tasmanian Devil and Daffy Duck playing ball,
Sends ripples of deep laughter over all.
A black tie covered in yellow smiley faces bright
Always gives folks a smile before they go out of sight.
His red and yellow ties, the bright purple one too,
Need sunglasses or too much glare comes over to you.
He says plain ties are the best, not fancy at all,
But with glances and comments he gets many a call.
If you meet us on the street and he is wearing a tie
You could never mistake him as he walked by.
