More poems about Children
IT TAKES LOVING
It takes a great deal of loving
to rear a child just right,
Lots of kisses and much hugging
and being up at night,
Many a favourite story that is
told over and over again,
A lot of understand when the child
is in great pain.
It takes a great deal of teaching to
prepare each one
For the trials that come their way,
what needs to be done
To help them to be a good husband
and a good wife,
Teaching and loving and caring
in their young life.
It takes a great deal of discipline in love
to show them the way
To be good and honest through life
every single day,
But parents, it is worth it all when
grandchildren come along,
You see their loving faces and know that
you did not go far wrong.
