WHAT TO HAVE FOR SUPPER
Sometimes you fancy something to eat,
what, you do not know,
You rummage through the freezer
hoping that it will show,
Jump out at you saying loud and clear
it’s me you want today,
But not one thing is in there that brings
some tasty food your way.
Breast of chicken, roast pork, steak
all neatly in a row,
Not one of those we fancy at all
I just don’t know
What we’ll eat for meal tonight then it
came quite clear to my mind,
Simple fish and chips to eat would
not be hard to cook and find.
Although the meal was simple
it just hit the right spot
Every plate was empty we ate up
the whole lot.
