        BUYING A NEW DRESS
I am kind of fussy when I buy a new dress,
I must drive my husband crazy I must confess,
I know what I want and I’d rather do without
Than buy one that I’m not really happy about.

I know the style and colour within a shade or two,
Below the knee is a must and nothing see through,
Sleeves I’d refer long but shorter ones will do,
And a level hem, nothing fandangled and new.

The material can be a problem and the price,
I want something rich looking and very nice,
But will have to stay within my budget low,
So to really good dress shops I dread to go.

Dark green satin with a medium high neckline,
Or deep red velvet would also be quite fine,
A twirly skirt of mid-calf length, the bodice tight,
Shot silk would be the best to catch the light.

I won’t find a dress like for just a buck or two
Unless at a second hand store I look through,
I’ll just go and look maybe and see what I find,
But remember to leave my credit card behind.
