        A MIGHTY CHOIR
To hear a solo of any voice gives me joy,
From the depth of a bass to a young boy
Singing a melody that touches the heart,
Oh yes, a good solo voice does it’s part.

Now put four or six voices to sweetly blend
And more enjoyment to me they will send,
Cascading voices mixed in gentle harmony,
Sending sounds of loveliness unto me.

But it takes many different voices blended well,
The richest harmony to make and then swell
To fill ones whole being with pure delight,
As hundreds of voices blend in sweet might.

Listen to a choir sing, soft, sweet and low,
Then in unison, as one, fast, then slow,
Then a triumphal sound to the rafters high,
Sending the heart flying in joy to the sky.

To sing in a choir being hundreds yet one
Is a thrill that to every singer should come.
Tears of gratitude, tears of joy and peace,
Singing God’s praises not wanting to cease.
