HERO’S
Moses for determination,
Daniel and Nephi for courage strong,
Esther for bravery and Joshua
should join this noble throng,
Hero’s in the scriptures, men
and women worthy of emulation,
For they stood for truth, righteousness
and light always shone.

We should read the scriptures
to enrich our lives with truth and light,
Find our own scripture hero’s
with honour always shining bright.
Learn from their actions, their wisdom,
courage, faith and great bravery,
This way we will have a path to follow,
they will help to set us free.

Yet the best one to follow is the Master,
For He shows the better way
To always live, as we tread along
life’s thorny path each day,
The words He spoke, the example He
set for all to plainly see,
If we open the scriptures and study
sweet lessons for you and me.

Open up the scriptures so He knows
that we do really care,
Do not ignore the wonderful gift
In those pages pure and rare,
If we do not read and can, one day
will come a die is cast
And we may be tested from the scriptures
to see if we failed or passed.

Come start today and seek for great
wisdom, great truth and light
Look and find it in the scriptures,
let some hero come in sight,
For then the path you take will help
lead you safely heaven-bound,
And sweet peace and understanding
will in your heart abound.
