ANOTHER TASK
My husband works wonders with my poetry,
Sending it far and wide across mighty seas,
Every one is printed out then alphabetized,
But no specific category was emphasized.
A new labour of love he is now working on,
Goodness knows when this will all be done,
Over three thousand poems to be sorted out
Into categories, think of the mess all about.
Starting with A sorting them into Family,
Romance, Nature, Achievement and History,
The list goes on and in them we can find
a dozen sub-divisions that blow the mind.
Family has children, babies and gatherings,
Parents, chores, other relatives and siblings,
This is to name a few, you see the task ahead.
Not to mention poems of being sick in bed!
Nature is even worse for it covers everything
From the rising glorious sun to birds that sing,
The depth of the forest, lakes great and small,
Stormy seas, and Gods creatures among it all.
You can see the task before us is mountainous,
Yet it will get done and we will not think to grouse,
Another thing, I write some new poems every day,
So the task will increase and take awhile to go away.
Another thoughtful gesture from that loving man of mine
He is full of kindly actions a friend both good and kind,
Not only husband, friend, mentor he is also part of me,
Every action tells me he wants me for now and eternity.
