More poems about Flowers

NAMED AFTER ME
I wrote a poem about a rose that touched my heart,
Painted perfectly, I felt it breath and feel in part
Each velvet petal, on my computer wallpaper I see
Another painting of a rose and she named it after me.
If you come and visit you will see my precious rose,
In fact I am sure everyone could write praising prose
For the beauty of yet another rose painted so real,
And if I had the picture my loving hands would feel,
Once more a rose of sweet simple perfect beauty.
A rose that will not die nor the lovely colour fade,
And it’s everlasting beauty will always give me aid.
Millicent, a lovely name my own special rose of red,
I wish I could afford the painting to hang over my bed.
