WHATS COOKING
When its getting close to Christmas
good smells are everywhere,
Mouth-watering fragrances greet you
in the crisp cool air,
Then they vanish quickly and magically,
hidden away
Until it is time to bring out the goodies
ready for the great day.
We have done the Christmas puddings,
tested them too,
I hope that I have made enough to see
the season through,
A few candies and the cake are ready,
theres more to be done,
Seeing whats cooking for Christmas
is half the fun.
Doing things in stages, a little here
and a little there,
Makes the spirit of Christmas last
as you cook the fare
Over a period of time, not going crazy
at the very end,
And it helps the cook a much happier
Christmas spend.
