More poems about our Grandchildren
EMILY MARY BRIANN.
We long to hold her in our arms
This child sent from heaven above.
We want to see her shining eyes
Filled with our Gods purest love.
We long to feel her peach like skin.
We smile as she grips our fingers
With her tiny hand so perfect,
And hope that her firm grip lingers
So we can hold her a while longer.
We long to see her very first smile,
Help comfort her in teething pain,
See her crawl, then wait a while
And laugh at her very first step.
She will be so pretty I am sure
And always be as good as gold,
All her life shell be kind and pure,
And we know shell grow to be
A woman kind and full of integrity.
Our sweet, precious little Emily.
