More misc poems about Rain

        WEATHER RELIEF
The air was heavy with rain, waiting to fall,
The closeness and humidity was like a pall
Of smothering heat, rain wanting to be set free,
Clouds so low you’re in them, dimming all you see.

Suddenly without a thunder or lightening shower,
Down came the rain with such force and power
That those driving could hardly see anything at all,
Like driving in grey mist then through a waterfall.

Enveloped in the pounding rain, deafening the sound,
No vision of lovely scenery anywhere was to be found,
Entombed in utter nothingness trying to drive along
With the frightful drumming of rain, such a mournful song.

Although it was still raining, grey light everywhere,
It fell lighter, and much fresher was the cooling air,
Visibility still poor, only close beauty could we see,
Maybe soon of all the rain and clouds we will be free.
