IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED
There are many times when our children do very well,
Are good, patient and kind and the truth always tell,
They achieve a goal by doing things that are right,
Are understanding, help out when people are in a plight.
Then as good parents some pride sneaks into your heart,
Guilt sweeps over you, of pride we should have no part.
Then remember what God said of Jesus, many years ago,
“This is my beloved son in whom I’m well pleased” and so
Maybe pride is the wrong word to express our good feelings,
We are well pleased with our children at their great achieving.
It is by far the best way to go, and the word pride cast away,
Just praise the Lord that your children did not go astray.
