WASHING THE CAR
Blotchy with rain splatters and covered dust
A cleaning for our Cavalier was really a must,
Of tender loving care the poor thing did lack,
And we wanted our nice green shinny car back.
With a soft cloth and soapy water not too hot,
We removed all the dirt and grime, every jot,
Then with the garden hose, swilled her down,
It seemed that the front fender lost its frown.
Then inside with the window cleaner we went,
Im sure if the car were alive shed be heaven sent,
Wiped down the seats and dashboard nice and clean,
From under seats garbage from the holidays was seen.
Now she sits in the driveway looking as good as new,
No blotchy patches or dust seen, and clean right through,
We will not leave it so long to make our car shine bright,
But not like our neighbor who cleans his every single night.
