TOO LATE
How often do we procrastinate, put
it off for another day?
We have many good intentions to
do good in some way,
But there is always tomorrow
to do a good deed,
And a more convenient time to
meet another’s need.

We won’t get out the best china
or the good crystal,
Until the occasion comes along
that is really special,
There it sits and is never used,
the day not good enough
To ever get it out and use that
extra special stuff.

One day will come when we can take a
holiday, next year will do,
If we have enough money and the work is
all done and through,
Then off to see places we have never,
ever seen before,
Unless, of course, we procrastinate and
put it off once more.

One day will come when we can no
longer procrastinate,
That will be the time when you
know it is too late,
Never put off until tomorrow what
can be done today,
Do it now, then it is not too late and
go happily on your way.
