Romans 14 by Paul of Tarsus Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgement on his opinions. One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only. The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who eoes not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his mind. He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord. And he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God. For not one of us lives for imself, and not one of us dies for himself; for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord. Threfore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. Romans 14 interpreted by Nathanael Smith Accept your brothers, even the ones who are weak in the faith. But be careful that you don't accept him just to "correct" his opinions. One brother has faith to wear jeans to chruch, while another feels he must wear a tie. The one who dresses casually is not to look down on the one who dresses up, and the person who wears a tie is not to judge the brother in jeans: God has accepted them both. One person believes that Sunday is a special holy day, another believes that all days are created equal. Each person has got to be convinced in his own mind. The brother that sets Sunday aside does so for the Lord. Just so, the one who wears jeans does it for the Lord, and he gives thanks to God. The one who dresses up, dresses up for the Lord, and gives thanks to God. None of us live or die for ourselves. If we live, it's for God. If we die, it's for God. Whether we live or die, it's all for God.
