At Brackendale Secondary (BSS) we are very proud of our growing French Immersion program. We
currently have one class in each of the 8, 9, and 10 grades. The courses traditionally offered at each
level, Language/Literature and Social Studies, give students the chance to interact with each other
and their teachers in an entirely French atmosphere.
We see nothing but promise for the future as our school plans its expansion. We are excited about
the chance to teach Immersion through to grade 12.

For International Students who would like to attend classes to learn or improve their English skills, all
of the classes are also taught in English.

Also offered at BSS is a Career and Personal Planning curriculum which focuses on preparing
students to make and implement plans in order to meet their personal, educational, and career goals.
It also preparers students to meet the challenges of a changing workplace effectively.
