Kyongju
I went to Kyongju on three occasions when I was in Korea. Once in late summer with the ECC staff, once during Christmas time with my boyfriend, Todd and once in Spring with my aunt Louise and two of my sisters, Joanne and Ginette. Each time I found Kyongju spectacular. It had so much to offer. It taught me a lot about korean culture. My trips to Kyonju are among my favorite memories of Korea.
Kyongju is Korea's ancient cultural city, the capital of the once great Shilla Kingdom. Kyongju and its environs contain hundreds of royal tombs, temples, palace sites, fortress ruins, pagodas and rock sculptures. Kyongju truly deserves its appellation, a "museum without walls".
