Scottish words meaning: "good old days", or "time remembered with fondness."  Generally a New Year song, sung on Hogmany.  By Robert Burns, national poet of Scotland in the late 18th century; one of Burns' greatest contributions was the preservation of his peoples' folksongs, and this is one of many examples.
