For you Animorph lovers that don’t read Night World, by L. J. Smith:
The Night World is a secret society of vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, and witches.
Circle Daybreak is a group for all members of the Night World, and for humans, too. It’s against Night World law.
Night World laws are as follows:
1.) Don’t tell humans about the Night World
2.) Don’t fall in love with humans.
The Redferns are the most power lamia family.
Lamia, by the way, are vampires that are born vampires. And Dragons are shapeshifters that can turn into anything they touch
The Harmans are the most powerful witch family.
The Draches are the most powerful shapeshifter family, and rule the First House of the Shapeshifters.
The Millenium means the end of the world. The wild powers are supposed to stop it.
Main charas in this story:
Theirry Descouedres- A Lord of the Night World, and the head of Circle Daybreak. Has a soulmate named Hannah.
John Quinn (Quinn)- A vampire made in colonial America. Has a soulmate named Rashel, who is a vampire hunter. Possible heir to the Redfern family.
Galen Drache- Prince of the First House of the Shapeshifters. Has a soulmate named Keller, a panther shapeshifter. Can shapeshift into a leopard.
Aradia- Madien of all the witches. Does not have a soulmate. Can see the future, and is blind.
Thalia Redfern- A vampire, and my own fudge character (there is a reason I put her in there- this is not self-insertation) Possible heir to the Redfern family, and, unlike the others, is not a member of Circle Daybreak.
Other, minor, Night World characters that appear/are alluded to:
Iliana Harman- A Wild Power and pure soul. Said to the be the soulmate of “the prince of Shapeshifters.”
Delos Redfern- Another Wild Power, but is not a pure soul. Has a human soulmate, Maggie. Older brother of Thalia.
Jez Redfern- Another Wild Power, is half-human, half-lamia. Has a vampire soulmate, Morgead.
Hannah Snow- Theirry’s soulmate, a human Old Soul- which means that she has been reincarnated.
Hunter Redfern- Dead patriarch of the Redfern family.
Maya- The first vampire/lamia
For you Night Worlders that don’t read Animorphs:
Yeerks are parasitic slugs that take over people’s brains.
Yes, all Night Worlders, with the exception of ones such as Hellewise and Maya and Dragons, can be taken by a Yeerk.
Andalites are blue centaurs with a scorpion-like tail-blade and stalk eyes instead of antlers.
A Visser is a high rank of Yeerk.
The Kandrona is what Yeerks live off of.
They get Kandrona, and recharge, in the Yeerk pool. They must go there every three days.
An aristh is an Andalite warrior-in-training.
A nothlit is someone stuck in morph.
If you stay in morph for more than two hours, you get stuck.
A Cotnroller is someone infested by a Yeerk.
A Taxxon is a cannibalistic centipede. They are all Controllers.
Hork-Bajir are walking razor blade-type things, but are peacful by nature, unless infested by a Yeerk. Which most of them are
Yeerks are the bad guys, Andalites are the good guys.
The five kids and one good Andalite can turn into any animal they touch.
No, they’re not Dragons.
Characters in Animorphs used here:
Jake: The leader, who is tall, good looking with brown hair and eyes. He’s responsible and likes Cassie. His best friend is Marco.
Cassie: The peacemaker, who is short, dark skinned, and loves the earth. She’s the first one to spot a moral conflict, and likes Jake. Her best friend is Rachel.
Rachel: The “Amazon.” Is tall, blond, blue eyed, and brave to a fault. She’s the one to say “let’s do it!” and likes Tobias. Marco gets on her nerves.
Tobias: Is a boy trapped in the body of a red-tailed hawk. Can morph human for two hours at a time, and likes Rachel. His best friend is Ax, and, when human, he has dirty blond hair (ash blond? ;-) ) and dreamy blue eyes.
Marco: The Jester. Is short, cute, and Hispanic. He cracks jokes at every opportunity. His best friend’s Jake, and his favorite pastime is grinding Rachel’s nerves.
Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill: Otherwise known as Ax, he is an Andalite warrior cadet. His closest friend is Tobias, and his brother was Prince Elfangor. He’s very big on honor.
Visser Three: The big, bad guy. He is a Yeerk in an Andalite host body, and likes no one. He’s power hungry, mean, and evil. And this guy is not going to be rehabilitated. His goal is to get a Yeerk in evey head on Earth and beyond.
Other characters that might pop up:
Visser One: Head military Yeerk, and in the host body of Marco’s mom.
Tom: Jake’s brother; a Yeerk.
Chapman (Mr.): The vice principal of the school; also a Yeerk.
Melissa Chapman: Mr. Chapman’s daughter; is not a Yeerk.
