On the occasion of the Saga Dawa day where merits are multiplied by the hundred of thousands, the Center has collected some funds from its members to buy around 61boxes of 20 worms each box , to later on release them (61 x 20 = 1220 worms altogether) back into nature. It is said that the merits created by this act extend our life span.
Before releasing them into nature, we piled up the boxes in front of the Buddha statue to bless them.
One Buddhist has given us the permission to release the worms in his garden, so we went there, dig some holes and empty the boxes. And it looks something like this:
