Text into poem

Guidelines:

1. Find a phrase or sentence that says something to you.
2. Write what you found as the first line of your poem.
3. Start the second line with the second word of the first line, and so on, using all the words to complete the poem.

The winter evening settles down
Winter brings in old memories
Evening spent by the lake
Settle the birds in the nests
Down goes the sun
