A STAMP FROM FRENCH POLYNESIA


French Polynesia is a territory of France in the South Pacific. It consists of five island groups; Tahiti in the Society Islands being the most famous of all the islands. The stamp shown here comemorates Stamp Day 1996 and the 40th anniversary of the death of Henri Lemasson. It was cancelled on February 2nd, 1999 in Pirae on the island of Tahiti.
