"I think women are portrayed pretty well
in Sailor Moon. The main
characters are strong characters but they
are still feminine. Unlike
other female heroines (Xena, etc.) they
actually take a feminine approach
to solving certain problems (e.g. making
friends instead of killing
people). The original Sailor Moon
story was written by a woman, as you
probably know."
"Well in the first two seasons, weak and helpless."
"I really think it's a show where girls kick
butt, ya know? True, Tuxedo
Mask helps sometimes, but he doesn't blow
the monsters away. The girls
work together, teamwork, and destroy the
monsters. So I guess you could
say the women are portrayed as Strong women."
"Well in the first two seasons, Tuxedo
Mask is the one that actually saves
the day."
"They're individual, strong. They're not
dependent on Tuxedo Mask to
get them out of a situation."
"some of the women are portrayed as submissive
waiting for some guy to
save them but other are portrayed as strong,
so i guess that they
portray really life in the fact that there
are some girls that just wait
for a guy to save them and others who just
do it by them selves (ahem me)"
