THE BLIND SEE, TOO

The story starts with the mysterious music echoing in a series of caves called the Whistling Caves. The source is a mystery to all, except for one small boy- Allen. He enters the pitch-black caves in search of his guardian, the gummi bear Douner. Douner, for a reason not as yet disclosed :), doesn't wish to associate with humans OR gummies, or anyone else. He has a secret and wishes to remain hidden. However, we'll learn another time how he got to raise a human boy! Douner breaks in his flute-playing for some lunch and at his home he discovers a whistle he'd never seen when first going over the stuff in this abandoned domicile he took over. In this tale, Tummi is also going to see Trina, the blind woman from the episode "What You See Is Me". Her dog is a little excited, and not just because of the gummi. The german shepard takes off suddenly and the two give chase. They catch up to him and find he has lickingly found Allen, and Douner. Somehow, Trina knows he's a gummi and she's asked about this revelation. She informs them that the whistle is in an old family tale of her ancestor saving a gummie's life and the manufacturing of the whistle. Can't remember if it was made for the man or the gummi. I think for the man, to call on the gummi if he needed any assistance for anything. The dog Trina has is a descendant of the dogs her family raises and have been trained to answer the whistle, as well. The dog barked out the number of gummies to her (don't explain how she got the doggie to do THAT!) and Tummi realizes she's known he's a gummi for a while. Leaving Douner with the promise that they won't tell anyone he's there, Tummi asks Trina when she knew he was a gummi. She replies, "I don't need sight to see who you are."
