HOME AGAIN


Gruffi and Tummi return with Gusto. They discover a hidden gummi port, sorta like what the Gummerine was in and after introductions and running into Cavin, Zummi says they should explore the cave/gummi port (meeting Cavin was funny as Gusto was it in a game of tag. Cavin walks in and Gusto tackles him. Shocked ta see a human but quick to introduce himself. Cavin explains that his reserves are okay, "I'm kinda getting used to it." :) ) Sunni is not happy about lurking in the damp cave and spies a shadow watching them. Going to investigate, she finds herself in a pitch black section of the caves and surprised by a voice claiming to belong to Sir Clummi, the gummi magically turned invisible and charged to protect this gummi port from non-gummies. He obviously doesn't know that Cavin is with the others 'cause when Sunni explains that not all humans are bad, he says, "I'd like to see one that isn't.". She replies that she'll be right back and he'd better be ready to open his eyes. She is dragged back into the shadows by a furry paw and told to remain silent. "Why?" she wants to know. He informs her that that unseen someone is not who he says he is, and is not a gummi at all. Obviously, Douner doesn't want to introduce himself but sees this stranger as a threat and confronts him, in the pitch black, as always, and the stranger who obviously would _like_ to be a gummi relents. He says that he is really called Yovin and will now leave, never telling us who or what he really is. Just another invisible character. Literally! Sunni never learns Douner's name and I can't recall even if she realizes he's a gummi, too. As this gummi port is another of his secret places, he informs her that whatever she's looking for here, it's long gone. There is nothing remaining here. She goes back to the others, they indeed find nothing, and all go home. Gusto, that night, is groaning in a funny scene where each bear is saying "good night!" to the other and they at the end walk to his room and chorus together, "Good night, Gusto!". Groan, he's never gonna get any sleep here, blah blah blah, and in the morning he says he wants to look for a place of his own. To not offend them, he explains that he needs a bigger more inspiring place or his creativity will go dead. As that is what kept him going for 12 years on the island, that would most likely kill him, too. Grammi talks Gruffi into helping Gusto find a new place and they end up at Gusto's current home. Needless to say the artist is truly inspired at first sight and wants to move in immediately. Gruffi is now more than ready to help:)

On a side note, Douner hangs out in the dark because his eyes are quite sensitive to light, and in this pic, you see him reprimanding Allen for being out in the sunlight. Douner must wear protective eye-wear in order to see outside. Yaay, dark glasses! :)
