Bloodfang-Broken Claw Challenge

Return to Archive index

This log starts with a lot of chitchat over things that interested me, and gives a glimpse of my cubhood, before getting onto the actual Challenge. Topics o' convo: Banter between Spooner and Toxic and Hecate, planning for new packs, the Blue Sky logging site,, how to recognize Dancers (and some on Eaters of Dead to gross out Maury), Ron Vidar asks the Talon alpha if he'd be in favor of using a nuke to take out a human city, reports of the "cookie-cutter" Dancer, and happy little Sepdet as she was during her cub-days.

Sepdet suddenly flinches and stops trancing in the flames. She looks around a little disoriented.
Spooner stands, "Well, I'm gonna go job hunting 'fore things heat up. <look at the nuzzling pair> May I suggest under the stone table. Looks nice and comfy."
Toxic snorts at Spooner.
Fisher-King casts a wry glance at Spooner.
Hecate glances up at Spooner and narrows her eyes. Donna start with me.
Oaken tilts his head. ~There are actually two packs forming, both of which have expressed interest. I'm wondering if it would be more sensible to try to combine the two into a larger pack...but that's neither here nor there. Short answer; yes.~
Spooner says "Why not? You wanna make out at a Caern, then be big enough to take the guff you're gonna get."
Echen smiles slightly. And here I was hoping that you weren't otherwise engaged. Ah well. Short answer to your question: I'm not certain. You'd do better to ask, say, Thorn.
Echen glances up at Spooner for a moment, and then turns his eyes to the fire.
Fisher-King thinks for a moment. Any number of comments that could be made to Spooner come to mind, but he decides it's best not to interfere in a Black Fury cat....um, dog-fight.
Hecate growls low in her throat; the sound swells a bit, and then diminishes. Not worth th'time t'throat you.
Oaken smiles a little. ~Brandi asked Anpwhotep and got a fast-for-a-week-and-go-on-a-visionquest response. Very well; one more thing to bring up when Thorn and I sit down.~
Toxic snorts at Spooner. ~I wish ya luck in your life if ya can't tell th'difference between being reassuring and affectionte and, as you so poetically put it, 'making out'.~
Sepdet murmurs something like ~packs forming? Why does Mother always call when things of interest are being discussed.~
Echen smiles slightly over at Oaken and nods; he returns his attention to the fire, ears pricking towards the conversation between Spooner and Hecate.
Oaken grins at Sepdet. ~Packs, and rumors of packs. If I have my way, there's gonna be a big meal where everyone interested in forming or joining one can get together and hammer some things out. You're invited, of course.~
Sepdet blinks at Oaken. ~This one would be honored, but has not yet undergone Rite of Passage.~
Fisher-King blinks at Sedpet's comment about 'Mother', but says nothing.
Nightmare listens quietly, head on paws, eyes glittering alertly.
Spooner's smile widens. "I would hardly want to distract you, .sister. 'Afternoon, all."
Spooner heads into the center.
Quiet flicks her ears.
Jon Nomad stirs slightly, then falls back asleep.
Oaken tilts his head. ~I'm no Philodox, but...I'd say that if a pack wants you around, and you like them, then your Passage isn't a thing to block it. At most, you might not be an `official' member.~
At the center, Spooner heads west, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the western curve, Spooner heads west, out past the rim of the Wheel.
Oaken murmurs ~Thanks, Gramps. I can tell the Norse Garm-Chaining story from the points of view of three species, but you never taught me what exactly a pack is. Nice training.~
Hecate's nostrils flare and she steps away from Toxic, eyess dark with anger. She begins to pad after Spooner, but stops herself mid-stride and returns to Toxic's side, forcing words past clenched teeth. ~Like I said... not worth th'fucking time it'd take t'throat her.~
Oaken looks off to the east, scowling a little.
Sepdet chuckles at Oaken.~My previous mentor was doubtful that I would be *suitable* for a pack.~
Fisher-King settles down next to the fire. Having packs oversee the teaching of cubs would at least insure that some of their questions were answered.
Toxic chuffs softly at Oaken, then turns and nuzzles Hecate again. Calm, babe.
Sepdet nods in agreement with Fisher-King, but hopes that until cubs have learned enough, they would not be burdensome for pack.
Hecate drops her eyes and leans against Toxic slightly. Two days ago I woulda gutted her. Thanks.
Toxic chuffs softly. You're welcome.
Fisher-King shrugs. So long as the cubs do not insist on participating in -every- part of Garou life immediately, I do not forsee a problem.
Sepdet looks mildly impressed at Hecate's display of control.
Toxic shrugs. She's a rag. Ya can't kill'em for every joke they make or people'll think ya've got no sense of humor.
Oaken does the hispo version of eyebrow-raising to Sepdet. ~Underestimating folks can be a fatal mistake, said the Gnawer to the Talon in the proverb. You fight well, you think well; without dishonoring your mentor, he sounds like he or she had cabbage for brains.~
Sepdet drops her eyes for a moment. ~He... was wise in many things, but perhaps had travelled alone too long. He had tolerance enough to teach one he thought should be dead, and wisdom enough to send me here when he deemed it time for me to learn more of fellow garou.~
Hecate takes a few slow, deep breaths, and then gives a half-amused snort. M'gettin' pissed atta pasty-faced freak.
Sepdet looks a little uncomfortable talking about herself, and falls silent.
Oaken nods, respectfully.
Fisher-King gets to his feet again, pacing around the fire some more.
Sepdet looks around, the faintest hint of anxiety clouding her eyes. ~Has anyone seen my Uncle... I mean, Anpwhotep-sn... since Moot? We probably merely missed each other these last few days, but still...~
Oaken smiles a little. ~Brandi mentioned seeing him yesterday; he was telling her about the visionquest he took to get a totem. Fasting; yuck.~
Toxic nods to Sepdet. He was here last night. He is well.
Fisher-King can't quite understand why one would go without food if there was no lack of it about.
Nightmare rises, stretches, and paces a bit before sitting back down.
Toxic looks quietly at Nightmare. Chris?
Nightmare looks at Toxic. ~Yeah?~
Sepdet looks relieved, and slightly amused at the food comments.
Oaken looks over to the western sun. ~Suppertime, and more cramming with ~Guide to the Flora of the Pacific Northwest.' See you in a few hours, everyone.~
Fisher-King nods to Oaken.
Toxic looks quietly at Nightmare. What can you tell me about th'Logging site?
Oaken heads into the center.
Oaken has left.
At the center, Oaken heads southeast to the pool.
Near the Pool, Oaken's eyes stop on his reflection in the pool.
Sepdet murmurs goodbye at Oaken.
Nightmare's eyes narrow. ~What do you want to know?~ he responds, tone reflexively going dark and wary.
Sepdet looks up at the sky, sighs, and starts doodling funny little birds, hooks, and wiggles on the ground, idly practicing calligraphy to calm herself.
Fisher-King pads off towards the woods to wander for a while.
Fisher-King heads into the center.
Fisher-King has left.
At the center, Fisher-King heads south, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the southern curve, Fisher-King heads south, out of the Wheel and into the forest.
Toxic sighs softly. I want to know, oh, how many machines and of what type. How many men. How many effective -fighting- men. How many of them have shotguns and th'like in their trucks that you know of. You get th'idea.
Sepdet realizes she's fidgeting, carefully wipes the ground clean, and stretches her paws out in front of her, ears swivelling attentively.
On the eastern curve, Maury works her way free of the dense treeline to the west.
On the eastern curve, Maury follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Maury has arrived.
Toxic looks up a little sadly. Hello, Maury.
Quiet senses "Sepdet glance over at you shyly. ~How goes it with you, moon-sister?~"
Hecate glances over at Maury and drops her eyes. Hi.
Maury nods as she looks arounnd; wordlessly, she drops to a seat beside Chris and huddles in her jacket.
Sepdet dips her muzzle at Maury respectfully.
Chris McDowell huddles by the fire. "Machines. Dozen or so trucks on site during a typical day. Two or three bulldozers that I never saw used. One big monster...saw blades in the front, claws that put the trees in the back when it smashed them down...used in the...thicker clumps, sparingly. Bitch to maintain. Don't know how many replacements they have on reserve." He pauses, staring darkly into the fire.
Echen pads, quietly, around behind Maury and curls his body around her. He looks up at her with a glint of mirth in his eyes. G'morning. How was school?
Sepdet lets out a soft, low growl.
Chris McDowell smiles briefly at Maury, glittering eyes darkened as he resumes.
Maury shrugs a little at Echen. "Was all right, I guess."
Chris McDowell says "Several dozen workers. Half of them absent at any given time of day. I think...I was probably one of the few who came to work without some type of gun handy." He shrugs. "As to how many can fight, i can't tell you.""
Toxic nods to Chris. So, most of'em are armed most of th'time. Shotguns? Pistols?
Chris McDowell nods. "A lot of shotguns. Some rifles. Lot of handguns carried. The contents of a typical farmhouse's gun rack, pretty much."
Toxic hrms. Bad.
Toxic nods. Okay. Thank you, Chris.
Chris McDowell mutters, "No problem."
Sepdet wonders, if it comes to fighting, what will be done to prevent more humans from coming and investigating disturbance.
Toxic looks quietly at Sepdet. It is out inna woods. Th'last time it took'em about twenty minutes t'respond from Kent Crossing. In twenty minutes, we come and we go.
Cyllan skips in quickly.
Sepdet nods. I meant, what of the future, when others investigate why logging camp has disappeared, and they find bodies or nothing at all.
Echen smiles slightly. Last time they found a wrecked crane and half a dozen bodies of their night watchmen. That seemed to satisfy them.
Toxic tilts her head quietly. Then those who know what signs t'look for will come here and do what was done at Two-Lakes. We must be more careful inna future.
Cyllan frowns at Toxic. "What's the topic of discussion?"
Chris McDowell stares at the fire. "And what about the...other side of it? The Umbra?"
Sepdet looks from Echen to Toxic, then back at the fire. A little sad.
On the western curve, Kassi works her way free of the dense treeline to the west.
Echen glances over at Chris. There will be Pattern Spiders. Last time there was a Bane, probably a servant of the Bat totem. Chaser, Toxic, and I killed it.
On the western curve, Kassi heads into the center.
Maury says softly to Cyllan, without looking away from the fire, "The logging camp."
At the center, Kassi heads northeast to the fire pit.
Kassi has arrived.
Toxic shrugs. Spiders. Banes. Fomori. Maybe Dancers.
Near the Pool, Bloodfang appears in a glimmer of light.
Sepdet greets the latest arrivals with her customary dipping of eyes.
Toxic nods quiet greeting to Cyllan and Kassi.
Near the Pool, Bloodfang follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Bloodfang follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Bloodfang has arrived.
Kassi glances over at Toxic. "Dancers?"
Toxic sighs softly. More and more. Why not atta logging site, too? We should be prepared.
Chris McDowell says quietly, "I can fight there in the umbra. There's nothing...innocent there."
Cyllan frowns. "How do you know what a Dancer looks like?"
Sepdet shudders slightly, but her eyes glitter with eagerness.
Toxic nods to Chris. True and false. In th'sense you mean it, true.
Toxic looks quietly at Cyllan. I'm a homicidal maniac. We look just like everyone else.
Kassi snickers at Toxic. "Is there a god?"
Bloodfang sits by the fire and nods a greeting to the others. His face looks lightly amused, oddly enough.
Toxic chuffs softly. Are they made with real girl scouts?
Kassi laughs.
Sepdet looks over at Cyllan. ~Please tell. My old Mentor said merely that if I was truly a Seer, I would know. But I would prefer more forewarning.~
Maury looks confused.
Sepdet looks a little puzzled at the odd litany being recited around her. Poor dear.
Cyllan shakes her head at Spedet. "Don't know. I guess they'd come up with 'sense Wyrm' but that can be hidden. Cameron said that a lot of them were twisted or deformed or something. But some of them were just like normal garou." Her tone is slightly confused. "I dunno."
Sepdet growls. At least one can *smell* Eaters-of-Dead.
Toxic wrinkles her nose. They are mostly metis. They breed among themselves, for who else would breed with them?
Hecate sighs quietly and steps away from Toxic. I gotta go. S'posed to be meetin' with Lyta.
Bloodfang growls low in his throat. The Dancers have corrupted packs of Kinfolk that they mate with, both Homid and Lupus.
Maury says "Eaters-of-Dead?"
Toxic nuzzles Hecate. Take care, Nikki.
Hecate nods once, briefly, casting a glance over at Maury and dropping her eyes as she pads away. 'Kay. See you all later, maybe.
Hecate makes her way south, back around the Wheel.
Hecate has left.
On the eastern curve, Hecate heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
Maury's eyes carefully avoid Toxic and Hecate.
Sepdet expression turns briefly to hate, rather rare for the over-peaceful cub. ~They who betray everything a Strider is~ she says, after a pause. ~They seek knowledge not through experience, but by stealing it from others.~ Her faint accent grows stronger as she spits out these words.
Bloodfang watches Sepdet quietly, not knowing much of this either.
Maury blinks a little at Sepdet's words. "What do they do?"
Sepdet traces the form of a serpent on the ground, then scratches through it with her claws. ~They devour the brains of dead humans... and garou.~
Cyllan wrinkles her nose. Ew.
Bloodfang glowers. Vile.
Bloodfang's expression seems to suggests that perhaps Striders in general are just plain a little too weird for him.
Maury covers her face with her hands; she doesn't appear to have heard Sepdet at all.
Toxic flattens her ears against her skull. S'truly no accounting for taste.
Quiet twiches her ears, her nose wrinkled.
Sepdet eyes grow fierce. ~If there are any left, they are in hiding. From us.~
Cyllan shrugs. "I dunno, if I could pass Algebra by eating a brain...nah, I'm better off running to the library. I'll see you guys later."
Cyllan follows the Wheel west, away from the fire pit.
Cyllan has left.
On the northern curve, Cyllan turns back and retreats east to the fire pit.
Cyllan has arrived.
Cyllan heads into the center.
Cyllan has left.
At the center, Cyllan heads north, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the northern curve, Cyllan turns to the north, and leaves past the rim of the Wheel.
Maury scrambles to her feet suddenly and darts off, hands dropping from her face as she does.
Maury makes her way south, back around the Wheel.
Maury has left.
On the eastern curve, Maury heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
Bloodfang watches Maury flee curiously, then shrugs. Have any of you seen Broken Claw?
Echen sighs, rises to his feet, and pads after Maury. Damn.
Echen makes his way south, back around the Wheel.
Echen has left.
Chris McDowell blinks after Maury, sighs, and follows at a more restrained pace.
On the eastern curve, Echen heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
Chris McDowell makes his way south, back around the Wheel.
Chris McDowell has left.
On the eastern curve, Chris McDowell heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
Quiet watches the fleeing Garou with a bemused expression.
Toxic sighs quietly.
Sepdet goes back to brooding at the fire.
Michael Powers pages: Hello, daughter. :)
You paged Michael Powers with 'Hi! Just noticed you were in!'.
Michael Powers pages: Just *got* in. :)
You paged Michael Powers with 'must be that Theurge thing. Suddenly got the urge to +finger and see if you were connected.'.
You paged Michael Powers with 'lookie lookie! Got my first scar. :) I am such a cub at heart, aren't I'.
On the southern curve, Ron Vidar comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Ron Vidar heads into the center.
At the center, Ron Vidar heads northeast to the fire pit.
Ron Vidar has arrived.
Bloodfang glowers over at Ron and nods slightly.
Toxic looks up morosely. Yo, Ron.
Ron Vidar gives Bloodfang a sidelong look. ~Hi.~
Sepdet looks up curiously at Ron, then lowers her eyes politely.
Kassi watches the fire silently.
Ron Vidar examines the ground, looking mildly annoyed. Feh.
Michael Powers pages: How'd you do that, dear?
You paged Anpwhotep with 'Revel. Nearly getting run over by bane while trying to distract it so everyone else could whop it from behind.'.
Anpwhotep pages: Ah... *hug*
Near the Pool, Anpwhotep appears in a glimmer of light.
Near the Pool, Anpwhotep follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Anpwhotep follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Anpwhotep has arrived.
Toxic looks up sadly. Bro.
Anpwhotep contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Ron Vidar nods to Anpwhotep (just don't ask him to pronounce it). ~Evening.~
Anpwhotep shifts into Crinos form.
On the southern curve, Fisher-King comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Fisher-King heads into the center.
At the center, Fisher-King heads northeast to the fire pit.
Fisher-King has arrived.
Anpwhotep nods to Ron absently, giving his beloved packsister a hug and smiling to Sepdet.
Sepdet perks up. ~Heya, sensw.~
Ron Vidar says "Quite a crowd we have here tonight, it seems."
Ron Vidar says "Even if it is a quiet one."
Anpwhotep reaches out to scritch Sepdet, looking at her scar thoughtfully. You got hit good, didn't you, daughter?
Toxic OOC has to run off with Anpwhotep and take care of something that happened at six AM this morning.
Anpwhotep wonders if the one we need is here yet?
Toxic OOC one of them. We'll fill Chief McNicky in if he turns up, dammit.
Bloodfang shrugs. Broken Claw and I have a challenge to run. I am waiting for him.
Sepdet looks shyly at Ron. ~This.. I do not think we have met. I'm Sepdet. Theurge cub.~
Ron Vidar says "Challenge. Hnh."
Fisher-King pages: Got the scar at the Revel, right?
Ron Vidar says "You think the kid's going to do okay?"
Sepdet looks up proudly at her Uncle, a little sheepish about it. ~Yes. Didn't dodge very well. But I hit it once!~
Fisher-King smiles faintly at Anpwhotep. She came by the scar honestly. She did well.
Bloodfang shrugs. We shall see. It will be amusing at least.
On the eastern curve, Chris McDowell makes his way out of the woods to the east.
Anpwhotep grins and nuzzles Sepdet, saying proudly, ~Wonderful, dear. I want to hear all about it.~
Ron Vidar turns and peers at Sepdet. ~Charmed, I'm sure. Name's Ron Eyes-Like-Green-Lanterns Vidar, but just call me Ron. Theurge of -- don't cringe, please -- the Shadow Lords.~
On the eastern curve, Chris McDowell follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Chris McDowell has arrived.
Sepdet smiles. ~Won't cringe until stepped on. Then will cringe politely and avoid in the future.~
Bloodfang glances over at the former logger, then back to the fire.
Ron Vidar laughs.
Chris McDowell crouches down by Toxic. "Could we talk?"
Toxic OOC is sorry, Chris, but it will have to wait. She has to go backtime something that happened at 6AM this morning.
Anpwhotep chuckles and ruffles Sepdet's ruff. ~Wise little girl, aren't you? Gonna outstrip me *real* fast.~
Toxic heads into the center.
Toxic has left.
Fisher-King looks at Anpwhotep. What do you feed this one? :)
At the center, Toxic goes home.
(OOC) Anpwhotep sighs and joins Toxic.
Anpwhotep goes home.
Anpwhotep has left.
Chris McDowell makes his way south, back around the Wheel.
Chris McDowell has left.
On the eastern curve, Chris McDowell heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
Kassi stands up, slipping away from the fire.
Kassi follows the Wheel west, away from the fire pit.
Kassi has left.
Sepdet watches Uncle Anpw go a little wistfully, but looking much happier. Silly little cub.
On the northern curve, Kassi heads into the center.
At the center, Kassi heads west, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the western curve, Kassi heads west, out past the rim of the Wheel.
Ron Vidar says "Hey, Bloodfang, you mind if I ask you a hypothetical question?"
Bloodfang arches an eyebrow. What?
Fisher-King whuffles softly at Sepdet. You remind me a bit of him.
Sepdet looks pleased, curious.
Fisher-King smiles wolfishly, laying down by the fire. ~Though he was always a bit more...subdued.~
Sepdet looks properly bashful.
Ron Vidar says "In your opinion, what percentage of your average 'Talons would find that dropping a small nuclear warhead on St. Claire would do more good in terms of ape extermination than bad in terms of enviromental damage?"
Ron Vidar says "I've been kinda curious about this for a while."
Bloodfang's brow furrows. Nuclear warhead?
Ron Vidar says "Yeah. It's an...uh...oh, hell."
Ron Vidar says "You know atomic spirits?"
Bloodfang bares his teeth. Yes.
Ron Vidar says "Right. That's kinda what a nuclear warhead is like."
OOC FK idles for a bit. Back soon.
Bloodfang glowers a bit. You are asking which is worse, atomic banes or Apes?
Ron Vidar says "Oh, I'm not asking you personally. More like, which way you think your fellow 'Talons'd go."
Sepdet quietly thinks the Talons have more sense. One can eliminate humans; atomic waste takes much longer.
Bloodfang's brow furrows. One city or all cities?
Near the Pool, Inya appears in a glimmer of light.
Ron Vidar says "Well, just one, for a start. But I guess you could make it any one of them."
Near the Pool, Inya follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Inya follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Inya has arrived.
Bloodfang grunts. I would say destroy one. But no more. One large scab. Those will be made no worse spiritually by the addition of banes -- many already inhabit them.
Sepdet smiles up at Inya.
Inya waves as she wanders into the area.
Ron Vidar nods. "Okay. Thanks."
Bloodfang shrugs. But not smaller ones. Banes are much tougher opponents than apes, and our numbers dwindle.
Broken Claw has connected.
Ron Vidar says "Mmm, yes, I see your point."
Bloodfang glances over at Broken Claw. Greetings, Beta.
Sepdet stirs uncomfortably, but keeps any opinions she may have to herself.
Broken Claw stirs slowly and rolls upright. Bloodfang-rhya.
Bloodfang flicks an ear. You may take some time to prepare.
Inya senses "Sepdet sniffs the air, puzzled, then gets a delighted twinkle in her eye. ~Madame Inya?~ she asks hesitantly. (OOC:she's only met you briefly. And has calmed down a bit since then. ;)"
You sense Inya smiles and nods quietly, so as not to interrupt the challenge soon to be in progress, looks like.
Jon Nomad has arrived.
Jon Nomad stirs, muttering something in a low growl. His eyes snap open, blink, and focus on the waking world as he sits up.
On the southern curve, Brandi comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Brandi follows the Wheel to the Pool.
Bloodfang nods to Jon, and waits for Broken Claw to respond.
Near the Pool, Brandi follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Brandi follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Brandi has arrived.
Sepdet quietly meets Jon's eyes with a sympathetic glance.
Ron Vidar yawns, and nods lazily to Jon.
Broken Claw looks up. I am ready.
Ron Vidar says "I hate this damn winter. Guy can't even sit down."
Ron Vidar mutters.
Ron Vidar says "Enough's enough."
Ron Vidar contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Sepdet nods at Brandi respectfully.
Ron Vidar shifts into Lupus form.
Bloodfang arches an eyebrow. Very well, we will proceed. Is there a Philodox here to witness?
Brandi looks over curiously at Sepdet, and then sits down to watch the fun.
You paged Brandi with 'er, I don't remember if Seppy has met you IC yet, but Seppy would.'.
Brandi pages: Nope, haven't met you IC. I'm fairly new too, though, so it's really strange when people associate my name with the word 'respectfully'. :)
Bloodfang grunts as he looks around. No Philodoxes?
Lantern-Eyes says ~Sorry. Theurge.~
Fisher-King wakes up.
Brandi says "How come it has to be a Philodox?"
Fisher-King looks up. ~You require a Judge?~
Bloodfang whuffs. Philodoxes are judges. You are Philodox, Fisher-King?
Sepdet smiles slightly at the Bone Gnawer.
Fisher-King nods, standing up. I have that honor, yes.
Bloodfang nods. Very well. This will be a duel, weaponless and giftless, homid form. He who does not submit wins.
Sepdet flicks an appreciative glance at the gallant Gnawer, and whispers something quietly to Brandi so as not to disturb the proceedings.
Fisher-King nods. What place have you choosen for the duel?
Bloodfang whuffs. The center of the Caern.
Bloodfang heads into the center.
Bloodfang has left.
On the southern curve, Spooner comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Spooner heads into the center.
Fisher-King nods again. It is fitting.
Broken Claw heads into the center.
Broken Claw has left.
Fisher-King heads into the center.
Fisher-King has left.
Brandi senses"Sepdet murmurs ~We have not met... This one is Sepdet, Theurge Strider. Cub.~ her eyes flicker in amusement."
At the center, Spooner heads east, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the eastern curve, Spooner heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
At the center, Bloodfang growls with a bit of amusement. I am ready.
At the center, Bloodfang contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
At the center, Bloodfang shifts into Homid form.
At the center, Broken Claw nods. Ready as well.
At the center, Broken Claw contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
At the center, Broken Claw shifts into Homid form.
You sense Brandi is a bit distracted by the challenge, but... "Heya, nice to meet you. Brandi, Glass Walker, Galliard, etc., etc. Oh yeah, a cub too, I suppose."
Quiet heads into the center.
Quiet has left.
At the center, Bryan Klaus sets his parka vest aside.
At the center, Quiet heads northeast to the fire pit.
Quiet has arrived.
At the center, Bloodfang flexes his arms, using the odd muscle-directions. He too takes off the heavy leather vest.
Quiet stands up and walsk around, watching the two in the center curiously.
At the center, Bloodfang grunts. He half-smiles.
At the center, Bryan Klaus rolls his shoulders forward and back, testing unfamiliar motions.
On the eastern curve, Spooner makes her way out of the woods to the east.
On the eastern curve, Porthos makes his way out of the woods to the east.
On the eastern curve, Spooner follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Spooner has arrived.
At the center, Fisher-King looks from Bloodfang to Broken Claw. ~You are both ready, and understand the conditions of this duel?~
On the eastern curve, Porthos heads into the center.
Inya moves over by the fire to warm herself and watches. "They would harm each other too much, otherwise."
Sepdet nods politely at the new arrivals, eyes fixed on those at center.
At the center, Porthos nods to those gathered quietly, not wanting to interrupt anything.
At the center, Porthos heads northeast to the fire pit.
Porthos has arrived.
At the center, Bloodfang nods at Fisher-King.
Near the Pool, Velasquez appears in a glimmer of light.
Near the Pool, Velasquez follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
Sepdet flicks an ear at Inya, nodding again.
On the eastern curve, Velasquez follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Velasquez has arrived.
Brandi grins at Porthos. "Hiya."
At the center, Bloodfang rubs a hand through his tangle of red hair. "When ready, Gnawer."
At the center, Fisher-King looks at Bryan Klaus.
Inya nods and smiles a greetings.
Porthos nods. "Allo. What're they up to?" He nods toward the center.
Inya says "Challenge."
At the center, Bryan Klaus turns toward Fisher-King. "Understand. Ready."
Quiet sits down again, and whuffs a greetings. They are fighting a challenge.
Porthos nods. "Interesting."
At the center, Fisher-King takes a few steps back. ~Then begin. And let none interfere until the Challenge is finished.~
Velasquez says "Last thing I ever expected in a Talon challenge."
Jon Nomad watches the challenge quietly.
Lantern-Eyes says "Heh."
At the center, Bloodfang throws subtlety to the wind off the bat, and charges at Bryan, arms wide to tackle.
Spooner looks amused.
At the center, Bryan Klaus waits, crouching, for Bloodfang to get close and dodges sideways, leaping out of the way.
From afar, Quiet was rping that she moved here from Texas...not high enough rank for the Rank to transfer with.
At the center, Bloodfang yells as Bryan dodges away. He almost completely misses the younger Garou, continuing on past him. However, his right fist smashes into Bryan's right shoulder as he passes by.
Toxic has arrived.
Toxic OOC never left.
Lantern-Eyes didn't see anyone leave. he just saw Toxic nod off for a bit.
At the center, Bryan Klaus grunts as Bloodfang pounds his shoulder but spins with the blow, facing Bloodfang again.
At the center, Bloodfang stops some yards off and turns. "No control." He grins, showing ugly teeth, and closes more slowly this time.
Toxic watches the challenge at the center and nods to those who came in while she, ahem, dozed off briefly.
Velasquez nods. Or nodded. whatever.
At the center, Bryan Klaus crouches down again, arms held out loosely, grinning. "Come get."
At the center, Bloodfang laughs, a deep booming sound. He jumps forward, levelling a massive-legged kick right at the center of Bryan's crouch, aiming to catch him right in the chest.
Porthos smiles and nods. "Hi, Tox. How is you?"
Toxic twitches a somber ear at Porthos. Upset.
At the center, Bryan Klaus steps back quickly, grabbing at Bloodfang's extended leg.
Anpwhotep has arrived.
Anpwhotep sits with an arm across Toxic's back and his other hand idly scritching Sepdet's shoulder
Lantern-Eyes shoots Toxic a thoughtful glance, puzzled. ~Why so?~
At the center, Bloodfang allows Bryan to grab his foot, and then drags himself in, wrapping massive arms around the younger Garou's head.
Sepdet stirs and nestles over next to Uncle Anpw, still watching the duel carefully.
Porthos looks at Lantern-Eyes, trying to figure out if he's met him in another form.
Quiet tilts her right ear toward Toxic, though her eyes still watch the battle.
At the center, Bryan Klaus lifts the captured leg higher, twisting it, trying to roll Bloodfang off of him and onto the ground.
Toxic shakes her head. More killings. More Dancers. In my territory.
At the center, Bloodfang howls in pain, and brings one fist down hard on Bryan's head. In so doing, he lets loose too much and Bryan dumps him unceremoniously on his head.
Lantern-Eyes has no idea.
Sepdet OOC wonders if her relationship to 'tep means his pack-sister is Seppy's Auntie Toxin. Sorry. ;)
From afar, Fisher-King thwaps you. Bad puppy. Puns are of the Wyrm :)
From afar, Toxic grins softly. Renaissance could -use- a theurge. Be careful what you call her. You might just get the job.
<OOC> Anpwhotep lets Toxic deal with *that* one.....
Jon Nomad remains watching the challenge quietly. Trust him.
Jon Nomad has disconnected.
In the Windy Spot, Breaker follows the Wheel past the Windy Spot.
On the southern curve, Breaker follows the Wheel to the Pool.
Near the Pool, Breaker follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Breaker follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Breaker has arrived.
Spooner waves to Breaker.
Breaker steps in, moving around the proceedings in the center
At the center, Bloodfang flops onto his back after landing on his head. He begins to pull himself back up.
Porthos smiles and nods to Breaker. "'Lo, Breaker."
Breaker says "Hi, folks..."
At the center, Bryan Klaus steps back, clearing his head. He falls back into his combat crouch as Bloodfang pulls himself upright.
Breaker watches the center. This is the Challenge, yes?
Spooner says "Yup."
Sepdet nods politely at the GlassWalker.
At the center, Bloodfang shakes his head and grunts, standing again slowly. "Someone teach you."
Breaker nods, a bit twitchy about his own..
Toxic looks sadly over at Breaker. I regret t'inform ya that your challenge will have t'wait a few days. I have other duties t'night.
At the center, Fisher-King remains silent, circling the combatants slowly so as to have an unobstructed view of their actions.
Toxic sighs. Duties that could na be foreseen.
At the center, Bloodfang looks at Bryan thoughtfully, sizing him up a bit for the next move.
Breaker damn. "Okay."
Breaker says "Batrana been informed?"
At the center, Bloodfang steps closer again, then closes faster, leaning forward and swinging a forceful punch at Bryan's head.
Toxic looks silently at Breaker for a few moments. Not yet. I will inform her. Our friend who drills holes through things has returned.
Anpwhotep nods grimly.
Breaker says "Yeah, that takes priority...."
Anpwhotep is in a state of mind that's so coldly calm that he could freeze helium right now...
Velasquez looks up at Toxic. "He's back?"
Lantern-Eyes glances at Toxic. If you might be needing any assistance on these duties...you know.
At the center, Fisher-King's ears twitch, but he keeps his attention on the Challenge rather than turning to ask Toxic for more information.
On the eastern curve, Maury makes her way out of the woods to the east.
Breaker asks Tox "Where and when? The latest, I mean."
Toxic sighs quietly. He's back. Thank you, Ron. I hope we have time t'call you. He killed two last night. Just across th'street from where my pack lives.
At the center, Bryan Klaus throws his own arm up to block, but Bloodfang's punch rams through his guard, catching him upside the head and knocking him aside, almost down flat but for one hand holding him up.
On the eastern curve, Maury follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Maury has arrived.
On the eastern curve, Echen makes his way out of the woods to the east.
On the eastern curve, Echen follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Echen has arrived.
Toxic stares up at Breaker grimly. This morning. Between 3 and 6 am. A man anna woman. Woman hadda Shadow-Lord mark carved in her forehead.
At the center, Bloodfang follows up with a power-kick, trying to all but place-kick him in the air.
Lantern-Eyes growls. It's not a very pleasant sound.
Maury walks up the side of the wheel, eyes on the fight in the center.
Breaker watches the slugfest in the center. "This could last awhile. They're gonna be regenerating as they fight. Ooog.
Toxic draws a long breath. He...Took his time...With these two. And I think I know what he is, now.
Inya yeeps ooc at the time, and runs off. Ic she stays and watches til the end of the challenge, at least. ;)
Breaker says "What?"
Lantern-Eyes's claws flex. ~If I were the sort who took personal insult, this would be the sort of thing I would take it at.~
Inya has left.
Echen slips away from the fire, silently, eyes on the fight at the center.
Echen makes his way south, back around the Wheel.
Echen has left.
Toxic shudders. A Dancer. A Dancer with claws longer than his head. Long, long claws like knives.
On the eastern curve, Echen heads back to the south and the pool.
Near the Pool, Echen heads west, back along the Wheel's path.
On the southern curve, Echen heads south, out of the Wheel and into the forest.
At the center, Bryan Klaus spits blood and a couple of broken teeth on the ground, and turns his head back to Bloodfang just in time to catch a massive boot in the chest that knocks him back.
Spooner winces, "Ooo. He's gonna feel that tomorrow.. "
On the northern curve, Cyllan emerges from the thin treeline to the north.
Breaker says "Hell, he's feelin' that one NOW..."
Maury swallows, and says to no one in particular, "I must remember not to challenge any ahroun if I can avoid it."
At the center, Bloodfang smiles faintly, and walks toward Bryan's head. He lifts a large boot as though to stomp on it.
Breaker says "Tox, I got a plan."
Toxic looks quietly up at Breaker. Yes?
Breaker says "Bait."
Lantern-Eyes eagerly awaits the practical wisdom of the Glass Walkers.
Toxic chuffs softly. Karlssen?
On the northern curve, Cyllan's eyes widen and she gulps loudly enough to be heard across the caern. Quickly she scoots _around_ the center of the caern.
Breaker nods. "Think he'd go along with it?"
On the northern curve, Cyllan makes her way forward along the Wheel, toward the earth mound.
On the Earth Mound, Cyllan follows the Wheel past the Earth Mound.
On the western curve, Cyllan follows the Wheel to the Windy Spot.
In the Windy Spot, Cyllan follows the Wheel past the Windy Spot.
Quiet looks oddly at Maury before returning her eyes to the battle.
Sepdet's ears unaccountably twitch at the word 'bait.'
At the center, Fisher-King watches the combatants calmly.
At the center, Actaeon rumbles and shakes his mane out as he awakes. He looks at Bloodfang's homid form with some surprise and moves out of the way of the challenge (?)
At the center, Bryan Klaus waits for Bloodfang to get close again then rolls along the ground, grabbing for Bloodfang's calf and knee, to pull him off his one leg.
Lantern-Eyes contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Lantern-Eyes shifts into Homid form.
On the southern curve, Cyllan follows the Wheel to the Pool.
Near the Pool, Cyllan follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
Toxic shrugs lupinely. I have already thought about this. I intend to ask him. He may not last long. I dreamed it, Breaker. He was in crinos, with claws like long knives, and as he reached for my throat there was a bane behind him th'size of a building, balefire so bright I couldn't look straight at it.
Spooner waves Actaeon towards the fire.
At the center, Bloodfang blinks as he feels Bryan's hands close on his calf. As the younger Garou rolls, he carries Bloodfang with him ... the Alpha is thrown several feet and lands facedown in the snow with a grunt.
Ron Vidar tugs at his cuffs out of habit. "If it *is* a Dancer, methinks I may avail myself of a couple of Weaver-tools before the storm, so to speak, is upon us."
Sepdet, who has been watching the fight intently, suddenly notices some of her elders have shown up and nods at the latest arrivals respectfully.
At the center, Victoria slips to the fire pit.
Maury looks up at Ron, eyes slightly wide from the fight, and then looks back.
At the center, Victoria heads northeast to the fire pit.
Victoria has arrived.
At the center, Actaeon whurfs to Victoria and then heads to the fire pit, away from the combatants.
Breaker says "Well, if we're hiding in wait, and he's ready, he MAY survive long enough for us to get into it"
At the center, Actaeon heads northeast to the fire pit.
Actaeon has arrived.
On the eastern curve, Cyllan follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Cyllan has arrived.
Anpwhotep nods. ~The stench of Wyrm, even on the bodies, was heavy enough to make me sick, sis."
Toxic nods to Breaker. We will see, I suppose.
Ron Vidar grunts.
Quiet turns away from the battle to look at Actaeon for a long moment, before nodding her head.
Spooner says "Yo, bonehead."
Toxic nuzzles Anpwhotep. I know, Bro. This is not th'first time I have seen these. I told you, remember?
Actaeon pads over and settles down beside Spooner, his ears pricked alertly. He regards Quiet for a brief moment.
At the center, Bryan Klaus brings himself half-upright, then, seeing momentary vulnerability, leaps, aiming elbows at Bloodfang's back.
Anpwhotep hugs Toxic and nods. ~Yeah.~
Spooner says "Er, Alpha bonehead. "
At the center, Bloodfang begins pulling himself back up, growling, when Bryan lands elbows-first on his back, plowing him back facefirst in the snow.
Actaeon snorts and lets his tongue loll out. Paleface. What news?
Toxic, rather strangely for a wolf, makes a loud ringing sound. She sighs and pads off to the side.
Toxic contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Toxic shifts into Homid form.
Breaker says "If he's Bane-powered, we should have several of us in the Umbra to deal with that aspect simulaneously with a few of us in the Relam to shred his ass."
Toxic tugs a cellular phone out of a coatpocket and flips it open. "Yo."
Ron Vidar says "I like the hair, Tox. Fitting."
Velasquez chuckles, looking at Toxic.
Sepdet looks wistfully up at her Uncle with that familiar I'm-only-a-cub-but-wish-i-could-DO-something expression.
Cyllan says "Who _are_ we talking 'bout this time?"
Breaker says "This is the Challenge fight tween Bloodfang and Broken Claw, Actaeon."
Toxic sighs into the phone. "Boss-rhya."
Breaker says "The cookie-cutter killer, Cyllan, the one that's killing Kinfolk"
Actaeon rumbles to Breaker. You know who it is now?
At the center, Bryan Klaus clambers up Bloodfang's back, reaching the left arm around Bloodfang's left arm and chest, the right circling for a chokehold.
Spooner ruffles Actaeon's ears. "Nothin' much. Maybe getting a job for my free time."
Ron Vidar starts laughing. "Cookie-cutter killer?"
Sepdet shudders a little at Breaker's cavalier description.
Actaeon flicks an ear. You got free time?
Breaker says "Tox says it's a Spiral with silver long claws and some sort of Bane associated..."
Actaeon cocks his head.
Anpwhotep nods to Sepdet and nuzzles her gently. ~This one is too dangerous for you, dear. At least, it is unless you know some pretty nasty cleansing rites.~
Sepdet shakes her head with a sigh. ~I know. Someday.~
Velasquez says "Don' laugh man. 's nasty stuff."
Victoria has disconnected.
Actaeon growls. Too many dancers.
Spooner says "Someone's gotta keep you in sloppy joes."
Ron Vidar says "Then why the hell's he giving it a laughable name like 'cookie-cutter killer'?"
Breaker says "Yup, I got time. My Challenge's postponed..."
At the center, Bloodfang wraps both arms back behind his back, wrapping arms around the waist of his opponent, and lurches.
Breaker says "It ain't my term, Ron."
Velasquez says "Because it's accurate."
Ron Vidar grunts.
Breaker says "He kills by cutting six-inch cores from people."
Ron Vidar says "You don't think he could come up with...ah, hell with it. Stupid thing to argue over."
Ron Vidar says "Does he."
Ron Vidar says "Creative guy."
Toxic sighs softly into the phone, "Two this time. Male. Female. Male was strung up onna dumpster inna empty lot east of Rennaisance Place. He shaved alla th'flesh off his skull. Only left th'eyes. Looks like he had time t'k...he took his time."
Cyllan shudders.
At the center, Bryan Klaus adds his left hand, pushed free as Bloodfang reaches back, to the chokehold, and slams his forehead into the back of Bloodfang's head.
Porthos says "What part does he take, usually?"
Cyllan says "It's varied, hasn't it?"
Breaker says "Chest. Once he took a woman's um... female bits."
Maury looks sick as she overhears Toxic.
Breaker indicates about two inches below the belt buckle.
Toxic says "Tongue and larynx cut out, too. Probably took'im a while t'die, but he was quiet about it. Bastards always quiet about it."
Velasquez shakes his head slowly.
At the center, Bloodfang grunts, and begins choking, but secures his rear-hold on Bryan, and SQUEEZES. You begin to hear Bryan's back popping now and again.
Porthos nods. "Sorta like the killer in 'Silence of the Lambs', only he takes chunks, not just skin?"
Ron Vidar grunts again, at Breaker. "Real sweetheart."
Maury shudders again.
Breaker nods. "It's about as ugly as it gets."
Ron Vidar says "On the other hand, I guess we gotta have someone around so we can all act tough and macho."
Breaker winces at the crunching in the Center
Spooner snorts and goes back to watch the Center.
Ron Vidar says "Hope he leaves the kid in one piece. Literally."
At the center, Fisher-King moves a little so he can clearly see what is happening, and continues to watch impassively.
Porthos looks at Ron. "We're part wolf. Tough and Macho is a big part of that part."
Toxic says "Woman hadda core taken outta her pelvis...About a foot across. He musta been in crinos this time. Then he opened her up from there t'th'throat, dragged out what he could, tugged it and let'er drop by th'look of it."
Anpwhotep nods.
Ron Vidar says "That much I can tell from looking around."
Ron Vidar says this to Porthos, yes, whose name he doesn't know.
At the center, Bryan Klaus moans, a long sustained grunt of pain, but digs his right forearm deeper into Bloodfang's throat, moving the left farther up, pulling the head back to expose more neck.
Sepdet nuzzles Anpw, then gets up and pads over to settle down beside Maury. ~Hold fast, sister. Not much longer.~
Breaker watches the fight, not really wanting to think too much about the other subject, at least not this aspect
Porthos nods to Ron. "Sorry. Porthos Dog-of-War, Silver Fang Ahroun cub."
At the center, Bloodfang's choking becomes more pronounced. He releases his hold, and grabs at Klaus' arms.
Porthos holds out a hand in greeitng.
Toxic says "Sigil cut in her forehead. Shadow-Lord's glyph. Donna know if th'male wuzza 'nother kinfolk or just her unlucky accompaniement of th'evening."
Cyllan's arms creep across her belly and she huddles there for a moment.
Quiet watches the fight, her tail twitching every few seconds.
Ron Vidar grunts. "Ron Eyes-Like-Green-Lanterns Vidar, Shadow Lord theurge, and yeah, you can start acting like I'm a psycho now." He shakes the hand anyway.
On the eastern curve, Batrana Dracul makes her way out of the woods to the east.
On the eastern curve, Batrana Dracul heads into the center.
At the center, Batrana Dracul snorts.
At the center, Batrana Dracul heads northwest to the mound of earth.
At the center, Fisher-King nods quietly to the Master of the Challenge.
Porthos cocks his head. "Psycho? You show me your psycho, I'll show you my Macho."
Porthos grins.
Spooner grins, "Oh, so you won't notice if I'm psychotic, then. Spooner. Ragabash. Furies."
Brandi says "How many people has this dancer killed, Toxic? All total."
Ron Vidar says "Yah, I'm surrounded by blood enemies."
Quiet looks at Ron. We are all Garou. Our blood enemy is the Wyrm.
Sepdet lowers her eyes respectfully.
At the center, Bloodfang holds on to one of Bryan's arms and tries to pry it off, but seems not to be succeeding. He uses the other hand to try to slam a fist into Bryan's head.
Ron Vidar grunts. "I know some Silver Fangs back in Jersey who might disagree with you."
Toxic is talking on the phone, Brandi.
Velasquez looks at quiet. "Wouldn't know it by hanging around here some days."
Near the Pool, Oaken appears in a glimmer of light.
Sepdet er, at our favorite crone.
Near the Pool, Oaken heads into the center.
At the center, Bryan Klaus growls, baring blunt but white Homid teeth and pulls tighter, hanging on for dear life.
Maury looks somewhat sick, but manages to say to Ron, "Maury Tierney, Philodox, Fianna."
Brandi ahs. How rude of her.
Ron Vidar says "Pleased to meet'cha, I'm sure."
At the center, Oaken blinks at the confusion he's just entered the middle of.
At the center, Oaken heads northeast to the fire pit.
Oaken has arrived.
Breaker says "Oh, don't worry about tonight's fight. It's a Rank challenge. It's the Talon way of doing things. And they'll heal right quick, cause of the nature of the injuries they're dealing."
Ron Vidar says "Clearly I've been in the lab too long. Too many new faces."
At the center, Bryan Klaus's growl ends suddenly as Bloodfang's fist lands to the side of his face. His legs scramble to keep him atop Bloodfang but he retains his grip.
Toxic frowns at Brandi and holds up six fingers, then makes a plus sign by crossing two fingers.
Toxic turns away from the group and talks quietly into the small phone, obviously uncomfortable.
At the center, Bloodfang's face reddens and his hands drop as his final ploy fails to dislodge Bryan. He makes a hand signal of forfeit to Fisher-King as he collapses to the ground, nearly unconscious from blood flow being stopped from his brain.
Cyllan glances at Ron Vidar. "I don't know if you know me or not. Cyllan Briar; philodox of the Uktena."
Spooner says softly, "Ker-plop."
Ron Vidar says "I think I remember you, yeah."
Breaker grins at the center. Claw done it, cool!
Actaeon glances at the center and whurfs. Unorthodox, but not bad.
Cyllan grins, andlooks back into the center of the wheel. "Cool."
Breaker contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Breaker shifts into Hispo form.
At the center, Fisher-King pads over to the combatants.
Cyllan heads into the center.
Cyllan has left.
At the center, Cyllan heads northeast to the fire pit.
Cyllan has arrived.
At the center, Bryan Klaus releases Bloodfang upon seeing his signal and Fisher-King approaching.
Breaker gives a properly-enthusiastic (and loud) howl of approval. Yow! Claw-yuf!
At the center, Fisher-King looks at Bryan wryly. ~You can let go now.~
Sepdet murmurs something quietly to Maury.
At the center, Bloodfang coughs violently and sprawls on the ground as his neck is released.
At the center, Fisher-King nods to Bryan and Bloodfang. ~Well fought.~
Actaeon howls briefly, in approval, as well.
Cyllan says "Cool!"
Breaker grins toothily, then reverts.
Breaker contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Breaker shifts into Homid form.
At the center, Fisher-King looks around at the gathered Garou. ~The combatants remained within the limits of the duel.....Broken Claw's Challenge is successful.~
Oaken blinks at the cane and lace of the newcomer. ~Oaken of the McDaniels, Fianna Galliard ; part-time rumorsniffer. Hey there.~
At the center, Bryan Klaus rolls off of Bloodfang's back and watches him carefully, gasping for his own breath.
You whisper "~you gonna be okay?~" to Maury.
Porthos gives a low, homid version of an approval howl. "Good show, packbrother."
Spooner looks over at Porthos, "What was .that.?"
Ron Vidar (newcomer? heh) nods to Oaken. "You caught my name, I assume."
You sense Maury nods, still looking sick. "T-toxic's descriptions were a l-little graphic."
At the center, Bloodfang pulls himself back to hands and feet. He hacks and spits and coughs a bit.
Sepdet nuzzles Maury hesitantly.
At the center, Fisher-King turns to the Earth Mound and nods respectfully to the Master of the Challenge, then paces over to the Fire Pit, after making sure that Bloodfang is still numbered among the living.
Porthos grins, lookin at Spooner. "Never heard a homid howl?"
Spooner says "Sounded like a cow strangling."
At the center, Bryan Klaus tries to homid-howl as well, but after a rather inauspicious beginning, the howl dissolves into a cough.
Oaken looks back to Ron. Afraid not; windy night, donchaknow.
At the center, Fisher-King heads northeast to the fire pit.
Fisher-King has arrived.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul settles her self onto the top of the hillock.
At the center, Bloodfang seems to recover and looks over at Broken Claw with a slight smile. "Fight good. Dumb form, good fight."
Maury senses "Sepdet murmurs. ~I know. Our Elders will deal with... that monster... as quickly as they can.~ She doesn't quite sound sure enough, though."
Ron Vidar says "Ron Vidar. Eyes-Like-Green-Lanterns. Theurge, Shadow Lords. Charmed, I'm sure."
At the center, Bloodfang contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
At the center, Bryan Klaus grins at Bloodfang and nods. "Agreed. Good fight, ~Alpha~".
Cyllan snorts at Bloodfang.
At the center, Bloodfang shifts into Lupus form.
At the center, Bryan Klaus contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
At the center, Bryan Klaus shifts into Lupus form.
At the center, Bloodfang howls in his Beta's honor. Well done, Broken Claw.
At the center, Broken Claw howls with Bloodfang, getting it right this time.
Fisher-King relaxes somewhat, no longer 'on duty'. He looks back at the Center. ~Congratulations, Broken Claw......-yuf.~
At the center, Bloodfang looks at Broken Claw's mouth. How those teeth?
Maury whispers "And we won't help. It sounds dangerous, but they _all_ sound dangerous."
You paged Maury with 'just had the sudden image of a kid huddled in her parka with a small black lab trying to cheer her up. :)'.
Oaken sidles over to Anpwhotep.
At the center, Broken Claw probes his mouth with his tongue, raising an eyebrow in surprise. New teeth are there. Sharper, too.
At the center, Broken Claw whurfs to Fisher-King. ~I thank for judge, Fisher-King-yuf.~
At the center, Bloodfang nods. One of the good things about regeneration. They will come faster if you stay non-Lupus.
On the eastern curve, Arjun Fletcher makes his way out of the woods to the east.
You whisper "~We'll do our part someday, however we are able to. Now, we give them hope. Tease us they may, but we will carry on after them, and they are glad of us.~" to Maury.
At the center, Broken Claw nods to Bloodfang.
Fisher-King nods. (A log is available for those who want it)
At the center, Broken Claw contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
At the center, Broken Claw shifts into Hispo form.
Oaken flicks up both ears as Arjun appears.
On the eastern curve, Arjun Fletcher heads into the center.
Breaker waves over to Number One.
At the center, Bloodfang nods to the Alpha.
Actaeon rumbles to Arjun.
At the center, Broken Claw rumbles greeting to the Alpha.
At the center, Arjun Fletcher nods to all and glances about.
Sepdet dips her eyes respectfully to the approaching Alpha.
Anpwhotep blinks and looks at Oaken in surprise. ~You think so?~
Velasquez says "Heya, Arjun man."
At the center, Bloodfang stands, with a last nod to the new Rank 1 Talon, and lopes back toward the woods to meet his mate.
At the center, Arjun Fletcher grins. "Evening, Velasquez."
Oaken nods at Anpwhotep. ~Ran here from a conversation with a spirit bonded to him.~
Cyllan blinks, and then nods to Arjun.
At the center, Bloodfang heads south, away from the center of the Wheel.
On the southern curve, Bloodfang heads south, out of the Wheel and into the forest.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul dusts off her dress.
Anpwhotep looks to Ron Vidar and Fisher-King, then back to Oaken.
Fisher-King glances at Anpwhotep curiously. What bothers you, Far-Runner?
At the center, Arjun Fletcher smiles and half-bows with a twitch of his coat. "Dracul-rhya."
Oaken nods and moves softly around the edge of the crowd.
Ron Vidar grunts.
Maury watches Arjun.
Oaken whispers to Fisher-King
Breaker gotta see this. (re: Arjun's challenge)
Fisher-King shakes his head.
Spooner stretches, softly whapping Porthos and Actaeon on either side of her.
At the center, Broken Claw heads northeast to the fire pit.
Broken Claw has arrived.
Anpwhotep nods to Oaken.
Fisher-King rumbles a reply.
Porthos grins. "Watch it, Snowball."
Breaker grins. "Heyo, Claw-yuf. Good fight!"
At the center, Arjun Fletcher says "I am ready to enact the challenge, Batrana, at your convenience."
Oaken moves to Ron Vidar and murmurs something.
Actaeon snorts and bats at Spooner's arm with his nose.
Broken Claw growls, nodding. ~Thank.~
Toxic says "Congratulations, Broken Claw. Whaddaya give me t'keep me from waving photos of ya in homid all over th'caern?"
Anpwhotep looks down at his favorite sister/alpha.....and rolls over laughing
Ron Vidar shakes his head at Oaken. "Fraid not."
Cyllan giggles at Toxic. "They cute in Homid. You should try and sell themto GQ or something." :-)
Fisher-King rolls his eyes at Cyllan.
Ron Vidar says "Hey, these are Red Talons."
You paged Anpwhotep with 'good night, dear. tell me what I missed :)'.
Broken Claw looks up at Toxic, amused. ~What is the homid saying? A leg and an arm?~
Ron Vidar says "Being cute is likely to be a capital offense."
Anpwhotep pages: Will do, love.
