Around the Fire Pit
The small rock-shielded firepit just within the path of the Wheel contains a small, brightly burning fire. The ground is baked near it, and grasses grow in waves away from it, starting scraggly and getting greener near the inner groove of the Wheel. To the west is the earthen mound, and back to the south is the small pool.

l me
Sepdet(#3589Pc)
At first glance, you might mistake her for an oversized jackel, certainly not a full-grown garou in hispo form. Her body is covered in sleek black fur still unmarred by any trace of battle. Her muzzle and ears are long indeed, and her eyes, dipping respectfully whenever they meet another's gaze, drink in everything around her. Fast and graceful yet often moving with the nervous self-consciousness of a cub, her nose is always primed to sniff out new and interesting smells.
At the center, Toxic looks around worriedly, then over towards the horizon where the sun is setting and soon the moon will be rising.
Lara-Anne stands up and walks to the center.
Lara-Anne heads into the center.

On the northern curve, Joan heads into the center.
At the center, Lilith probably won't be here for most of the Moot. Just showed up, OOCly speaking.

At the center, Lara-Anne gazes at Jon.
At the center, Cyllan dropped Horatio.
At the center, Toxic smiles softly at Elizabeth, then at Maury, then goes back to looking around worriedly.

At the center, Toxic nods to Lilith.
At the center, Cyllan dropped Horatio.
At the center, Lara-Anne says "Toxic-rhya... what's troubling you?"
Anpwhotep whispers "I think she might have challenged. I'm not sure."
At the center, Elizabeth squeezes a tight fist, and smilses....then pauses.
Grey Eyes smiles.
At the center, Joan folds her arms across her chest and looks at the mass of Garou.
At the center, Bloodfang cocks an eyebrow at Astram. Yes, Alpha.
At the center, Elizabeth turns and looks at Astram. "Yes sir." The smile gets chased away like clouds before a storm.
You whisper "~Good for her.~" to Anpwhotep.

On the northern curve, Elizabeth turns to the north, and leaves past the rim of the Wheel.
At the center, Stormcrow smiles to Kassi, beckoning her over.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis climbs atop the Earth Mound and sits elegantly upon his haunches.
Anpwhotep sits quietly, idly scritching Sepdet's ruff...
Cindi nods and also scritches Sepdet, looking contemplative.
At the center, Horatio bows to the assembly and moves to stand outside the circle of garou.
At the center, Toxic heads nervously over to the pool, breathing evenly.
Sepdet sits sure and silent at Anpwhotep's side, watching and waiting.
Pfo appears in a shimmer of light.
In the Windy Spot, Flying Bear snarls at the fairy. ~Get out. Now. Or die, now.~
Nightmare's howl trails off with the others, his eyes glittering.
Oaken looks over at Jon with concern.
StarShine moves over by Jon and places her hand gently on Jon's shoulder.
Spooner nods once to Erik.

Rowan stares at Flying Bear for a moment, then bites down on her finger.
In the Windy Spot, Dark-Dancer says ~He is a Jaggling, not a fairy.~

In the Windy Spot, Flying Bear heads into the center.
Flying Bear has arrived.
Jon Nomad shakes his head slightly, not looking at those by him.
Calypso lets her howl fade away and gazes at the spirit.
Near the Pool, Toxic licks her lips a moment, looking around the Wheel, then focussing on the center again. ~I am Toxic, born under the waning Galliard's moon to the tribe of the Glass Walk. Tonight I am Mistress of this Howl.~
Calypso contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Calypso shifts into Homid form.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez looks back at Fisher King, confused.
Quiet's voice still rumbles in her throat for a long moment, only loud enough for the Garou very near her to hear. Finally, she is silent again, her dark eyes watching.
Hecate watches Toxic silently, a soft smile playing across her lips.
Grey Eyes shifts into Lupus form.
Adrian's ears shift forward attentively.
Actaeon settles back into a squat beside Spooner.
Anpwhotep smiles and watches his packsister proudly.
StarShine contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Horatio sits down and surveys the scene with a soft sniff.
Storm settles beside Anp watching as well...
Lara-Anne shifts into Hispo form.
Erik settles down, quiet and attentive, looking at once out-of-place and proudly at home in his uniform.
l Erik

Erik Krugyach is a tall, slim man gifted with an undefinable poise. Long, glossy black hair gathered into a waist-length ponytail by a thin knotted strip of red silk contrasts almost poetically with his fair skin. His piercing blue eyes add accent and sharp focus.
Dressed for work, Erik is in a white-and-navy-blue paramedic's uniform. Shoulder patches identify him as a driver and paramedic for First Mercy, an ambulance and rescue service serving Hilliard Memorial Hospital, and the shining badge on his chest is issued by the city of Saint Claire. His long hair is braided and tucked into his collar, meeting the spirit (if not the letter) of the uniform code.
From a broad belt on his hips are a two-way radio, several large pouches containing emergency medical supplies, and, disquietingly, a nylon sheath for a telescoping baton.

Breaker shifts into Homid form.
Storm Dancer chuffs softly at Jon and curls up near his feet.
MoonMist nuzzles Jon's hand.
Astram rumbles to the windy spot. Jonathan, Brandi, to the center.
Windrunner walks over to MoonMist.
In the Windy Spot, Brandi heads into the center.
Brandi has arrived.
Grey Eyes moves over near Nomad and Storm Dancer before settling down to listen.
On the southern curve, Lyta comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Lyta heads into the center.
Lyta has arrived.
Near the Pool, Toxic glances over toward the Windy Spot amusedly, then back to the Center. ~The Litany we live by, the living Law of the Garou, is ancient, timeless. It is our code. The way in which we live purely in the defense and healing of Gaia. Tonight I speak the Litany. Tonight I honor the Ways.~
Jon Nomad sits, looking listlessly towards the pool.
Sepdet gives Sirius one last glance, and sits, stretching her paws before her in serene Sphinx-fashion.
In the Windy Spot, Dark-Dancer looks over at Astram, surprised. He stands and paces slowly inward.
In the Windy Spot, Dark-Dancer heads into the center.
Dark-Dancer has arrived.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez grins as Toxic speaks.
Stormcrow's ears focus attentively on the Glasswalker.
Luna's Arrow greets her packleader quietly before turning to look at Toxic.
Flying Bear snorts quietly, but does not speak.
Calypso nods to Lyta respectfully.
White Veils chuffs, and pads back a few steps, hanging at the edge of the pack.
Brandi wanders over to find a spot near Windrunner.
Lyta greets Luna's Arrow and Hecate with a nod, warmth lighting her dark eyes. ~Packsisters.~
Anpwhotep smiles warmly at his adren, then focuses on his packsister
Spooner settles comfortably near Actaeon.
Near the Pool, Toxic stares into the Caern's heart, at the Garou which are its lifeblood. Her voice is low but penetrating. ~Garou shall not breed with Garou.~
Dark-Dancer sits, not quite close to anyone.
Maury presses against Echen a little tighter, and watches Toxic.
Dark-Dancer shudders.
Hecate's eyes flick to Lyta; she dips her head slightly and then returns her gaze to Toxic.
Breaker grins *sweetly* at Toxic
MoonMist listens intently to Toxic.
Flying Bear spits again.
Storm Dancer seems to be reciting the litany under her breath as she hears it spoken.
Sepdet's eyes are sad.
Actaeon snorts somewhat amusedly.
Storm pricks her ears.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "Good way to cut off numbers -- We're not small enough yet. Personally, I seen metis that're worth more than 10 of some other garou, an' the rules tell us to cut it off. Good call."
Stormcrow's eyes narrow as he fixes Flying Bear with a chill gaze.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn watches the reaction to this tenet with curiousity.
White Veils cocks her head, and turns her ears towards Toxic, but doesn't make a sound.
Rowan removes her finger from between her teeth, and glances at Flying Bear.
Flying Bear ~Yeah, and the next generation we've got none, ya stupid git.~
Stormcrow growls, ~And what of those born with no claws..or weak teeth?~
Spooner rumbles softly with laughter.
Luna's Arrow's expression darkens, but she says nothing.
Breaker says "Then they die in the good fight, Stormcrow-Rhya."
Breaker grins, and sits over by Actaeon. The Horn Section.
Stormcrow snorts, ~They die a useless death.~
Breaker says "More than claws-and-teeth to being Garou."
Fisher-King says ~Would you have us inbreed to the point of weakness? Those who breed only among themselves lose their connection with the rest of the world.~
MoonMist nods in agreement with Breaker.
Grey Eyes nods.
Flying Bear ~Metis end up warped and twisted. Don't be fools.~
Sepdet sighs. ~Peace. Those who are worthy of Gaia will prove themselves by honoring her.~ she mutters.
Stormcrow growls, ~You wish to be Fool tonight, Walker?~
Rowan points at Flying Bear. "He rests his case."
Actaeon rumbles, sagely, ~Except for peaceful ones like Flying Bear and Me.~
Near the Fire Pit, The corner of Thorn's mouth twitches in a smile.
Storm Dancer giggles wolfishly.
Flying Bear snorts amusedly.
Breaker says "Oh, I'm that, every night. Not my place, though..."
Near the Pool, Toxic continues, staring at Actaeon and Flying Bear with an interesting expression. ~Combat the Wyrm wherever it is found, wherever it breeds.~
Stormcrow nods, ~Remember that.~
Bloodfang has connected.
Maury points an ear at Actaeon briefly.
White Veils crouches slightly, and takes another step backwards.
Banestriker smiles something of a snarl at this.
Actaeon looks at Velasquez eagerly.
Luna's Arrow's mouth parts in a smiling snarl.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez laughs. "A little too unconditional for me. If the Wyrm's agents is found in a room with 50 other wyrm's agents, I know I personally will wait an' fight them on my terms."
Flying Bear ~And you will die without honor, a weak coward, rather than gloriously and with honor.~
Bloodfang growls in agreement.
Stormcrow Growls, ~Then you'd better get out now, cause we're already outnumbered worse than that.~
Lyta paces for a moment, then sits near Luna's Arrow, her posture straight. She watches the gathered Sept intently.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "But I'll be /alive/, man. That's the point."
Storm whurfles Storm will find a way to fight them without getting herself killed.
Stormcrow spits, ~No you won't...not when your people hear of your cowardice.~
Actaeon snarls, ~Drop but one true Garou in that room, and all the Wyrmspaws would be as nothing.~
Sepdet nods, eyes glittering, at Actaeon.
Storm stands. ~We are all true Garou.~
Near the Pool, Toxic shoots an amused look at the Windy Spot, her voice cutting with quiet force over the crowd's noise. ~You shall respect th'territory of others.~
Luna's Arrow looks over to Lyta at Toxic's words.
Actaeon looks, again, to Velasquez.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "Oh yeah. Now, how do you determine whose territory is whose? Draw lines? Plus you got the lupus sayin' EVERYTHING is theirs, 'cuz they were here first. How about a few guidelines, eh?"
Quiet's eyes regard Actaeon quietly.
Maury looks over at Velasquez silently, eyes gleaming a little at this tenet.
Bloodfang snarls. The Litany _is_ your guideline. Live by it.
Storm nods in agreement with Bloodfang.
Lyta's eyes settle on Toxic, and remain focused there as she listens.
That is not a player.
Actaeon rumbles. ~I fight for my territory, you better damn well respect it.~
Actaeon growls. ~Or pretty soon there's no food for anyone~
Storm Dancer nuzzles Jon as she listens to everyone.
Spooner rumbles with a grin, ~Thinking with your stomach again, Actaeon?~
Actaeon snorts.
Archer says "Don't mark what isn't yours."
White Veils stops crouching, and slowly raises her head.
Grey Eyes says, ~Mind that when you hunt in the Wolfwoods in winter.~ to noone in particular.
Breaker grins. "Hey, that's MY tree!"
Jon Nomad listens quietly.
MoonMist wolfgrins at Breaker.
Near the Pool, Toxic growls quietly, ~Accept those who surrender honorably.~
Anpwhotep says, ~Unless you can pretend you didn't see the surrender~
Storm sits back down beside Anp and nuzzles him softly...
Chaser glances at Grey Eyes and meets his gaze with a lupine smile. She nods in agreement.
Astram eyes Anpwhotep sternly.
Stormcrow snarls, ~Be silent, cub. You are not the Fool tonight.~
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "An' the Talon version, 'Accept only if you want to.' Hey, maybe they do got a point though, if you got the chance to get rid o' some stuck up idiot, maybe it's a good idea."
Echen's eyes pick out Flying Bear in the crowd and rest there for but a moment before turning back to Toxic, attentively.
Sepdet looks a little startled at her companion.
Bloodfang looks over at Anpwhotep. Silence, lest you be judged a true fool.
Rowan mutters something suspiciously like, "Too late."
Fisher-King smiles faintly at Velasquez....
Bloodfang looks at Velasquez. You, Fool, are blind if you believe that the Talons act so.
Archer asks if Wyrmspawn are allowed to surrender.
Storm growls at the comment about Talons.
Luna's Arrow tosses her head. ~What has the Fool against the Talons?~
Actaeon rumbles. ~Fail to accept the surrender and be wary lest your own throat be next.~
Adrian rumbles amusedly at Bloodfang's remark.
Breaker, to Archer: "Nah. Keyword is 'honorable'."
Broken Claw growls. ~Wyrmspawn have no honor. Cannot honorable surrender.~
Astram looks at Luna's Arrow amusedly. ~The Fool is the Fool. It is his duty to mock.~
Bloodfang nods. The Wyrm, by definition, is without honor.
Dark-Dancer says ~Wyrmspawn never surrender. They have only the intelligence to fight or flee.~
Near the Pool, Toxic looks at Bloodfang, ~Submission to those above you in station.~
Maury's ears flatten briefly before coming back up.
You whisper to Anpwhotep ~We Garou seem most threatened by humor, don't we?~ says ruefully.
Luna's Arrow chuffs, and nudges Calypos with her nose.
Near the Pool, Toxic lets her gaze wander from face to face in the wane of the brief intertribal accusations.
White Veils's fur on her shoulders ruffs up, but she manages to get it more or less flat again.
Chaser glances at Banestriker. Her nostrils flare slightly, but her eyes flash in amusement before dropping to the ground.
Storm Dancer wrinkles up her nose and reveals bright teeth for just a moment.
Anpwhotep whispers "Humor forces people to think. Our people have never been very good at thinking."
Oaken snorts a little, hiding it behind his claw.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "Submission? Is that all? Maybe we gotta different litany around here, I thought ours said 'worship'! Why listen to 'em if they're WRONG? That's what I say. They're not gods, they're not omnipotent, they jus' been around longer."
Nightmare manages not to comment.
Dark-Dancer turns his head to look briefly at Storm Dancer, then back toward Toxic.
Bloodfang snarls. And when you walk blindly into a trap that they know how to avoid, on your cowardly head be it for your stupidity.
Anpwhotep grins at Velasquez, nodding.
Actaeon rumbles. ~We listen to them BECAUSE they've been around longer.~
Rowan eyes Stormcrow. "Among other reasons."
Actaeon snarls. ~To live is one of the greatest achievement of our race, in such dangerous time.~
Storm Dancer seems to agree with Actaeon.
Stormcrow arches an eyebrow at his packmate.
Breaker chuckles. "An experienced bully is still a bully."
Rowan stares up at Stormcrow, all fifty feet of him.
Maury points both ears at Velasquez, and restrains herself from saying anything.
Echen nuzzles Maury gently, one ear still cocked towards Toxic.
Broken Claw glares toward the Fool with dark eyes, ignoring Breaker's commentary.
Storm Dancer tilts her head and looks at Actaeon as she speaks. ~He's also a bully you can learn from.~
Actaeon snorts amusedly.
Erik grins at Actaeon. Yay, Team.
Near the Pool, Toxic clasps her hands behind her back, ears looking amused at the philosophical discussions, ~The first part of the -kill- to the greatest in station.~ Her emphasis is far from subtle.
Bloodfang looks over at Toxic.
Erik whups
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "Yeah, right. First part of the kill to whoever gets there first. You too slow, the hell with you."
Lyta quirks an eyebrow at Toxic's emphasis.
Actaeon rumbles. ~Greatest in station gives the most, so should get the most.~
Fisher-King mutters something about taxes.
Bloodfang glowers at both the Fool and the Talesinger, as though he knows that they're pulling something together here, but not sure exactly what it is.
Quiet flicks her ears, her poture relaxing a bit as a slight whuff of amusement esacpes her.
Hecate eyes Bloodfang balefully as she follows his gaze towards Toxic.
Bloodfang eventually snarls at the Fool. Well enough. Those greater in station _should_ lead from the front, and cowards like yourself can hide in the back.
Near the Pool, Toxic flattens her ears and leans forward. This time her growl is loud and forceful. ~You shall show respect for those beneath you in station...~ She pauses momentarily, gathering breath. ~ALL are of Gaia!~
Actaeon eyes Hecate and snorts.
Oaken eyes the Furies carefully.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis watches Toxic quietly from atop the Mound, as though evaluating her from across the clearing.
Rowan stares back at Oaken.
Lyta straightens slightly as she notices Hecate's glare toward Bloodfang. The movement is a sort of physical clearing of the throat.
Luna's Arrow remains still, eyes fixed only on Toxic.
Rowan says "Careful, there's a dark and a light side of the force, y'know."
Maury's ears point at Toxic with a rumble.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "Hey Toxic, you readin' the wrong litany...ours got rid of that rule long ago, seems. But I go along with it, as long as the dude below you isn't a complete idiot. Kind of a common sense thing, but maybe some people need it spelled out for 'em."
Spooner whuffles with laughter.
Calypso quietly looks from garou to garou at each tenet, observing their reactions, andlearning.
Hecate's eyes flick to Lyta, and she dips her head slightly, returning her gaze to Toxic.
Bloodfang growls. Those who respect the law of honoring their elders are themselves honored.
Breaker *snerk*
Spooner looks at Actaeon and then herself, ~Hear that, Acty. We're the Force, now.~
Nightmare simply listens, by all appearances patiently.
Bloodfang looks over at Breaker coldly.
Fisher-King looks at Velasquez with amusement. ~You wish the elders to respect you, but you refuse to respect them?~
Maury chuffs at Bloodfang, an obviously amused sound.
Actaeon rumbles. ~Ever any question? You just keep your lightsaber away from me.~
Breaker grins cheerfully back at Bloodfang. Breaker's having a good time.
Kevin Callahan watches quietly, listening.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez glares back at FK, but doesn't comment...for now.
Bloodfang nods at Fisher-King as he makes the point more accurately.
White Veils's eyes reflect the firelight, and she turns her ears to Toxic.
Spooner says, ~Funny, I had the same request.~
Near the Pool, Toxic continues seriously, ~The Veil shall not be breached.~
Sepdet shivers slightly.
You whisper "~Not yet~ she adds with a trace of nervousness." to Anpwhotep.
Chaser glances toward Thorn, meeting his eyes.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn swallows.
Bloodfang glowers at the Fool, waiting to hear is sophistry on this one.
Horatio flicks his tail so that it covers his nose. It looks (oddly enough) quite like a veil of fur.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "Tell that to the guys out at Two Lakes! Besides. If you can get away with it, do it. You gotta do what you gotta do, an' if that means going crinos to take someone down, go for it."
Storm Dancer snorts in derision.
Bloodfang snarls. And their fate will be yours.
Actaeon growls. ~And when the hordes of weaver-driven homids drive up and inject you with their drugs? And the Wyrm discovers each and every Garou? What then?~
Breaker loses a bit of his cheer, the 'if only's' coming back again.
Stormcrow growls, ~And you can know first hand how it feels to die with the Homid's silver bullets in your belly.~
Dark-Dancer wonders whether Stormcrow has first-hand experience at dying.
Near the Fire Pit, Aaron heads into the center.
Aaron has arrived.
Windrunner remebers what that feels like.
Windrunner not dying.. just silver. :)
You sense Anpwhotep gently scritches your ruff, ~Not yet what, little one?~
Anpwhotep senses "Sepdet dips her eyes a little nervously. ~It is why I avoid the City. And Mirrors. This one cannot hide the truth of herself no matter what form she takes, when reflections betray her. Some metis curses are more subtle than others.~"
Stormcrow wonders Dark-Dancer would like to?
Flying Bear doesn't say a word. Now is the time to argue with the Fool, after all, and he obviously agrees.
Dark-Dancer's Moonwatch says "The current exact time is 19:30:11."
Dark-Dancer slaps a hand onto his watch.
Near the Pool, Toxic crosses her arms, reciting clearly, ~Do not suffer thy people to tend thy sickness in death.~
On the northern curve, Thoth emerges from the thin treeline to the north.
Astram eyes Stormcrow and Dark-Dancer sternly.
Stormcrow returns his attention to Toxic.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn's mouth droops into a frown.
Quiet shifts, flattening her ears slightly.
Bloodfang's eyes gleam with pain briefly, then with resolve. The whole is greater than the one.
Chaser bares teeth in a faint snarl.
Rowan stares at Flying Bear's hump for a moment, then looks away.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "No fucking gratitude. You work all your life, you fight for the Garou, an' when you get old, they ask you to go an' off yourself. You think a little tolerance might be a good thing, but no."
Cindi nods, her eyes shadowing at a memory.
Bloodfang growls. Rather you would have an Old One here who attacks his own people on a whim?
Spooner's red eyes flick towards Erik for a moment.
Flying Bear rants, yes.
Inya growls. This is the same person who said not to care just cause they were older a bit ago?
Flying Bear ~The old get Harano. Harano is of the Wyrm. Best to stop it where it grows.~
Actaeon growls. ~An honorable life should have an honorable end.~
Storm Dancer snorts at Velasquez. Stupid. Really stupid.
Chaser glares at Velasquez. ~And when that tolerance brings harm to the rest of the Sept?~
Archer hrrfs. Better to die with your jaws clamped around the neck of the foe.
Stormcrow growls, ~We are at war. To burden your kin with your infirmity is paramount to treason. They have burdens enough as it is.~
On the northern curve, Thoth folds his arms, and watches.
Erik says "Harano can be recovered from. As can sickness. Some are too quick to invoke this rule to achieve political ends. Gaia will claim her own when she is ready."
Anpwhotep nods to Erik.
Dark-Dancer flexes the remainder of his arm, but remains silent.
Anpwhotep whispers "Oh dear. Then we must be extra careful"
You whisper "~Believe me, I am.~" to Anpwhotep.
Flying Bear ~You can't cure old age, Erik.~
Bloodfang glowers at Erik briefly, but not for as long as one might expect.
Fisher-King gestures to Toxic. ~Gaia has told us when she wants her own claimed. Must she do everything for herself?~
Cindi sighs, ~But triage is wasteful.~
Erik says "No, Flying-Bear-Rhya. But this rule is often invoked to cover sickness or injury. It is... subject to abuse."
Anpwhotep whispers "And I'll do my best to help."
Grey Eyes stretches forth his withered forpaw and glares around the circle.
Luna's Arrow flicks an ear. ~That is not the fault of the Litany, that is the fault of Garou who would abuse it.~
Dark-Dancer nods. ~How great must the sickness be for this law to be invoked?~
Chaser snorts and mutters, ~Subject to abuse when idiots violate it.~
Flying Bear ~Look at all the money the homids waste on unproductive old farts. You'd rather we crippled ourselves like that?~
Oaken snorts a little at Erik. "If it was expanded to cover brain-death, you could wipe out a quarter of the Caern."
Rowan nods approvingly to Flying Bear.
Erik says "And yet would I try to heal them, Oaken."
Anpwhotep snorts at Oaken's words. ~Only a quarter?~
Stormcrow nods in agreement with his pack.
Storm Dancer shivers a bit and nods to Flying Bear.
Astram flicks an ear at Toxic.
Near the Pool, Toxic looks at Bloodfang and nods slightly in recognition. She waits for the shouting to fade slightly, then holds up her hand and calls out clearly, ~A leader may be challenged in time of peace. The leader shall -NOT- be challenged in a time of declared war.~ She looks around then adds briefly, ~As the time we are now in.
Rowan looks at Erik oddly. "Some things just can't be cured."
Quiet shifts, her ears still flat, but says nothing. She licks her nose and stills again.
Oaken smiles at Erik. ~That's why we love you, bub.~
Horatio shakes his ruff slightly and regards the various speakers with bright green eyes.
Nightmare watches the pool, eyes glinting with controlled impatience.
Calypso watches peoples responses most carefully.
Lyta nods to Toxic equably.
Erik chuckles. 'Bub'.
Rowan blinks at Toxic, then nods slowly.
Hecate drops her eyes to the ground, though tension plays through the line of her jaw.
Flying Bear ~We've been at war since the Impergium was revoked.~
On the northern curve, Thoth heads into the center.
Thoth has arrived.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez says "Great call! You gettin' absolutely screwed and everyone's dyin' cuz of some idiot leader, an' you gotta wait for the end of everything to take him down! What kinda stupid rule is that?"
Bloodfang nods at Flying Bear.
Astram rumbles softly to Thoth.
Thoth moves from the shadows to stand beside and behind Astram. He says nothing.
Stormcrow growls, ~If you have a problem with your Alpha, it is your own foolishness to blame if you do not challenge him before it comes to that.~
Storm growls softly An idiot leader will get herself killed soon enough. Better than stabbing a good one in the back...
Dark-Dancer says ~Always we are at war with the Wyrm. If we follow this law to the letter, even the most incompetent of leaders shall never be challenged.~
Lyta glances at Velasquez. ~One that protects all of us, one that keeps the Garou from rending themselves from within.~
Maury tilts her head questioningly at Toxic, then turns her head towards the Sept-at-large.
Storm Dancer turns and looks at Toxic. Her eyes sparkle as she recalls something.
Bloodfang glowers at Dark-Dancer. A criminal would speak against the Litany when not the Fool. Your opinion is as nothing on this.
MoonMist lies down next to Jon.
Flying Bear nods in agreement with Bloodfang, despite his earlier words.
Dark-Dancer looks at Bloodfang, then lowers his eyes.
Breaker smiles a bit. Martial law. Gotta love it.
Bloodfang's upper lip twitches once, and he looks back to Toxic, waiting.
Calypso senses "Sepdet studying you for a moment, her eyes thoughtful, but respectful. She watches all carefully, and has noticed you doing the same."
Cindi frowns, ~I see only disunity. And us falling. One by one. Alone.~
Flying Bear ~I see a bunch of fools afraid to join packs.~
Near the Pool, Toxic growls bitterly, recent images of destruction in her mind, ~You shall take no action, nor allow such action as will cause a Caern to be violated.~
Fisher-King looks down.
Bloodfang looks toward Velasquez.
Oaken folds his arms, looking grim.
Dark-Dancer says ~I will be impressed if the Fool comes up with a good argument against this Law.~
Nightmare's eyes close, and he fights a reflexive glance to a distant but too near point to the southwest.
Actaeon eyes Dark-Dancer balefully. ~Your opinion is of no import.~
You sense Calypso looks at you and gived a small smile.
Maury nudges Nightmare comfortingly.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez mutters, "More advice for Two Lakes..." Louder, "Nor allow such action? Period? We're not all-knowing, if one guy fucks up you can't blame everyone, although I know there are people that would like to. Some stuff you just can't control."
MoonMist wolfsighs.
Jon Nomad shudders a bit before regaining his mask-like composure.
Echen, half intent on the Garou near him, turns and nudges Nightmare once, and then gives an approving nod.
MoonMist contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Grey Eyes looks at Cindi and nods.
MoonMist shifts into Homid form.
Storm Dancer leans soothingly agaisnt Jon.
Bloodfang growls low in his throat. And when you fail to try, you are at fault as much as the one who does so.
Dark-Dancer looks over at Actaeon. ~I have said nothing against this law. I merely stated that I would be impressed with the Fool's imagination if he could make a good attempt at refuting this part of the Litany.~
Storm slips off into the shadows to go hunting or maybe just run! HUGS (OOC).
Stormcrow snarls, ~Vigilance, fool. Gaia did not give you the Wolf's senses for nothing.~
Flying Bear ~The Caern shall not be violated. Those who fail in their duties are treasonous fools.~
Dark-Dancer nods, agreeing with the Ahroun for once.
Grey Eyes wonders when our Caern shall have its Gaurdians.
Adrian's eyes narrow.
Actaeon rumbles softly. ~Soon.~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks at Actaeon and nods almost imperceptibly at his statement.
On the southern curve, Whitestreak comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Whitestreak heads into the center.
Whitestreak has arrived.
Calypso slowly turns to regard the recently mended treeline.
Quiet whuffs at Whitestreak, moving over slightly to make room.
Rowan glances at Flying Bear, looking mildly concerned.
Whitestreak pants heavily as he runs up from the south, coming to a controlled halt in the group.
Oaken looks over at Anubis, remembering something.
Dark-Dancer looks over at the newly-arriving wolf.
Astram nods to Toxic and Velasquez, gratefully. He turns to regard Thorn.
Near the Pool, Toxic exhales heavily and moves to the center of the Caern.
Near the Pool, Toxic heads into the center.
Toxic has arrived.
Stormcrow turns to watch Thorn.
Lara-Anne smiles at Toxic.
Bloodfang turns as well, to look toward the Fire Pit.
Maury glances over at Thorn, too.
Toxic moves to stand by her packmates.
White Veils shakes the falling snow out of her fur and looks over at Toxic.
Hecate lifts her head slightly and chuffs softly at Toxic, eyes bright and a small smile on her lips.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn takes a step forward and eyes the gathered Garou. ~The time is upon us to meet with the Spirits who hold this place in our Care. We must open the Inner Sky and welcome both Buffalo and Magpie to our Moot.~
Nightmare looks over at Thorn. He is silent, but his posture says 'finally.'
Grey Eyes closes his eyes and begins to take slow deep breaths.
Adrian's body tenses, eyes and ears intent upon her pupil.
Stormcrow nods approvingly.
Actaeon turns slightly and regards Thorn intently.
Bloodfang's posture is quietly reverent, an odd expression for those who do not know him well.
Inya sits back, eyes bright and ready.
Flying Bear turns with a disdainful sneer away from Cindi and watches Thorn.
Archer crouches softly.
Oaken cocks both ears, expectantly.
Brandi looks over, suddenly more attentive.
Lara-Anne turns her full attention to Thorn.
Cindi watches, her eyes bright. She inhales softly and then allows herself to relax.
Echen noses Kevin once and cocks his head towards Thorn, eyes glinting with amusement.
Horatio rises from his lazy seat and turns to watch thorn.
Whitestreak's breathing grows more rhythmic as he watches Thorn: in for 4 seconds, hold for 2, out for 4 seconds, hold for 2.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn clenches his hands. ~Together we will sing out our invitation, first to Buffalo, then to Magpie.~
Sepdet steps slightly away from her 'Uncle', and relaxes for the first time since she came to the Caern.
Those Lupus near to Calypso hear hersing softly to herself before fixing her eyes on Thorn.
Stormcrow's ears twitch.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez looks on from his position, watching the actions of those assembled.
Kevin Callahan watches Thorn, with a small nod to Echen.
l Thoth
Tall and gaunt and mysteriously graceful, like one of Tolkien's elves or an incarnation of David Bowie, though perhaps not as pretty. His face is impossibly narrow and drawn, the sharp length of his nose drawing the distance from his black, glittering eyes which seem to be all iris to the thin bow of his mouth. His skin is dusty tan, his hair black and long and unkempt.
Toxic keeps her eyes focussed on Thorn.
Calypso has disconnected.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn raises his arms to the sky, the markings on his skin glinting eerily in the firelight. His voice raises into a bellowing howl that can be understood as the tongue of Garou, ~Buffalo. Your strength helps us combat the Wyrm, come to us and share in our Moot!~ He tilts his head back and howls, eyes focusing on the Moon.
Thoth stands behind and to the right of Astram, arms folded, and stares straight ahead at nothing.
Stormcrow's muzzle rises toward the Moon, a deep howl rumbling forth.
White Veils turns her head to rub her ear against her shoulder.
Chaser tilts her muzzle to the sky and joins her voice to Thorn's in a yipping, triumphant howl.
Breaker joins in, knowing that this portion is Serious Stuff.
Inya adds her voice to the rest, high and sharp.
Actaeon's chest expands with a deep breath, as he adds an especially heart-felt howl to the deep roar of voices.
Flying Bear joins in.
Lara-Anne adds her voice to the others, softly.
Luna's Arrow adds her howl to the rest.
Kevin Callahan adds his low rumbling howl to the chorus.
Oaken tilts his head eagerly, in a long, resonant call.
Cindi voices, adding her note to the song and letting it blend to the chorus.
Astram adds his own voice smoothly to the chorus.
Bloodfang opens his mouth. What emerges is not a howl, but the whuffling grunts of a much larger mammal.
Quiet howls, a strange shivering sliverness beneath the rough tone.
Whitestreak adds his own light tenor voice to the cacophany of wolves.
Lyta looks around, and then adds her pure, ringing voice to the rest.
Nightmare howls, deep and resonant.
Toxic's voice lifts among the others, joy and sadness both tinging its edges.
Sepdet touches the sheath of the flint knife at her side as she adds her high keening voice to the song.
Spooner's howl joins the othters rising in the night.
Adrian joins the howl, a delighted and triumphant note in her challenge.
Dark-Dancer's low, mournful howl is almost lost in the great chorus.
Fisher-King joins in softly.
Echen's voice lifts in a howl, pure and resonant.
Windrunner joins in.
Jon Nomad adds a soft howl to the chorus, tired, with notes of determination.
Thoth howls, roughly.
White Veils tilts her head back.
Broken Claw howls loudly and deeply.
Horatio adds his voice to the music, interweaving it into the call.
Anpwhotep lets his voice loose, clear and musical
Hecate narrows her eyes slightly, tosses back her head, and howls gruffly.
Maury howls, again quietly.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn lowers his eyes, but not his voice. He focuses on a point above the Table Stone at the Center of the Caern, and strides towards it. His howl ululates rhythmically, almost like a chant. ~Buffalo.~
Aaron lifts his voice in a majestic howl.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn heads into the center.
Thorn has arrived.
Bloodfang turns as Thorn passes him to look at the Table Stone.
Stormcrow's howl shifts matching with Thorns chanting ululation.
Thorn strides towards the Table Stone and holds his outstretched hands above it. The air begins to shimmer as the howls start to harmonize.
Cindi moves to watch Thorn, a quirky smile flashing across her muzzle.
Breaker's voice follows Thorn's, matching in tone and rhythm
Archer 's call melds to the timbre.
Near the Fire Pit, Ali heads into the center.
Ali has arrived.
A tremendous sub-sonic rumble begins to make its presence known as the Garou howl coalesces.
Lara-Anne smiles softly at Ali, even as her voice continues its chorus with the others.
Thorn's howl deepens to a gutteral roar.
Jon Nomad howls, his voice growing in strength, his eyes shining in something other than despair. This is the power that matters.
Bloodfang's odd whuffling continues, an undercurrent beneath the mass howl.
Stormcrow's howl shifts again with thorn's as though tied to it.
Actaeon's neck tenses, corded tendons standing out in relief as he pushes his voice out, low and deep, in honor of Buffalo.
Ali joins in, caught up in the surging emotion, howling with the others.
Quiet's voice drops to a low rumble, though still strangely undercut by a shivering harmony.
Oaken finds Thorn's note and harmonizes, creating a low, powerful chord.
Breaker shifts, his call changing with it, yet never breaking cadence with Thorn
Cindi watches Thorn intently, her voice dropping timbre abruptly with the chant. She raises her muzzle and puts her soul into the song.
A dark form begins to take shape in the air above the Table Stone, and the rumbling seems to be coming from it. Dark brown eyes glitter faintly, backlit by stars and the light of Luna.
Breaker contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Breaker shifts into Crinos form.
White Veils whimpers slightly, unheard in the blast of sound.
Spooner adds to the pure noise with her howl.
Flying Bear's bass rumble finally starts to increase in volume as Buffalo appears.
Nightmare's howl falters very slightly, glittering eyes wide and on the air above the table stone.
Maury's ears start to go down against her head; her howl stops.
Stormcrow's eyes flash as the spirit begins to manifest.
Anpwhotep's voice shifts to follow the chorus, still clear and musical
Kevin Callahan watches, his eyes full of interest; his low howl continues.
Lara-Anne bows her head slightly in respect to Buffalo.
Echen's voice travels up and down the spectrum of sound, a dynamic note amongst the bass rumble. He pauses only a moment, to draw breath and to nudge Maury with his hindquarters.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez blinks and stares at the form in the center.
Thorn's howl shifts as Buffalo stands above the assembled Garou. Thorn calls, ~Magpie, we need your cunning and wits.~ His voice rises into a high-pitched cry.
Stormcrow yips twice, his howl rising into the night air, high and keening.
Erik's hand goes to his chest as the call to magpie starts, fingering something under his shirt
Whitestreak's howl climbs up the scale, resting a note and a half above Thorn's.
Bloodfang's undercurrent of whuffling shifts, becoming a birdcall that floats over the top of the howls.
Wind buffets the assemblage, and a flurry of wings echoes throughout the clearing.
Toxic matches her voice to Thorn's own as best she can.
Ali watches, eyes slitted, intent; her hackles rise, as does her 'voice'.
Aaron's howl rises past tenor to alto.
Archer sings the high tone, not unlike a tautly plucked bowstring.
Oaken gasps for breath. "Damn flour!" Then he recovers and, sucking breath, heads for the higher register.
Sepdet's soft howl has shifted by degrees to a deep, strong tenor totally alien to her, but now regains some of her usual shimmering soprano.
The glossy feathers of the Magpie reflect the light of the fire and the Moon, even as her presence reflects the power of the assembled Garou.
Kevin Callahan leans back, and shifts his tone to the higher ranges.
Cindi sees the spirit take form. She raises her muzzle, voice rising with Thorn's in a cry of greeting and triumph.
Storm Dancer's howl slides up the scale while her eyes fix on Magpie.
Thorn's howl cuts off and he lowers his head in reverence to the Spirits.
Actaeon stretches his neck and aims for a higher note, and misses rather painfully. He settles on a middle-ranged note.
Actaeon blinks and quickly cuts off into silence.
Bloodfang cuts off as Thorn does.
Breaker likewise adopts a posture of respect
Flying Bear quiets.
Lara-Anne bows her head again in respect to Magpie.
Aaron shuts up.
Oaken lowers his head and bows a little from the waist, staring.
Kevin Callahan bows his head, his voice quiet.
Stormcrow's howl dies abruptly, his head lowered in respect.
Cindi dips her head, her voice still.
Echen's howl travels up the scale of sound again, finally resolving as a clear and sharp tenor note, cut off quickly and fading into silence.
Sepdet's voice fades softly.
Maury blinks at the spirits, then at Echen, and stays silent, though her ears come back up.
Jon Nomad's voice cuts off. Those immediately near to him may hear the words ~...I shall not fall...~ a soft promise to the power of the caern.
Bloodfang watches the Totems quietly.
Broken Claw silences his howl suddenly and looks up to the spirits.
Luna's Arrow nods to the spirits.
Toxic lowers her muzzle, watching the spirits in some awe.
Inya drops her head and closes her eyes, the howl dying in her throat.
Lyta's gaze focuses on Thorn, and a light of respect appears in her eyes. She looks at the spirits for a moment in admiration, then drops her muzzle respectfully.
Ali pauses with the others, all at once, though the fur is still high on her neck.
Nightmare's howl cuts off with the others. He lowers his head, fights the urge to back away, eyes fixed on the spirits.
Storm Dancer nuzzles Jon softly and encouraginly. Then she turns back to the spirits and her eyes are bright with curiousity.
Whitestreak drops his head to the ground in honour of the spirits, raising it again as he stares in frank curiosity.
Astram nods respectfully to the spirits, and then to Thorn.
Adrian relaxes, almost infinitesmally, as it is done.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's dark eyes watch the spectacle.
Cindi basks in the presence of the spirits, her eyes drinking in what Thorn has wrought with his people.
Hecate drops her eyes; after a long moment she glances over to Lyta.
Quiet's voice drops in volume, though the rumble still vibrates her throat, all but unheard. She bows her head in respect, then raising her eyes to look straightforwardly at the resting Totems.
Sepdet bows her head but raises her arms for a moment in the manner of her mother's people.
Astram turns his dark eyes to regard Anubis, on the earthen mound.
The two Spirits eye the crowd, meeting gazes challengingly. They then fade to mere flickerings in the air as they take their places in the Shadow and prepare to watch the rest of the gathering.
Rowan quickly sheds jacket and boots, shoving them into a small bag.
Stormcrow raises his eyes to watch the Keeper of the Ways.
Rowan contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Victoria shifts into Lupus form.
Thorn lifts his head, then turns to walk back to his place at the Fire Pit.
Thorn heads northeast to the fire pit.
Thorn has left.
Oaken shakes himself and remembers to breathe again; he looks at Thorn with respect and a little awe.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods to Thorn and Astram, and stands.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis shifts into Crinos form.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn turns to regard Anubis, his eyes still shining.
Chaser's eyes follow Thorn as he returns to the Fire Pit; the intent gaze glints with pride, and remains full of warm admiration as she turns to look at Anubis.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis stands high above the crowd atop the Earth Mound, and holds aloft a bone. ~In the traditional way, we shall now reach to the business of this moot.~ His hand tenses, and the bone snaps in half.
White Veils shakes herself vigourously, throwing snow into the air in all directions.
Whitestreak turns to watch his other friend upon the Earth Mound, his eyes filled with inquisitive admiration.
Dark-Dancer watches Anubis.
Spooner nods slightly.
Lyta's ears flick forward attentively, and she glances around before turning her eyes to the Truthcatcher.
Luna's Arrow tenses slightly at the breaking of the bone.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis takes one half in either hand and regards the crowd. ~First is ordered appointments of Offices. As you all know, many have changed. Tonight, they receive their due appointment.~
Cindi 's ears twitch at the 'snap'. She looks about and then returns her gaze to Anubus. Surprizes tonight, yes.
Flying Bear's lip curls into a sneer as Anubis begins to speak.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks out over the crowd. ~When Horus-rhya went after Aspen-rhya, he appointed the heads of the offices. Adrian-rhya of the Black Furies, you are the new Warder of the Caern of the Wheel Renewed. Stand and name your officers.~
Whitestreak blinks and turns to look at Adrian.
Adrian rises to her feet, her voice low and carrying. ~I name, first of all, our Master of the Challenge, Batrana Dracul.~
Lara-Anne glances at Adrian.
Victoria watches Adrian with interest, listening carefully.
Storm Dancer cringes. Do you have to wake up up? Please?
Flying Bear makes a sour face at Adrian's mention.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn dips his head respectfully to the elder Shadow Lord.
Lyta turns her eyes to Adrian with a warm glimmer of pride.
Adrian continues, her voice audible to the treeline. ~ Our Master of the Rite, Thorn-Slowly-Wins. Our Gatekeeper, Stormcrow. ~
Actaeon scans said treeline with frequent glances.
Ali regards each in turn with heightened interest, paws tucked close to her body.
Flying Bear grins at Stormcrow.
Maury listens tensely, pressed quietly against Echen.
Stormcrow nods silently in acceptance.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn bares a few teeth as his name is mentioned.
Fisher-King nods silently at the choices.
Cindi listens, giving Thorn a small grin.
Victoria raises her head to stare up at Stormcrow proudly.
Adrian pauses, now, and scans the crowd. ~ As you know, Thorn was previously our Groundskeeper, and now we must choose another to maintain the Caern. ~
Lara-Anne smiles somewhat.
Near the Fire Pit, Catherine contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Whitestreak nods at Stormcrow, his eyes glinting amusedly.
Inya gives her tribe's elder a respectful nod.
Near the Fire Pit, Catherine shifts into Lupus form.
Stormcrow glances at his pacxkmates, a glint of pride in his eyes.
Adrian says ~ For the assistance he has already given Thorn in this work, we would choose Oaken. Oaken? Will you accept the burden? ~
Oaken blinks in shock! He looks at THorn questioningly, then bows his head.
White Veils flicks her ears at Oaken.
Toxic grins quickly in Oaken's direction.
Echen's eyes gleam with pride; he pricks his ears forwards towards Oaken encouragingly.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn dips his muzzle at Oaken, his eyes glittering.
Cindi grins, flicking an ear at Oaken.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's mouth twitches ever so slightly at Oaken's reaction.
Near the Fire Pit, Gentle Touches heads into the center.
Gentle Touches has arrived.
Adrian dips her muzzle approvingly. ~ It is done. May all proceed in accordance with the will of Gaia. ~ She returns her gaze to the Truthcatcher.
Lara-Anne grins at Oaken.
Ali's eyes sharpen, hearing her cubpackmate's name, and her tufted ears slant forward.
Oaken says "You honor me, Elders. I will do all I can to maintain this place, and keep the land something to make the spirits want to come to.~"
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez grins at Oaken.
Flying Bear ~Heh.~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods at Adrian. ~Horus-rhya also resigned the position of Sept Alpha. Now in his place shall stand Astram-rhya, Arjun Fletcher of the Glass Walkers. Alpha, please stand and name your officers.~
Flying Bear's lip twists again.
Astram raises himself to all fours and rumbles, ~As Claw, we keep Banestriker. Returned succesful from his challenge, he is more prepared than ever.~
Stormcrow turns his attention to Astram.
Banestriker nods proudly.
Hecate scowls somewhat, but keeps her eyes lowered.
Bloodfang nods, after a slight hesitation, at this.
Luna's Arrow rumbles softly to Hecate.
Astram continues, his voice deeply rumbling, ~Toxic will be my Singer of Tales, as you, Anubis, are my Way Keeper.~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis inclines his head respectfully to the Alpha.
Astram flicks an ear and regards Thorn. ~Adrian-yuf has named Thorn to Master of the Rite, traditionally a dual position, and it is well with me. So Thorn is my First among Theurges as well.~
Toxic dips muzzle and tail respectfully.
Storm Dancer regards Astram thoughfull with her head cocked to one side.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn nods, once again.
Breaker grins. Go Thorn Go.
Flying Bear nods in agreement. A Silver Fang.
Astram turns to regard Chaser and Banestriker. ~Has this one completed her rite, Banestriker?~
Lara-Anne flashes a smile of respect and gladness at Thorn.
Cindi laughs softly, glad for Thorn.
Banestriker nods. "She has, and well."
Toxic's ears lift in wonder and she looks happily at Kate.
Maury turns her head towards Banestriker with intense interest, and a quiet whuff of pleasure.
Erik smiles a bit. Class of '94.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks over toward Kate, his features smiling in wolf-fashion.
Chaser tosses her head back, and meets Astram's eyes.
Echen's eyes sparkle as he watches Kate, a quiet smile playing across his muzzle.
Adrian swivels her ears thoughtfully, approving.
Whitestreak rolls his eyes as he looks at Chaser, but keep his mouth shut.
Breaker grins. Eater-Of-Trains.
Astram stares at Chaser steadily for a moment. ~Then this Chaser, of the Get, shall be Shadow Walker, and first among fools.~
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn's eyes light with pride.
Flying Bear ~...fer fuckin sure...
Stormcrow chuffs quietly.
Bloodfang nods quietly at Chaser.
Toxic gives a soft, happy yip.
Quiet's ears swivel and she gives a surprised, pleased, bark.
Victoria looks carefully at the ground.
Oaken grins. About time.
Astram rumbles amusedly. ~This is my court, truthcatcher.~
Actaeon shifts slightly.
Chaser's nose wrinkles, and she bares sharp white teeth in a grin. She simply nods, glancing amusedly at Flying Bear before returning her gaze to Astram.
Astram settles back on his haunches.
White Veils wuffs at Toxic during the brief pause.
Whitestreak has disconnected.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods. ~So witnessed, the new officers of Sept and Caern are installed. May they act in their duties with Honor. Next is set the challenges. We will not have them enacted here, but at a later time. But the Moot is the correct time for the challenges to be heard.~

+mail Gentle Touches=small hello
-I note you and Sepdet share much in common... though she is still a cub. (Not for much longer, with any luck.) Does Catharine have a pack? My little one is eager to prove her worth to caern and join a pack, but the only offer so far, from Velasquez, was to a group with whom she shares little in common beyond a desire to combat Malfeas.
-.............................. Blessed be, Ellen/Sepdet

Breaker sits up, a nervous grin on his face
On the Earth Mound, Anubis flicks an ear. ~In the absence of the Master of the Challenge, I shall announce those who are attempting.~
Echen perks up a bit, something akin to nervousness lurking behind emerald-green eyes.
Oaken grins over at Echen.
Astram watches Anubis attentively.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks off to one side. ~Velasquez of the Bone Gnawers. Stand and make your challenge.~
Cindi grins at Breaker and Echen, sic 'em.
Fisher-King raises an eyebrow, surprised.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez stands.
Oaken 's ears go up like exclamation points!
Stormcrow blinks, listening.
Ali slants a pleased look Velasquez' direction. Yet another.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez looks toward the center. "I hereby challenge Fisher-King." He smiles. "Nothin' against you, man."
Lara-Anne looks from Fisher-King back to Velasquez, and grins a bit.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks at Fisher-King. ~Do you accept?~
Fisher-King nods to Anubis, smiling ferally. ~I will meet his Challenge two days hence, in the view of the Sept.~
Grey Eyes has connected.
Astram edgew towards White Veils silently.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods. ~And will you reveal the nature of the challenge at this time, or no?~
Near the Fire Pit, Nimble heads into the center.
Nimble has arrived.
Fisher-King looks at Velasquez again.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez looks at Fisher-King, waiting.
White Veils shifts from side to side in the tramples snow.
Calypso has connected.
Nimble nods to all that she knows.
Actaeon rumbles to Nimble, cheerfully.
Fisher-King grins wolfishly. ~I think I will let it be a surprise.~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods, and looks around the crowd again. ~Broken Claw of the Red Talons.~
Victoria glances at Nimble curiously.
Batrana Dracul has arrived.
On the northern curve, Hand-of-Gaia emerges from the thin treeline to the north.
On the northern curve, Hand-of-Gaia heads into the center.
Hand-of-Gaia has arrived.
Hand-of-Gaia pads in quietly.
Hand-of-Gaia pads over to Broken Claw and settles down next to him.
Lara-Anne nods respectfully to Hand-of-Gaia.
Archer nods respectfully to Batrana Dracul.
Erik nods a deferential greeting to the two Elders
Broken Claw steps forward, looking confident except for his rapidly twitching ears. His speech contains none of its usual simplicity and errors. ~Before this Sept, I seek to challenge Fangs-Running-Blood-rhya, Alpha and Elder of my Tribe.~
Toxic smiles at Batrana.
Batrana Dracul floats in from beyond the treeline.
Lara-Anne nods respectfully to Batrana as she enters.
Hand-of-Gaia looks a bit uplifted. I came in at the perfect time.
From afar, Nimble grins.. oh.. okie..
Storm Dancer glances at Batrana and shrinks back against Jon.
White Veils's eyes flash up to Batrana with a little fear, then turn back to the alpha.
Oaken whistles softly; hard to do in Crinos.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn shifts into Homid form.
Cindi looks up at Batranna and lols her tongu in greeting.
Near the Fire Pit, A brief crunching sound comes from Thorn-Slowly-Wins, and in a flash, he stands before you in homid form.
Batrana Dracul looks around, very very disgruntled.
Anpwhotep watches Batrana quietly.
Bloodfang stands and looks over Broken Claw. He turns to Anubis. ~I accept the challenge -- for Rank, but not Dominance.~
Astram nods to Dracul-rhya.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods. ~And the nature of the Challenge?~
Broken Claw nods respectfully to Bloodfang. ~For Rank only, Alpha.~
Batrana Dracul floats over toward Anubis, making stomping motions in the air.
Batrana Dracul heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Batrana Dracul has left.
Bloodfang looks at Broken Claw for a long moment. His eyes reflect an amused look of mischief that almost no one here has seen before. ~Combat...~
Chaser snorts in amusement and mutters something under her breath. It might be ~... no shit ...~
Bloodfang sits, and tosses his head. ~Weaponless. Homid form.~
Toxic yips in laughter.
Chaser does a very comical double take at Bloodfang.
Maury whuffs startledly.
Actaeon rumbles approvingly.
Flying Bear tries not to guffaw.
Hand-of-Gaia smirks a bit.
Storm Dancer giggles.
Inya grins wolfishly. This must be seen.
Cindi yaffles in amusment.
Broken Claw's eyes widen with absolute shock as his head snaps around to face Bloodfang. His jaw twitches but no words come.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods briefly to Batrana, and then blinks at Bloodfang.
Oaken blinks. ~We might only need FOUR healers. Who'd a thought...~
White Veils shifts nervously, nailed by Astram.
Nimble tilts her head, an ear floping to one side as she grins quite ferally.
Quiet's eyes widen, and she looks away from the mound to quirk one heavy eyebrow at Bloodfang.
Dark-Dancer blinks in surprise, but then nods approvingly.
Storm Dancer continues to whuffles softly. Oh I've gotta see this one.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul floats up the mound until she reaches Anubis. Putting her hands on her hips, she glares balefully about.
Cindi smirks, ten rounds, no gloves.
Spooner looks amused by the Caern's reaction.
Anpwhotep laughs...
Ali quiets as Batrana Dracul's stare sweeps the area.
Flying Bear watches the Dragon.
Archer wonders who took Bloodfang to the Jackie Chan movie fest.
Oaken looks with concern from White Veils to Astram.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's features can't help but smirk a bit, and he nods. ~So be it. Mistress of the Rite, the challenges of Bloodfang and Fisher-King have been accepted. The rest are yours to announce.~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis inclines his head to Dracul.
Storm Dancer licks Fisher-King's ear and chuffs at him.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul snorts at Anubis, ~I am Mistress of the *Challenge, whelp.~
White Veils exhales, her breath frosty in the cold air.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis doesn't react at all, merely waits for Dracul to announce the next challenge.
Broken Claw turns his head away from Bloodfang finally, the shocked expression fading as he recovers. He nods offhandedly to Hand-of-Gaia.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul crosses her arms and stares out at the assemblage. She calls forth, "Breaker, come forth."
Hand-of-Gaia rumbles at BC
Bloodfang continues to look amused, and turns to watch the Mound.
Breaker stands quickly
Cindi grins. Go Breaker Go.
Breaker heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Breaker has left.
Echen contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
On the Earth Mound, Breaker front-and-centers, his usual cockiness under control
Echen shifts into Homid form.
Quiet OOC runs away to RL as her character continues to glance at Actaeon occasionally, but remains silent for the rest of the Moot.
Quiet has disconnected.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul eyes Breaker in measurement, "Declare your Challenge. I haven't got all day."
On the Earth Mound, Breaker grins toothily a bit. "I am Sound-of-Breaking-Glass, Theurge to the Glass-Walkers. I challenge Toxic-rhya, also of the Glass-walkers."
Toxic hmmmns and takes a small notebook out of the inside of her trenchcoat. She flips a few pages, shakes her head, stares intently at Breaker for several minutes, then sighs softly, ~Oh, I suppose I -could- pencil you in.~ She smirks. ~Accepted, Switch-Thrower. Two days hence.~
White Veils sags slightly with relief, and shakes her head.
Bloodfang looks quietly between Breaker and Toxic.
On the Earth Mound, Breaker grins at Toxic, then returns to the crowd. Batrana-rhya doesn't have all day...
Anpwhotep giggles at Toxic, grinning...
On the Earth Mound, Breaker heads into the center.
Breaker has arrived.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks from one Glass Walker to another, unsurprised.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul gives Toxic a grumpy glare. ~Want to give a description of the Challenge, or do we all get to be surprised in two days?~
Breaker rubs hairy hands together in anticipation
Ali's ears tilt at odd angles, not sure that she ought to be amused, but amused all the same.
Toxic bounces gleefully on her toes, smiling at ~I'm sorry, Grandmother-rhya, but I'm afraid that information izzonna need-t'know basis.~
Storm Dancer licks her nose. Toxic won't be able to compete with Bloodfang's challenge.
Flying Bear snorts.
Lara-Anne suppresses a grin.
Breaker *pout* *grump* *grin*
Cindi thinks that it'd be hard to top Bloodfang's little joke.
Bloodfang looks oddly smug.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul just snorts and moves on. She barks out, "Echen, come forth."
Archer hrf. Oddly?
Hand-of-Gaia looks to Broken Claw. Come here.
Echen rises quickly and steps over towards the earth mound.
Fisher-King's ears perk forward.
Echen heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Echen has left.
Lara-Anne smiles at Echen.
Windrunner smiles.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul waves her hand at the assemblage. "Well, be quick about it."
Anpwhotep has disconnected.
Anpwhotep senses "Sepdet chuckles softly. ~This one wonders most who would Challenge the Mistress of Challenges. What a grand old bitch!~"
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul says her words to Echen.
Broken Claw turns and pads over to Hand-of-Gaia. Yes, Hand-of-Gaia-rhya?
Cindi has connected.
Hand-of-Gaia leans over and talks to BC in hushed tones.
White Veils noses a piece of glass that fell out of Astram's mane.
On the Earth Mound, Echen nods to Batrana and clears his throat slightly, turning to narrow his eyes thoughtfully over at the fire pit. ~To be Fianna is to live one's life by story and song.~ A slow slime creeps across his face as he goes on. ~And so I, Echen Mac Conaill, do challenge Thorn-Slowly-Wins, and leave it to his wisdom to determine whether this humble poet is ready to learn more.~
Ali tries to surreptitiously stretch one foreleg that's threatening to cramp due to being in this position for so long.
Hand-of-Gaia nods to Broken Claw.
Cindi has disconnected.
On the Earth Mound, Echen er, smile.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's features smile slightly as he looks from Echen to Thorn and back.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez LOL (ooc) and watches the slime crawl...
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn smiles and nods. ~I accept, Echen of the Fianna. Your Wisdom will be tested Echen. Be prepared to ask many questions.~
Fisher-King coughs softly, covering a lupine chuckle.
Astram stretches and ambles over to Archer's side.
On the Earth Mound, Echen nods slowly over at the fire pit, and dips his head respectfully to Batrana and Anubis, stepping lightly back to the center.
Thoth follows Astram.
On the Earth Mound, Echen heads into the center.
Echen has arrived.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn nods at Batrana, ~And the exact nature of what will be questioned shall be left to the day, two from now.~
Archer bares his in a good-natured grin.
Maury whuffs at Echen happily.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks next to him and down slightly at Batrana.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul nods to Thorn before calling forth the last challenge of the evening. "Astram, come forth. And let me say that is it about time."
White Veils settles down on her haunches.
Echen crouches back down by Maury, trembling hands running through the fur of the back of her neck.
Hand-of-Gaia looks over at Breaker. Do me proud, in your challenge, student.
Bloodfang looks over at the new Sept Alpha.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks out at Astram, now that the final challenge has been announced.
Breaker grins at Brandon. ~Count on it.~
Astram rises to all fours and rumbles, wryly, ~I challenge you, Grandmother, for rank.~
Maury presses against Echen, and whuffs startledly at the last challenge.
Dark-Dancer coughs, startled.
Storm Dancer hacks softly. Oh wow.
Toxic looks amusedly between Breaker and Brandon. ~Been sharpening his teeth for him, Deuce?~
Ali's ears careen sharply forward to listen.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul does not even look surprised. "Good, you have some sense as I am the only Rank 4 available."
Victoria looks unsurprised.
Breaker *grin* *gleam*
Hand-of-Gaia ~His teeth are plenty sharp...I merely showed him how to use them better.~
Luna's Arrow glances at Lyta and her mouth twitches a bit.
Stormcrow snorts.
Toxic nods sagely. ~Yes. Chew first, -then- swallow.~
Sepdet cannot quite hide the small satisfied grin.
Astram ducks his head and rumbles. ~You are more than the obvious choice, yes, Dracul-rhya.~
Nimble has connected.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis watches Astram and Dracul, ignoring the peanut gallery.
Lara-Anne arches an eyebrow and grins.
Breaker gives Astram a furry thumbs-up. =:)
White Veils's eyes close.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul reaches to her side and pulls forth a bag, which she holds up for the crowd to see. "In this pouch, there are several objects. You must discern the contents of the bag and their meaning. In the Sept, there are those who may know the bag's contents. Seek them out. You have until 2 days hence."
Bloodfang blinks.
Lyta's eyes gleam with interest as she looks from Astram to Batrana and back again.
Stormcrow blinks remembering an old book from his homid-hood...
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods quietly, eyes glancing from one to the other.
Oaken raises his eyebrows. Innnnteresting.
Astram rumbles as he regards the bag. ~AS you say, Grandmother. Two days from now, then.~
Breaker likes that one. :)
Victoria looks at the ground very hard, shoulders shaking at a comment from Flying Bear.
Astram cocks his head, tongue lolling out. ~I assume you mean without opening it, Grandmother?~
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul tucks the pouch back into the folds of her dress. ~Of course, as if you needed to ask.~
Astram whrufs and nods. ~IN two days then. Thank you.~
Astram Settles down by Archer again.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis waits quietly, eyes turning to regard Dracul.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul turns to Anubis. ~I am finished.~
Breaker grins at Arjun.
Hand-of-Gaia looks over at Astram and whufs encouragement to him.
Oaken softly quotes, ~`A ring! The hobbit'ses gots a ring, my preciousss!'~
White Veils opens her eyes, and hangs her head, sniffing the piece of glass.
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul floats off the mound, heading for the forest.
Astram rumbles to Breaker and Hand-of-Gaia.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods. His face becomes stern, graver than any have seen it save the Elders left from the time of Shannon's judgment. ~Johnathan Dark-Dancer, Stargazer, stand forth.~
On the Earth Mound, Batrana Dracul takes a few steps back, and then a few more, returning him to the east and nearer the fire pit.
Victoria looks from Astram back to the ground, expression smug.
On the northern curve, Batrana Dracul turns back and retreats east to the fire pit.
Dark-Dancer stands and steps forward.
White Veils cocks her head, and turns towards the Earth mound.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn's expression becomes grave.
Near the Fire Pit, Batrana Dracul pats Thorn as she floats by.
Dark-Dancer heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Dark-Dancer has left.
Oaken tenses, looking worried.
Stormcrow scowls, arms crossed over his chest.
Near the Fire Pit, Batrana Dracul follows the Wheel west, away from the fire pit.
On the northern curve, Batrana Dracul turns back and retreats east to the fire pit.
Near the Fire Pit, Batrana Dracul makes her way south, back around the Wheel.
On the eastern curve, Batrana Dracul heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn nods shallowly at Batrana as she passes.
Toxic growls low in her throat.
Erik's expression darkens, and he takes forth a note pad to better remember these proceedings
On the Earth Mound, Dark-Dancer stands motionless, staring at the ground.
White Veils gets to her feet.
Lyta's ears flick in curiosity as she watches Anubis.
Spooner looks puzzled at the sudden mood shift.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks at Dark-Dancer, but his voice addresses the rest of the Sept. ~Dark-Dancer has been accused of violation of the Litany. As Keeper of the Ways, it is my responsibility to pass judgement upon those adjudged to have committed such acts. This I will do, in consultation with the Elders, as soon as I may consult with the Elders after this Moot. We will ask for your side then, and not before.~
Echen sighs softly and drops his eyes; he paws slightly at the ground before settling back down.
Stormcrow nods solemnly.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis growls. ~Until such time, the Sept will keep its peace and Dark-Dancer will remain confined to the Caern.~
White Veils 's eyes flash over at Toxic, filled with questions.
Erik closes his notepad. Closed-door.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks at Dark-Dancer. ~You may return to your seat.~
On the Earth Mound, Dark-Dancer looks up at Anubis, then bows formally. ~As you say, Anubis-rhya, so shall I do.~
On the Earth Mound, Dark-Dancer heads into the center.
Dark-Dancer has arrived.
Nightmare watches, eyes thoughtful, gauging.
Dark-Dancer walks slowly back to the place where he was, and seats himself again.
Astram nods, with a rumble, to Anubis and dark-dancer.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis holds up the two halves of the bone. ~It is traditional among the Garou to let any speak at this time. Those who have concerns, one at a time, may approach and take it, and speak unhindered to the Sept.~
Maury nudges Echen and whuffs a little at him.
White Veils exhales slowly, again clouding the air before her like a screen before her face.
Lyta glances around at the gathered Sept, her eyes growing thoughtful.
Breaker looks a bit worried over at Dark-Dancer for a moment.
Dark-Dancer attempts to appear stoic and unworried. He fails.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn meets Anubis' eyes meaningfully.
Lara-Anne steps forward.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks at Thorn. ~Thorn-yuf, come and take the bone. Lara-Anne will follow.~
Toxic flicks an ear at Anubis also.
Lara-Anne nods.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn heads into the center.
Thorn has arrived.
Thorn heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Thorn has left.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis hands Thorn the bone.
Hecate looks, meaningfully, at Anubis.
Inya stays, ic, but needs sleep, ooc. Forgive.
Inya has left.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's eyes catch Toxic's, and then Hecate's, indicating their positions in the order.
Hecate recants. Nevermind.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's eyes linger on Hecate for a moment, and he nods again slightly.
On the Earth Mound, Thorn steps to the mound and takes the bone from Anubis. He turns to the assemblage. ~Most if not all here have heard of what befell Two Lakes. Many know that such a thing nearly happened here. I warn this Sept that the Veil here is thin. We must exercise every caution in its defense.~
Dark-Dancer senses "Sepdet's cub's eyes dart towards you with a curious sympathy, almost respect."
White Veils lowers her head.
Astram rumbles affirmatively.
Bloodfang nods gravely.
Stormcrow nods in agreement
Luna's Arrow regards the assembled Garou steadily and then looks back at Thorn.
Breaker's jaws clench.
On the Earth Mound, Thorn says, ~A lone Human, named Markham, has stood in defense of this Caern, though he is not Kinfolk. He now stands between us and the fate of the Wendigo at Two Lakes.~
You sense Dark-Dancer's nervousness, mixed with a fatalistic acceptance of what-will-be.
Banestriker looks toward Anubis as well.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis glowers at the mention of Markham's name, but does not speak, respecting the custom of the bone.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis mavs. Dammit.
Bloodfang glowers at the mention of Markham's name, but does not speak, respecting the custom of the bone.
Nightmare blinks, head cocked curiously.
On the Earth Mound, Thorn says, ~Many would argue that the Human must be destroyed, but if we were to do so, the Veil would be utterly rent here. We will not harm him.~
Sepdet stifles a whuff of surprise, furred hand dropping to her Moon Knife out of habit.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis listens quietly to Thorn, face unreadable.
On the Earth Mound, Thorn hands the bone back to Anubis and steps down from the Earth Mound.
Stormcrow fades silently into the shadows.
Stormcrow has left.
On the Earth Mound, Thorn heads into the center.
Thorn has arrived.
Thorn heads northeast to the fire pit.
Thorn has left.
Lara-Anne heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Lara-Anne has left.
White Veils cocks her head, and pants a few times, shaking her head. She wuffs hopefully at Thorn before falling still.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis holds the bone again. He meets BAnestriker's eyes briefly, then hands the bone to Lara-Anne.
Breaker looks after Thorn, his intention to speak with Thorn about this later clear
Chaser tosses her head and meets Thorn's eyes evenly.
On the Earth Mound, Lara-Anne takes the bone.
Cindi looks to Thorn and nods, agreeing with him. ~Valiant too.~
On the Earth Mound, Lara-Anne says "Mine is not so much a concern as it is an announcement. The Children held a moot two nights past, and it was decided that in Aspen-rhya's absence, a Voice of the Goddess and an Arm of the Goddess should be chosen to act in her stead."
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks at Lara-Anne, listening quietly.
Ali's nose twitches slightly, in puzzlement.
Windrunner watches Lara.
On the Earth Mound, Lara-Anne says "For those who do not know what the Voice and Arm of the Goddess are, they are positions held by Children of Gaia, one female, the other male, to act as elders."
Victoria smirks at Flying Bear.
Calypso slowly closes and opens her eyes.
On the Earth Mound, Lara-Anne says "It was voted upon at the Moot, and decided that I should hold the position of Voice of the Goddess, and that ~Windrunner~ would be the Arm of the Goddess."
Bloodfang looks at Lara-Anne, and then at Flying Bear, and back. He grunts.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods quietly.
Chaser rolls her eyes.
On the Earth Mound, Lara-Anne says "In meetings of the Elders, one or both of us should attend."
Actaeon blinks in surprise and looks at Flying Bear. He rumbles softly.
On the Earth Mound, Lara-Anne says "Thank you for listening."
On the Earth Mound, Lara-Anne returns the bone half to Anubis, and nods respectfully to him, then the rest of the Garou.
Flying Bear shrugs noncomitally, as if to ask the crowd at large as if they thought his opinion mattered for shit among the CoG?
On the Earth Mound, Lara-Anne heads into the center.
Lara-Anne has arrived.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods, and turns back to the group. ~Toxic-yuf.~
Toxic heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Toxic has left.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis hands Toxic the bone.
Windrunner walks over and stands next to Lara.
Echen clears his throat slightly and levels his gaze across the clearing at Anubis, a smile quirking the corners of his lips.
White Veils catches Oaken's eye.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn nods a smile at Lara-Anne and Windrunner.
Erik moves over briefly by Flying Bear, not saying anything.
Victoria glances from Erik to her packmate, then returns to watching Toxic.
Cindi suddnely feels like she is in a French comedy farce.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's eyes meet Echen's briefly, and then return to Toxic.
Flying Bear glances at Erik.
On the Earth Mound, Toxic steps up, taking the bone lightly in one hand, twirling it in her fingers. ~As is my duty as Talesinger, I've gotta bit of information t'pass on. If ya've heard, fine. If ya haven't, th'life ya save may be your own. Astram-rhya has declared a state of war. No challenges for leadership and no hesitation, especially if things look rough. We've identifed at least four Dancers inna city, and have names for two of'em. Tyrus Swaim, who Rush Hour is stalking, and one Gakk-Thh. Th'latter's got a fetish, looks like a crystal skull. It was used t'kill Quigley.~
Erik is just there.
Breaker looks up sharply. Information he can use.
White Veils looks up at Toxic, and takes a step towards the mound.
Archer takes this information to heart.
Grey Eyes's eyes narrow.
Cindi nods, listening.
Bloodfang growls low in his throat.
Fisher-King listens quietly, though his mouth is twisted in a silent snarl.
Gentle Touches watches and listens intently.
Storm Dancer glances at Jon, and then back at Toxic, her ears flat against her skull.
Nimble blinks up, eyes narrowed in concentration, listening.
Calypso makes a sign of warding with her left hand.
Jon Nomad looks up at Toxic, intent once more.
Dark-Dancer glances up at Toxic's statement, half-paying attention; he seems lost in his own thoughts.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez scowls, but manages not to say anything.
On the Earth Mound, Toxic continues, ~Near as we can figure, it sucks out th'umbral shadow, spirit, soul, whatever ya wanna call it, of whatever it touches. Ya see it, donna touch it, ya? Engage with ranged weapons or get someone who -can-. If ya decide t'track any Dancers ya see, be damnably careful. If they donna double back and raise ambush before going to their lair...Well, they're less nasty than me some days, and I doubt that, so -expect- t'be ambushed.~
White Veils whimpers, her tail brushing the earth and her ears drooped.
Banestriker moves toward the Earth Mound in preparation to speak next.
Cindi spits, grossed out by what that talisman would entail.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods quietly, looking unsurprised and perhaps a bit sad.
Grey Eyes mutters something _old._
Astram rumbles, deeply, ~Do not hunt them without orders from myself or the Claw.~
Lara-Anne looks at Windrunner and blinks.
Astram settles back after this brief, but necessary, interruption.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez quickly shifts his gaze to Astram, looking surprised.
On the Earth Mound, Toxic tilts her head, tossing the bone from hand to hand. ~In addition, there's at least one sorceror in town who's apparently out for us. Echen and Gaprunner have more experience with that. All I've got is secondhand on him. Echen, would you do me th'favor of reporting while we've got th'Sept gathered here?~
Banestriker snarls quietly.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks at Toxic. ~Echen may address the issue when it is his turn to hold the bone.~
Jon Nomad winces as if slapped, haunted eyes remaining intent.
Calypso looks at Gaprunner and then at Storm Dancer.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's voice is not sharp, but is quite firm.
Cindi looks at Jon, wincing slightly.
Astram leaves his body here while his player heads off due to rl necessity.
Storm Dancer leans against Jon, her amber eyes daring anyone to disturb her, or her tribe mate.
On the Earth Mound, Toxic nods to Anubis. ~Okay, then. Report anything funny inna City t'Astram, and keep passing th'information ya get around so others know. Donna take stupid chances. Let's be careful out there.~ She bows to Anubis and presents the bone to him.
Thoth follows Astram into the 'Umbra'.
On the Earth Mound, Toxic heads into the center.
Toxic has arrived.
Banestriker has connected.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis takes it with a nods. ~Claw Banestriker.~
Breaker hurries over to Toxic. Whisper, whisper.
Banestriker heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Banestriker has left.
Victoria has disconnected.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis hands the bone to the Get.
White Veils rubs the side of her head against her shoulder, as if her eyes hurt.
On the Earth Mound, Banestriker steps forward and takes the bone with a nod to Anubis.
Astram has disconnected.
On the Earth Mound, Banestriker turns back out to the crowd. "I would speak on this threat, lest the Sept think nothing is being done."
On the Earth Mound, Banestriker says "Do not set out on your own to discover these foes. Do not follow or engage them if it may be avoided. I will appoint packs, working in tandem, to seek out and remove the enemy. Those who have been identified, it will be somewhat simpler."
Lyta glances at her packsisters, holding the gaze of Hecate in particular, and then flicks both ears toward the Claw, listening.
On the southern curve, Desert comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Desert heads into the center.
Desert has arrived.
On the Earth Mound, Banestriker picks out a few faces in the crowd. Lyta, Toxic, Stormcrow, others. "I will speak to the leaders of packs at a later time. Every existing pack will have a chance for glory."
Windrunner waves.
Gentle Touches waves OOC to Lara.
Lara-Anne has disconnected.
Lara-Anne acks as RL interrupts her waking hours here. She'll be back. <famed Arnie Schwarzennegger impression> :)
Bloodfang glowers at Desert as he enters, not angrily, but a sort of disapproving glance.
Calypso slowly blinks her eyes.
Desert bounds in, panting lightly, and finds a place to sit and watch.
On the Earth Mound, Banestriker says "This needs be done quickly, to minimize damage to the Veil. Rush Hour attacks the leeches. The others should go quickly as well. This is all."
On the Earth Mound, Banestriker returns the bone to Anubis.
Spooner watches, her red eyes not always directed at the center of the action, but at an individual or group.
On the Earth Mound, Banestriker heads into the center.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods, and holds the bone out again. ~Echen.~
Breaker buh-links.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez hms.
Echen rises quickly and steps back over to the earth mound.
Echen heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Echen has left.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis hands the bone to Echen.
White Veils lifts her head, and shakes it. Then she lowers it again.
Dark-Dancer closes his eyes and sighs.
Oaken says something quietly to White Veils, snapping his finger and smiling a little.
White Veils doesn't seem much cheered.
On the Earth Mound, Echen holds the bone lightly for a moment, and then stares out over the assemblage. ~I'll do as Toxic asked me, and then present a bit of, well, better tidings. This magician, a rogue calling himself Cornelius Snowdon, has seen fit to begin preying upon our people. Thus far he's succeeded in snaring me, and, from what I've heard, Gaprunner-yuf as well. I've been freed of his grip; don't worry. But he's a dangerous fellow... should any of you happen to bump into him, it would be wise to use the same caution as you reserve for these Dancers.~
Breaker grinds his teeth against each other, making a grating sound
Bloodfang nods, brows furrowed.
Cindi growls softly and rubs her claws together with a rapid clickclick.
Jon Nomad's claws trace the glyph for his tribe into the ground, and he stares at it fixedly.
White Veils errrs. ~But...But him, and the 'Dancers' What do they look like? What if they use a different name?~
White Veils lowers her head, pulling away from the looks she gets.
Flying Bear ~Sense Wyrm, girl.~
Sepdet swears very softly, very precisely, a particularly elaborate Egyptian curse.
On the Earth Mound, Echen pauses thoughtfully. ~Snowdon's methods seem to be preying upon our weaker points. He attacks through our wants and our desires, perhaps presenting us with what might be our dearest dreams in order to assure his grip. My br-- my friend, the one who freed me... he says that Snowdon's magicks are curses, and that he drains of our spirits for his own purposes. He's an older gentleman, very refined and dignified. Be wary, my friends.~
Grey Eyes gives a word of strength to Gaprunner.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks quietly at Sepdet before nodding slightly at Echen's statements.
White Veils nods at Echen, unable to tell Wyrm from her own scent as she is.
On the Earth Mound, Echen brightens a bit as he continues. ~The second bit of news I wish to present is thus: Windhowl-rhya has not been among us for some time.~ He sighs quietly and chews on his lower lip, then steels himself and goes on. ~The Fianna held Moot thais past Saturday. I've been chosen to lead my tribe until such time as Windhowl returns. None can replace Windhowl; I merely do my best to succeed him.~
Desert smirks.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's eyes gleam a bit and his features curl in a slight smile.
On the Earth Mound, Echen turns and holds the bone out to Anubis, eyes sparkling. A muttered, "Thank you," and he steps away, back towards the center.
Chaser wrinkles her nose at Echen, her expression a touch amused at his discomfiture.
Near the Fire Pit, Lightfeather flaps in from the distance, finding a good perch to settle down on.
On the Earth Mound, Echen heads into the center.
Echen has arrived.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis takes the bone, and turns to the gathering. ~Are there others who would speak?~
Flying Bear snarls loudly at the damned, Wyrm-serving Bird.
Adrian lifts her head. ~ Aye. ~
Fisher-King smiles wolfishly at Echen, nodding his congratulations.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods. ~Adrian-rhya.~ He holds out the bone.
Erik whispers in Flyingbear's ear (or something more like his shoulder)
Maury snuffs at Echen happily.
Adrian rises and trots towards Anubis.
Cindi lifts a hand to Lightfeather in a glad greeting.
Near the Fire Pit, Lightfeather dips her head as she flies to the windy spot.
Near the Fire Pit, Lightfeather heads into the center.
Lightfeather has arrived.
Oaken grins at Echen. ~A humble Fianna; I'll be on the lookout for a billionare Gnawer, next.~
Lightfeather heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
Lightfeather has left.
On the Earth Mound, Adrian accepts the bone from Anubis, then pivots to face the gathering.
Fisher-King smirks at Oaken.
Flying Bear growls low in his throat as the Bird passes by.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez chuckles.
Nimble looks up to Adrian, listening.
Echen crouches back down by Maury and smiles happily; he ruffles her ears a moment, and then shifts.
Echen contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Lyta's ears perk forward, toward Adrian, and she quirks an eyebrow in interest.
Erik moves off, his message to Flying Bear conveyed.
Echen shifts into Lupus form.
Windrunner moves over to Echen
Luna's Arrow rises to her feet and watches Adrian closely.
On the Earth Mound, Adrian tilts her head, silent for a moment. ~ It seems meet that the pack of Seneca Falls, lead by Lyta Judge-of-Warriors, be introduced before all the Sept at this time. ~
Oaken glances from Breaker to Flying Bear to Actaeon, then back to the mound.
Calypso moves to stand near Lyta.
Breaker grins at Oaken. *glint!*
Flying Bear's lip curls into a sneer almost at once.
Luna's Arrow pads towards Lyta and stands slightly behind her.
Nimble watches the Furies intently.
Hecate perks up and moves to stand with her sisters, her body tensed slightly.
Lyta rises to her feet, standing before the others of her pack; she glances around the Caern.
Desert smirks at Lyta.
On the Earth Mound, Adrian indicates each individual as she speaks their names. ~ Lyta. Lilith. Mary. Hecate. Luna's-Arrow. Calypso. May we exchange our knowledge and strengths to Gaia's benefit. ~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods slightly.
Cindi senses "Sepdet, who has been standing quietly alone for a while, moves a little closer, a little of her usual cubbish need for companionship reasserting itself."
On the Earth Mound, Adrian returns the bone to Anubis.
Lyta nods thanks to Adrian, her eyes warm with affection and respect.
Fisher-King nods thoughtfully.
Gentle Touches notes each face as Adrian says the name.
You sense Cindi smiles a little and draws you closer. "Okay, little one?"
Luna's Arrow tosses her head slightly and nods both to her pack leader, and to Adrian.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis takes the bone back. ~Spooner, newcomer of the Furies.~
On the Earth Mound, Adrian heads into the center.
Adrian has arrived.
Spooner stands up and walks to the earth mound.
Spooner heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Spooner has left.
Flying Bear avoids even looking at Adrian as she joins the mass.
Calypso gives a smile that could be either peaceful or sad.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis hands the bone to Spooner.
Erik watches Spooner, curious about what she is concerned about.
Cindi senses "Sepdet nods slightly. ~Aye, and glad of all proceeding peacefully so far. This one has not been to Moot since first introduction to mother's sept, and is pleased not to be center of displeasure this time.~ (A rueful smile.)"
Dark-Dancer opens his eyes and stares at Spooner.
Lyta watches Spooner with interest, ears cocked toward the tribe-sister.
Cindi leans against Sepdet and lightly ruffles her fur. She whispers to the cub quietly.
On the Earth Mound, Spooner inclinds her head slightly to Anubis as she takes the bone, ~Thank you. I wish to announce in Actaeon's abscense that he is forming a guardian pack for this Caern. A pack I intend joining, if this is acceptable to the Elders.~
Nimble quirks an eyebrow and tilts her head curiously at Spooner.
Oaken quirks his eyebrows at Brandi.
Banestriker grunts noncommittally.
Erik ohhh.
You sense Cindi nods, "You've spent more time with the garou than I..." She hugs you warmly and then watches, "Caused a bit of a fuss in the past?"
Adrian looks lupinely pleased.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods, looking unsurprised.
Sepdet looks wistful.
Brandi looks over at Oaken, and shrugs.
Bloodfang raises an eyebrow slightly.
On the Earth Mound, Spooner hands the bone back to Anubis.
Nimble glances at Brandi and Oaken curiously.
On the Earth Mound, Spooner heads into the center.
Spooner has arrived.
Cindi smiles a bit.
Hecate growls softly, low in her throat; the noise cuts off quickly and she looks apoplogetically at Lyta.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis takes the bone back. ~Any others?~
Sepdet quietly moves closer to Cindi, murmuring something softly although her eyes are locked on the Truthsayer her elder.
Erik moves over to Spooner and speaks with her for a moment.
Spooner's red gaze flicks with slight amusement to the source of the growl.
Dark-Dancer continues to stare at Spooner as she move back toward the center.
Cindi senses "Sepdet whuffs. ~Newly-appointed Talesinger does not normally begin first moot with metis cub at side.~"
You sense Cindi sighs heavily, gently grooming your ear with one set of claws, "That's her choice. You'll do her honour, I know."
Lyta glances back at Hecate intently at the growl; then, as it subsides, she returns her eyes to the Truthcatcher.
Grey Eyes mutters something like..~about time..~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods, seeing none. He crushes the remnants of the bone in his Crinos hands, and scatters them to the wind. ~Echen, in the absence of the Talesinger, I request a story of you, for the last part of the Moot before the Revel.~
White Veils stirs restlessly, and turns, padding away from the mound.
Echen contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Echen shifts into Crinos form.
Flying Bear stretches his arms wide, growling quietly, looking bored and wanting to Revel.
Spooner looks at Dark-Dancer for a moment, her muzzle losing its wolfish grin.
Cindi senses "Sepdet fall silent again, a smile curling her lips."
On the Earth Mound, Anubis sits upon the edge of the Earth Mound, giving Echen the stage.
Echen smiles broadly and steps forward, towards the mound. ~I hope I do not disappoint.~
Echen heads northwest to the mound of earth.
Echen has left.
You sense Cindi smiles, "He is a good one."
White Veils lays down, her head resting on her forepaws as she listens.
Storm Dancer's mouth opens in a huge yawn, and she ducks her head behind Jon to cover it.
Sepdet's ears swivel forward eagerly.
Flying Bear probably ends up listening boredly to the tale, and then Revelling with the best of them. *zip*
Flying Bear has disconnected.
Archer , too.
Archer has disconnected.
On the Earth Mound, Echen sits down on the crest of the mound and looks out over the crowd. ~A tale, on this night when we find ourselves hunted from all quarters, that harkens to a day, long ago, when my ancestors in Eire faced a similar problem. The Tuatha De Danann had lately retreated from the lands, and men had begun to gather together into villages and towns. They forged their tools of metal rather than make use of cold stone, and they lived in accord with the land, under the gentle but firm guidance of my kin.~
You paged Cindi with 'OOC *yawn* ;) Wish humans could mesh time zones with characters, that more folks could stay. Want Shadows by the Firelight. Sigh.'.
Oaken leans forward, intent.
You sense Cindi nods, "Yah..." She hugs you, very tiered herself.
Spooner shifts position to lay on her belly, head resting in her paws to listen to the story.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez kicks back and lounges, looking up at the sky.
Aaron contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Aaron shifts into Lupus form.
Ali settles, plumed tail curling about her paws; while her eyes aren't as open as they could be, her ears are certainly attentive.
Seth-Amnon flops down on the ground and listens.
On the Earth Mound, Echen continues. ~A son of one of these villages answered to the name of Laegaire Mac Ronan. A bold, brash, adventurous youth, Laegaire forged ties of friendship with the Garou, and learned from them a great deal of the lore of the woods. Laegaire took to hunting alongside my ancestors, and a passion for the hunt grew in his chest that could not be quenched. Laegaire's skill with the bow was unmatched; his sword arm was lightning-fast; his running pace as quick as the wind. His skill at the hunt even surpassed that of many Garou.~
Dark-Dancer, too nervous now to sit in one place, rises and stalks off to the southwest.
Dark-Dancer heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
Dark-Dancer has left.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn sits down crosslegged close to the fire.
Calypso remains standing, her eyes fixed on the storyteller.
Nimble listens, and can't help but grin ferally at the mention of bows.
Cindi chuckles softly, her head nodding as she listens to the tale...
Lyta sits calmly, her eyes alighting on the storyteller with a sort of neutral, polite interest.
Gentle Touches moves to sit by Windrunner and the other CoG, listening to Echen.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis listens quietly to the Fianna seated next to him.
On the Earth Mound, Echen frowns thoughtfully. ~It is spoken that the Wyrm came to Laegaire Mac Ronan one night as he slept, and promised him a hunt that would never end. This fanned the flames of passion, and Laegaire Mac Ronan fell to the Wyrm's embrace, for, though he was as skilled as the Garou with the hunt, he knew as little as a spring cub of the true nature of things.~ He draws himself up a bit. ~In any case, Laegaire Mac Ronan began to hunt more and more. No longer did he hunt to feed and clothe himself and his kin, but he hunted for the brutal pleasure. He descended into murderous madness, a trail of blood following him where he trod.~
Nightmare listens quietly, a little restlessly.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's eyes scan the gathering, watching to see where the implications sink in.
On the Earth Mound, Echen closes his eyes. ~My ancestors knew that Laegaire Mac Ronan had to be stopped: such a foul creature had he become, since accepting the Wyrm's embrace, that there was no hope left to him. And so the hunter became the hunted. Yet Laegaire's skills at the hunt were so great that he managed to throw off his pursuers time and time again, leading them into ambush and death. In his madness, he began to cloak himself with the skins of slain Garou. Perhaps he dreamt of becoming Garou himself; who can say? It is not for us to know what horror lurks in the mind of such a one.~
Luna's Arrow's mouth curls into a silent snarl. She has heard the tale before, but it still angers her.
Gentle Touches listens to the story, watching...
In the Windy Spot, Dark-Dancer stands motionless upon the stone, his feet wide, his fur windblown, his face turned up to Luna.
Grey Eyes's eyes darken at the mention of such a Dark practice.
Chaser wrinkles her nose. ~That's *nasty*.~
Cindi nods, ~Unpleasant. Sympathy magic but still..."
Sepdet sighs sadly, scanning the faces of all those gathered.
Nimble shakes her head slightly, as if trying to clear the mental image she gets of such an idea.
Calypso continues to stand quietly and listen.
On the Earth Mound, Echen's jaw tenses a bit as he goes on. ~Laegaire was not satisfied with leading Garou into ambush and death, though. Now he turned on those who he had called friends. Now *he* hunted *them*. Through dark fens and silent forests he stalked us, his arrows flying true into the hearts of our people, his sword slashing their throats, his fleet foot carrying him away before they could revenge themselves upon him. So great was his pride that he'd begun to boast of his great talents and draw other human hunters into the Wyrm's embrace; these aided his cause, and slew even more Garou.~ He opens his eyes and rises to his feet, gesturing wide with his hands. ~Our number dwindled, and we found ourselves on the very edge of defeat. And so we called upon aid from beyond the Realm, a machine of vengeance to rid ourselves of Laegaire Mac Ronan.~
Grey Eyes nods with knowing reverence.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis watches Echen quietly.
Chaser grins at Echen, and yawns pointedly. Her eyes glint with humor as she flops to the ground; grinning, she closes her eyes and feigns sleep.
Maury drags her coat over to the table stone and curls up under it, obviously listening. When the revel starts, assume she falls asleep or leaves, whichever is safer.
On the Earth Mound, Echen narrows his eyes and paces across the fire pit, his voice lowered in volume now, but still carrying across the entire clearing. ~On a night not entirely unlike this one, Laegaire Mac Ronan found himself hunting in a dark wood close to a Caern. This night was to be the night where he would complete his cloak of Garou flesh; he hunted some of the last Garou in Eire. Slowly, quietly, he stalked towards the Caern, the moonlit mist curling about him and shrouding him from plain sight.~ He pauses dramatically. ~Suddenly, a burst of noise reached his ears: a hunting horn, not far distant, and the baying of hounds! Surely another hunter would not *dare* intrude on his hunt!~
On the Earth Mound, Echen glances around the clearing. ~Laegaire grew furious, and in doing so, grew murderous. He would *have* this other hunter. He waited in ambush, amidst the mist-shrouded trees, an arrow drawn across his bow. The baying of hounds grew louder, the bursts of the horn more frequent and increasing in volume...~ He spins, hiis voice reaching a crescendo. ~From the mist leapt a pack of black hounds, their eyes and their tongues licks of green fire! Behind them, light on his feet despite his bulk, ran a massive, dusky-skinned, stag-antlered man! In his hands he carried a mighty spear, which he levelled at Laegaire Mac Ronan as he and his pack burst through the trees! 'Laegaire Mac Ronan!' he cried. 'Know that I am Gronw Pebyr, the Master of the Wild Hunt! You have betrayed the Garou! The vengeance of that people, and the vengeance of Father Stag, is upon you!'~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis's features smile slightly.
On the Earth Mound, Echen pauses for a long moment, and then drops into a low crouch at the crest of the earth mound, tracing an idle pattern in the soft dirt with a taloned finger. ~Laegaire Mac Ronan was never seen by man or Garou again,~ he says softly. ~Our people found his bow, shattered, some many, many leagues away from the Caern he stalked. His sword, bent and broken, lay next to his bow. Of his cloak of Garou flesh there was no sign.~ He looks up, out over the crowd. ~And that, my friends, is the tale of Laegaire Mac Ronan's last hunt, a hunt he never finished, a hunt he was doomed to lose. Fear not the hunters, my friends; like Laegaire Mac Ronan, we will conquer them, given time and assistance from beyond this Realm.~
Grey Eyes nods grimmly.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis growls in quiet agreement.
Seth-Amnon barks approval.
In the Windy Spot, Dark-Dancer opens his eyes and glares at the center, at Spooner. ~Get out of my mind,~ he growls. ~If you wish to taunt me with my crime, then do so another day, and do so while you look me in the eye.~
On the Earth Mound, Echen smiles slightly at Anubis and descends the side of the mound. ~Thank you,~ he murmurs under his breath, and he shifts.
Luna's Arrow nods to the teller of the tale.
On the Earth Mound, Echen contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
On the Earth Mound, Echen shifts into Lupus form.
On the Earth Mound, Echen heads into the center.
Echen has arrived.
Fisher-King nod slowly to Echen, but says nothing.
Fisher-King turns sharply to look at Spooner when Dark-Dancer speaks.
Near the Fire Pit, Thorn grins at Echen and holds up his hands, clapping silently.
Nimble nods to Echen quietly.
Echen pads, quietly, back over to Maury and nuzzles her gently. Did I put you to sleep?
On the Earth Mound, Anubis whuffs aprroval to Echen, and stands. He looks over the crowd quietly.
Oaken grins to Echen.
Gentle Touches smiles at Echen. ~The best I've heard you tell yet.~
Erik says "Well done, Echen..."
Nightmare chuffs in amusement and approval at Echen.
Spooner levels a steady, red gaze at DarkDancer, ~I am not taunting. It is a question I truly wish to hear the answer to. And one I will ask looking at anyone you name.~
Fisher-King blinks, glancing at Cindi.
Sepdet flashes an appreciative grin at Echen, then flattens her ears as the aura/mood shifts slightly and turns her eyes to the center.
Desert watches Dark-Dancer speculatively.
Luna's Arrow contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Joan shifts into Homid form.
Joan turns to look at the stargazer.
In the Windy Spot, Dark-Dancer says ~If you truly wished the answer, you would have accepted it when I offered it, and not asked the same question again. My transgression is the business of the Elders, and of myself, and of her, and it is NONE OF YOURS!~
On the Earth Mound, Anubis growls loudly. ~It is at last time for the Revel. Many of you have had difficulty working with the new pack of Furies. I urge you to set aside those problems now, and work together in combatting the Wyrm.~
Erik gently reminds folks that Anubis-rhya instructed quiet on this matter until the Elders have considered this.
Ali's player needs to leave; Ali herself will, naturally, join in.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis looks at the group. ~I name Hecate of the Furies to be Wyrm Foe. Lead us in the Revel.~
Ali has disconnected.
In the Windy Spot, Dark-Dancer is obviously quite angry, but in control of himself.
Hecate blinks, and lifts her eyes towards Anubis. What?
Desert laughs at Dark-Dancer.
Fisher-King looks at Spooner pointedly, backing up Erik's reminder considerably less gently.
Lyta flicks an ear, and look amused.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis nods at Hecate. ~You heard me.~
Adrian runs out her tongue in a decided grin.
Joan grins at Hecate.
Hecate blinks again, almost smiling. A light gathers behind her eyes as she shifts.
Hecate contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis growls even more loudly. ~It is time for the Revel! The subject of Dark-Dancer's crimes is for a later time and will now be DROPPED.~
Hecate shifts into Crinos form.
Lyta bares her teeth in a lupine smile. ~I would walk the Bawn before the fighting begins, packsister. I will rejoin you for the Revel.~
Cindi chuckles and approves.
Grey Eyes stretches as he rises, a growl of release escapes from his throat.
Spooner looks calm. She nods to Erik and then looks back at DarkDancer. ~My apologies. My question will keep.~
Sepdet nods a quiet smile at her tribe elder.
Calypso gives a small smile.
In the Windy Spot, Lightfeather floats above the Caern, using updrafts to stay flying without effort. She watches carefully of the garou below her.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis steps down from the Earth Mound, the Moot now in Hecate's hands.
Grey Eyes contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Grey Eyes shifts into Crinos form.
On the Earth Mound, Anubis heads into the center.
Anubis has arrived.
Lyta glances once toward Dark-Dancer and Spooner, her eyes narrowing slightly. Turning, she pads out of the Caern on silent paws.
Lyta heads north, away from the center of the Wheel.
Lyta has left.
On the northern curve, Lyta turns to the north, and leaves past the rim of the Wheel.
In the Windy Spot, Dark-Dancer snarls at Spooner, then turns away and stalks toward the very edge of the trees.
Anubis contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Anubis shifts into Lupus form.
Fisher-King smiles wolfishly at Storm Dancer. You stayed awake.
Calypso contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Calypso shifts into Lupus form.
Jon Nomad falls asleep out of the way somewhere.
Hecate inhales sharply and growls long and low. ~We look for a fight in th'Umbra.~ She looks to Anubis. ~Sound okay?~
Jon Nomad has left.
Anubis nods. Your Revel.
Long distance to Lightfeather: Sepdet's eyes light on you as she glances up at her name-star, and crinkle in slight greeting before tensing her small figure to face whatever might come next.
Breaker grins at Hecate.
Anubis howls loudly.
Hecate smiles a bit manicly and steps towards the pool. ~Let's go,~ she growls.
Storm Dancer chuffs softly at Fisher-King. "~I had a lot of cafeeine this afternoon."
se
Near the Pool, Oaken's eyes stop on his reflection in the pool.
You make your way southeast, toward the pool.
[lots and lots of movement poses]
At the center, Adrian stands proudly, watching the Garou flow around her like water.
At the center, Fisher-King whuffles. Come on, then...the Moot is not over until the Revel is done.
Anubis waits by the Pool as the Garou flood past and into the Umbra.
In the Windy Spot, Lightfeather floats to the pool, waiting for an opening.
Gentle Touches braces herself and stares into the pool
At the center, Desert watches Garou leave, and laughs quietly.
Lightfeather spreads her wings and leaps into the air, flapping into the distance.
Lightfeather has left.
Lightfeather's eyes stop on her reflection in the pool.
Lightfeather gazes into the pool, and suddenly she vanishes.
Joan has left.
Joan gazes into the pool, and suddenly she vanishes.
At the center, Nightmare blinks around, glances at Echen, and follows the flow.
You paged Lightfeather with 'help newbie! how do I step into umbra! (panic)'.
At the center, Nightmare heads southeast to the pool.
Nightmare has arrived.

In the Windy Spot, Velasquez follows the Wheel past the Windy Spot.
Sepdet's eyes stop on her reflection in the pool.
The landscape shimmers, and you are through.
Umbra: Beyond the Pool
The world about you is so sharp and alive as to make the place you left a dull, sooty dream. Surely, it was never as _real_ as this. The topography is the same, you still stand by the pool within the arc of the Wheel, but there the similarity ends. Every blade of grass is distinct from every other one, and each glows with vitality, for this is the Green World, the pure life within, the reality beyond reality.

[shuffle shuffle shuffle]
You head through the tall grass toward the center of the clearing. The air fairly crackles with spiritual energy the closer you get to the center.
Umbra: Center of the Caern
The thick grasses surrounding this place suddenly give way to solid granite in a perfect circle some twenty yards across. An eerie chill runs up your spine, instincts atingle as an undiscernable presence fills the air. Lunes dance wildly on the air, lighting the place brightly and casting odd shadows about the clearing. At the center of the stone circle a broad Medicine Circle has been drawn in brightly colored chalks and sand, one Great Ring embracing a second smaller circle. Inscribed within the greater ring are stylized representations of each of the Totems of the Garou, and at the cardinal directions stand the symbols of the elements. Within the center of the Medicine Circle a triangle has been laid in silver dust, seven feet on a side. At each point the symbols of each of the Triat have been drawn, The Wyld, Weaver, and Wyrm each adding its primal power to the binding.
The air here is charged with silent anticipation, as if a power long forgotten finally stirs. Even the least perceptive can feel the eerie presence of the place, sense the strength buried deep within the Earth. Power reverberates through the Earth's shell like the song of distant thunder, rumbling so deeply it must be felt rather than heard.
[shuffle shuffle]
w
On the western edge of the clearing, Eyes to the Sky has disconnected.
You head through the bright grasses, toward the western edge of the clearing.
Umbra: Edge of the Caern Clearing
This is the western edge of the clearing. The trees of the Caern here in the Umbra rise to greater heights than they do in the real world, reflecting the care and comfort they receive by being tended by the Garou and being near one of the places of Gaia's power. The grasses and trees are a scintillating shade of deep green, as though it was midsummer all year long. The gras grows thick and tall all across the clearing, and rises to a bare hill at the center of the Caern. In the center, a charged glow seems to emanate from the hilltop itself. Spirits, especially Glade Children, are often seen in the distance, cavorting about the edge of the clearing.
Two faint pathways lead in opposite directions. One leads eastward through the tall grass to the center of the Caern, and the other westward into the Umbral forest.
Another howl rips loose from Hecate's throat as she runs, her lean, muscular body carrying her westward, towards Kent Crossing.
w
You head westward into the woods.
Umbra: Forest Trail
The towering greenery of the Umbral forest surrounds you, but for the faint path you stand on and a gap between two trees. Bird-spirits fly through the trees above you. Bizzarely, the woods seem almost slanted. Trees grow taller and vibrantly greener the further east you go, and smaller and more twisted the further west you go. The grasses are tall, almost waist-height on most humans. As with the rest of the Umbra, the woods are cast in eternal twilight, but for an odd glow that shines through the trees west of you. The silence is nearly total, broken only occasionally by a sound from the west or a spirit making noise in the far-off reaches of the forest.
The path runs east and west from here.
[....]
w
You walk through the woods down the path, eventually coming out in the middle of the Umbral representation of a small town in the real world.
Umbra: Kent Crossing
This is a typical small town as represented on this side of the Gauntlet, most likely Kent Crossing. The town itself is a small grouping of squat, dark buildings, covered in thin webbing. Inside each building burns an orangish light, likely from the spirits that inhabit each home. On the north and east, it is surrounded by trees, most of which seem fairly grey in the twilight. Further east, in the distance, the trees seem to get taller. Westward, a darkness covers everything, and the webs covering things seem thicker. You can't see more than about ten yards past the edge of town. A wide roadway leads into the darkness. The road to the south, however, is the vilest thing here. In the Umbra, this road is covered in black ooze, spiderwebs careening across it at wild angles between dead trees. The sounds of chaos and carnage are heard from that direction.
A road leads west into the gloom, and a small, barely visible path leads eastward into the Umbral forest. The web-and-ooze-covered road leads southward out of the town.

Nightmare lopes along easily, his blood singing to him.
Fisher-King frowns at Velasquez. ~Don't you find that form confining for combat?~
A brace of Pattern Spiders weave a silent web across the few trees remaining along the southern road; a single, dark shape lurks beneath them, urging them to weave faster and longer.
Velasquez says "Confining? I been fighting like this for a lotta years, man."
Oaken tenses. ~What's the plan?~
Grey Eyes roars to the sky, releasing the fury he so often holds within.
Nightmare stares southward, fire building in his eyes. ~...atonement...~ he whispers.
Nightmare contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Nightmare shifts into Crinos form.

[CONNECTION BUMPED]

note... severed connection knocked out a few minutes of pre-fight....

Lyta comes down the woodland trail from the east and into the area.
Lyta has arrived.
Fisher-King looks at Velasquez.
Oaken looks back at Cindi, smiling a little.
Lyta appears from a distance, sprinting toward the dark town, a lone figure against the Umbral horizon.
Sepdet ooc- damn weaver-Internet.
Hecate, OOC: Please page me with intents, folks, and we'll try to keep this organized. Try being the operative word, here.
Fisher-King says ~Hmm. I do not know if it has ever been tried, Velasquez. I am inclined to think not.~
Fisher-King says ~Shift. Think of it as good practice for Wednesday.....~
Fisher-King chuckles wolfishly.
Velasquez sighs. And concentrates for a moment.
Fisher-King glances from Storm Dancer to Cindi. Together?
Cindi looks over at Oaken, The lot of us. Just like at the Rite, Storm....
You paged Cindi with 'ack. What ickies are we facing that I missed?'.
Storm Dancer nods to Fisher-King. ~Teams work best. ~ Her voice drops, in hope that the bane will not hear her whispered converstions. ~We're faster than the crinos, go in first?~
Velasquez works to psyche himself up...
Velasquez contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Velasquez shifts into Crinos form.
Cindi nods to Storm Dancer. "I cannot sneak worth a damn. I might as well serve as a diversion." She hefts her weapon, fingers curling about it with a manical grin, ~Like, call me Ishamel.~
Sepdet clenches lithe black fingers around her fetish knife while OOC regains bearings as quickly as she can.
Fisher-King nods slightly to Storm Dancer. He rumbles in a low tone ~Run past it, and attack it's left flank. I will do the same on the right.~
Fisher-King glances at Cindi. ~You can charge right in. Make your ancestors proud.~
Oaken cocks his head, looking at Velasquez. Nice; not Fianna, but nice. *Grin!*
Storm Dancer snarls softly and nods to Fisher-King. Let's start this Revel off _right_. And with that, she lowers her head and charges towards the bane.
Velasquez growls and glares toward the forms. ~What's the plan.~
The trio of Pattern Spiders continue their work, weaving across the tattered remnants of trees near the edge of the southern road. Something dark lurks nearby, tittering softly to itself; the shapeless, black form seems to have taken notice of the band of Garou.
Fisher-King lopes along next to Storm Dancer, vearing off as they approach the Bane and circling around the opposite side.
Oaken winces at Storm Dancer. "Crinos distract, others flank, all kill."
Nightmare watches the dark spirit, eyes burning brighter. He mutters the word, ~atonement~ again, and begins to move to the bane in a lumbering run.
Oaken nods to Cindi and starts heading forward, howling in full Galliard style as he runs.
Cindi nods and lets out a howl of challenge, ~Gaiiiiiiia!~ She springs to the attach, moving like a silver shadow. Her eyes glow with anticipation
Lyta's nostrils flare, and she begins to circle around the bane as she approaches, giving the other Garou and the creature a wide berth.
Velasquez' growl grows louder, almost to a roar, and then he charges headlong toward the group.
Fisher-King tears past the Bane, executing a rolling spin once as he passes it and lunging for it's hamstrings.
page Hecate=Seppy is small but very, very fast, and is going to start harrying the damn thing from the front when she gets around and is not in anyone's way. Her fetish knife can knock off a gnosis point if she scores a good hit.
You paged Hecate with 'Seppy is small but very, very fast, and is going to start harrying the damn thing from the front when she gets around and is not in anyone's way. Her fetish knife can knock off a gnosis point if she scores a good hit.'.
The dark shape gives an engraged, inhuman snarl as the Garou charge; the Spiders immediately cease their work and spread out to meet the charge.
Broken Claw charges straight at the Bane, eyes blazing.
Oaken waits for Fisher-king to distract it, then leaps for its head, raking and biting.
Sepdet, snarling, puts on a burst of speed and arcs around to the thing's front, hurling curses in Egyptian.
The spear gleams as Cindi charges in turn, the tip flicking under and into a foolish spider as it dares challenge her. Swiftly, she moves towards the bane, her fur glowing in Luna's gaze.
Lyta's wide circle places her on the far side of the Bane from the charging Garou; she pauses, glaring at the Bane and its attendants, and levels blazing eyes at the spirits.
Storm Dancer opens her mouth in a vicious snarl and tries to rake the creature with her teet as she passes. After her charge she rolls quickly away, in the opposite direction of Fisher-King.
Lyta begins to slink closer to the battle, silently, approaching the combat as she glares angrily at the spirits.
Nightmare lumbers forward, accelerating, blood and rage singing.
A pair of the spiders lunge at Storm Dancer and Fisher-King, legs a frenzy of motion. The third finds itself gutted by Cindi's weapon. The dark shape steps out from the shadows of the trees, meeting the Garous' charge hatefully: it appears as a near-cadaver, flesh pulled taut across its form and glaring red eyes sunk into hollow sockets. It lashes out with amazingly quick claws, catching Broken Claw and Nightmare as they barrel into it.
Gentle Touches moves in quickly, keeping low. She tries to evade the spiders around the bane and go for a tendon bite.
Sepdet, making herself a small, fast-moving target, darts in and out like an overgrown mosquito.
Hecate stays close to Lyta, surveying the carnage with a critical eye.
Storm Dancer reaches out and tries to rake the pattern spider with her claws.
Lyta closes in behind the battle, and pauses for a moment, her eyes fiercely focused on the Bane.
Oaken grins ferally; hands busy, huh? He'll go for the throat.
Broken Claw howls as the Bane's claw strikes him across the side, lifting him and knocking him back several feet. Dark blood wells from a deep slash.
Fisher-King ignores the spider-spirit, instead closing massive jaws on the leg of the dark shape, going for the traditional lupine attack.
Nightmare snarls as the bane's claws rip along his side, and he smashes its arm away in a rage-fueled block that comes seconds to late. He explodes into a flurry of motion, rage coursing in his blood, dancing on the razor edge of barely-controlled near-frenzy, lashing out at the Bane with tooth and claw.
You paged Hecate with 'Seppy's trying to draw the Bane's attention squarely onto herself, giving her larger and stronger friends an easier time of it.'.
Cindi draws her spear free, blood singing in her veins. She looks to Sepdet and the others, truly glad she is Garou. No doubts now. A leap of white and she is past her downed foe and approaches the Bane. Ichor gleams as it fall from the weapon head as the young Fang moves in.
Broken Claw shakes his head to clear it, then crouches and leaps again at the creature, roaring challenge.
You paged Hecate with 'OOC hope to get one good knife-thrust on its claw and get ribs slashed pretty bad as a result.'.
The Bane drops to the ground under the weight of the assembled Garou: Nightmare raking claws and teeth across its chest and abdomen, Fisher-King closing jaws on its leg, Oaken tearing at its throat. It howls with glee as claws and teeth tear into it, dark ichor spilling out across the ground. Storm Dancer's Pattern Spider lunges forward mindlessly; it goes down under her claws, neatly disposed of. The remaining spider titters and leaps towards Lyta and Hecate, a frenzy of legs.
From afar, Hecate grins. "Give me a second, 'kay? Things are going to change real fast, and your pose'll certainly happen."
Lyta raises an eyebrow, and in a light flurry of motion spring toward the spider, snarling.
Storm Dancer whirls back to the bane, eyes searching for an opening.
You paged Hecate with 'sure thing boss. :)'.
Oaken warms to the unfamiliar taste of Scrag, and flexes, hoping to decapitate.
Hecate barrels forward alongside Lyta, her eyes glinting with a manic light.
Gentle Touches keeps to the outside, and looks to see if there are any other banes coming to help this one.
Velasquez looks for an opening to get at the bane...
Cindi graps the heavy bladed spear in both hands, her body moving with a lethal dance. Her joy rises against the Scrag's laughter in a howl as she dives in, striking swiftly at horribly dead eyes.
Nightmare sinks talons deeply into its abdomen, trying to disembowel the damn thing.
More black ichor spills to the ground, the Bane's shriek one of triumph, not pain. With renewed strength, it starts to its feet; the Garou atop it go sailing. Its eyes alight on Cindi as Broken Claw leaps atop its chest and Sepdet plunges a knife into its side, Gentle Touches tearing at the back of its calves and Velasquez darting forward into fighting range. Madly, it flails about with claws, raking Sepdet heavily.
Storm Dancer contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Storm Dancer shifts into Crinos form.
Storm Dancer leaps for the bane, claws searching for its throat, hoping to throwit back to the ground from her momentum.
Sepdet slashes wildly at the Bane then yelps and doubles over, rolling away.
Nightmare's breath goes out of him with a whuff as he gets thrown back and slams into the ground. Shaking his head, he howls again and charges back into the fray, dark blood running from the gash in his side, eyes warily watching the bane's flailing claws.
Lyta snarls fiercely, her eyes snapping from the insignificant spider before her to the Bane-battle.
Lips draw back from ivory teeth as Cindi's glare meets that of the Wyrm-spawn. She snarls something in an antique tongue and plunges the spear forward with all her might.
Gentle Touches rolls her body against the thing's leg while savaging the other, trying to bring it down. The noxious ichor makes the ground sticky and the footing rough.
Oaken shakes his head to clear it; then, snarling in fury (and a little confusion), he leaps, trying to claw it's eyes out.
Hecate feints forward at the spider and darts back; the spider lunges off balance and finds itself torn apart by flashing jaws.
Velasquez seeing an opening, wolf-grins and lunges for it's abdomen, claws seeking to tear out chunks of flesh.
Sepdet only managed to maul its claw before it hit. She struggles to regain her feet and dodge to a safer position.
Fisher-King circles, watching for the approach of more Wyrm-minions to be sure that the Garou are not attacked from behind.
Broken Claw lands atop the creature, digging his talons into its chest and snapping forward, reaching to rip out the throat.
The Bane goes down again under the horde of Garou; this time, though, its shrieks gradually fade in volume as pieces are torn from it. The beast is torn to shreds, and as Cindi brings her weapon down, sharply, into its head, its screams abruptly stop; the sudden silence is deafening.
Oaken jumps back, wary, and sniffs the wind for any surprises.
Lyta's howl of praise and triumph breaks the silence; eyes glittering, she raises her muzzle to the Sky.
Hecate snarls triumphantly, though she breaks off the noiise after but a moment. The manic light fades from her eyes and she looks to Lyta, dipping her head slightly.
Cindi pants and then twists the spear. Slowly, she stands errect and draws her weapon upwards. Its cool gleam mirrors Luna in her glory. The Silver Fang throws back her head and howls her triumph and challenge to the skies.
Nightmare steps away from the downed Bane, snarling, eyes burning but controlled.
Velasquez throws back his head and howls, claws at his sides dripping ichor.
Gentle Touches crawls out from under the Bane, covered in ichored mud.
Lightfeather makes a quick sweep of the area. ~Clear~
Sepdet stumbles to the ichor-standed grass for a moment, then pushes herself to her feet, standing shakily to utter a howl as ragged as her now-bleeding side.
Fisher-King looks at Cindi with a faint wolfish smile. ~Perhaps there is something of the old blood in you after all.~
Nightmare howls at the sky. This is what his moon means.
Oaken pulls himself up into the branches and begins shredding the damned webs.
Broken Claw leaps from atop the Bane then turns back to face it, spitting ichor from his mouth, then releases a triumphant howl of feral power.
Fisher-King says ~Injuries?~
Cindi nods to Fisher-King, ~Like, stranger things have happened.~ She looks about, her eyes gleaming with pride. A pause and then, ~Like, we got wounded?~ A practical woman.
Lyta lowers her muzzle, glancing at Hecate and meeting the Warrior's eyes. She leans close, and murmurs quietly, below the howling. ~This Sept craves battle, I think.~
Gentle Touches looks to see who is injured.
Oaken, looking down, points to Nightmare and Sepdet.
Hecate eyes the raven for a moment, and grunts out, ~We go, now.~ She pauses for a moment and looks at Lyta. ~If you say.~
Cindi looks to Gentle Touches, ~A healer?~ She indicates the two hurt....
Nightmare's right side bears a freely-bleeding gash.
Storm Dancer checks herself over and nods with satisfaction. She looks uninjured.
Broken Claw has a rather nasty slash across his chest, but it doesn't seem to be bothering him overly.
Lightfeather dips her head. ~I'll warn the caern~
Gentle Touches moves to Nightmare and she examines the wound.
Lightfeather heads eastward, into the forest.
Lightfeather has left.
Sepdet bites her lip and looks slightly ashamed, but nods stiffly. The gash in her ribs looks pretty ugly.
Cindi moves to the youngest, Sepdet. ~Are you well, young warrior?~
Hecate growls low in her throat. ~This ain't th'place t'heal! We go! Now!~
Fisher-King nods. ~Cindi. Storm Dancer. Back to the Caern.~
Lyta nods an agreement. ~To safety, at least for the injured.~
Cindi nods to Hecate, ~We bug.~
Fisher-King looks at Sepdet. ~Do you need help walking?~
Sepdet looks up at Cindi.~Stupid~ she mutters to herself, then nods gamely and follows.
Velasquez agrees. ~Yes! We must fight!~
Nightmare looks around, and surprisingly, finds himself agreeing with Hecate. ~Wounds can keep until a...cleaner place.~
Storm Dancer nods to Fisher-King. ~come on Cindi, let's go.~
Cindi offers Sepdet her hand...
Oaken hops down, ripped webs around him like tattered wings.
Sepdet takes Cindi's hand and heads after her.
Storm Dancer heads eastward, into the forest.
Storm Dancer has left.

[Back to the caern, and the realm]

Sepdet appears in a glimmer of light.
At the center, Cindi looks back, ~Sepdet?~
At the center, Cindi whews
At the center, Cindi heads northeast to the fire pit.
Near the Fire Pit, Oaken spits out webs and flesh. ~Sepdet needs attention; Fisher-King and Broken Claw, as well.~
Sepdet sits down hard next to the pool, looking very small. ~Yeah. Still here.~
Near the Fire Pit, Erik quickly evaluates the injured. "Broken-claw. Please lie down on the canvas here..."
Near the Fire Pit, Fisher-King shakes his head. He gasps slightly as he lays down. ~I am....fine. It is an old injury.~
Nightmare follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
Nightmare has left.
Near the Fire Pit, Cindi waves to Erik, ~LIke, I patched him a bit but you're the far better healer.~

Near the Fire Pit, Erik guides and directs the injured, quickly evaluating who is in the worst pain.
Near the Fire Pit, Erik says "Fisher. Come here..."
Near the Fire Pit, Spooner grabs a piece of litmus paper. "I got him."
Near the Fire Pit, Oaken heads into the center.
At the center, Oaken heads southeast to the pool.
Oaken has arrived.
Near the Fire Pit, Erik nods to Spooner.
Cindi looks to Gentle Touches and then at Sepdet. Lightly, she picks her up and caries her back to the fire...
Near the Fire Pit, Spooner touches the paper to the 'old wound'.
Oaken looks concerned, and helps Cindi.
Sepdet doesn't look like she wants to get up, and doesn't protest when someone does it for her.
Cindi says "Oaken? Could you get some water? We might need it. Ah, perhaps you could carry our young warrior."
Near the Fire Pit, Cyllan watches Fisher-King with a slightly worried expression.
Velasquez appears in a puff of smoke.
Velasquez has arrived.
Velasquez appears in a glimmer of light.
Near the Fire Pit, Erik says "Cindi, we have everything here."
Near the Fire Pit, Fisher-King gets to his feet, standing silently and looking down at Spooner.
Oaken nods, lifting her gingerly.
Cindi lightly brushes her hand down the side of the tree, whisperinng to it softly.
Near the Fire Pit, Gentle Touches moves to the closest wounded.
Near the Fire Pit, [OOC] Cyllan goes to sleep. Night everyone.
Taken.

Spooner takes the appropriate bottle and a cloth. "Come 'ere and let's clean that the easy way."
Oaken sets Sepdet down gingerly, looking concerned.
On the southern curve, Keziah comes in from the woodland to the south.
On the southern curve, Keziah shifts into Crinos form.
Velasquez says "Oh /man/ that felt /good/."
On the southern curve, Nepthys follows the Wheel to the Pool.
Near the Pool, Nepthys follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Nepthys follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Nepthys has arrived.
Nepthys pads up.
Gentle Touches examines Sepdet, gauging her wounds.
Erik takes up a bottle of some sort of solution, pouring its contents on Broken Claw's wound, watching it bubble and froth as the alkaline neutralizes the acid. He wipes away the bloody foam, repeating hte procedure two or three times.
Sepdet murmurs ~Thanks. Just a little shaken.~ The gash across her left side cuts through muscle, though.
Nepthys looks around, curiously.
Gentle Touches contorts and blurs as she is transformed.
Gentle Touches shifts into Homid form.
Fisher-King's mouth twists slightly, but he follows Spooner.
Broken Claw stands perfectly still as Erik treats his wound.
Cindi nods, a clear light in her eyes, ~It was good.~ She looks over to the Boid, ~LightFeather, do you know what happened to our friends?~ The spear is put aside and she moves to help Sepdet, offering Gentle Touches some cloth...
Near the Pool, Lyta appears in a glimmer of light.
Erik looks over at Sepdet, gauging the severity of her injuries, before returning to tending Broken Claw
Near the Pool, Lyta follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Lyta follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Lyta has arrived.
Lightfeather shakes her head. ~I think they come now. ~
Nepthys idles a bit.
Spooner washes out the 'old wound' with the solution that neutralizes the ichor in it.
Erik soaks a gauze pad in topical anesthetic, and dabs at Broken Claw's wounds, dulling the hurt.
Oaken looks at Lightfeather respectfully. ~You were a big help tonight...thank you.~
Near the Pool, Hecate appears in a glimmer of light.
Lyta glances around, her eyes warming as she spots those who fought well.
Near the Pool, Hecate follows the Wheel north past the Pool.
On the eastern curve, Hecate follows the Wheel to the Fire Pit.
Hecate has arrived.
Lightfeather gives Oaken a shrug, an odd movement on a bird, ~I did not do much~
Cindi laughs, ~So I see. Lyta-rhya." She looks to Sepdet's wounds and then moves back, taking a small cup of water and whispering to it softly.
Hecate peers around the fire, panting a bit. Her gaze flicks from one face to the next, as if she's looking for someone in particular.
Fisher-King watches Spooner silently, his face expressionless.
Nightmare pokes at the gash along his side, not wincing, eyeing it as if really noticing it for the first time.
Erik says "I will return in a few moments, Broken Claw. The acid is neutralized; your hurts are not life-threatening. Please relax for a short while."
Lyta stands well back from the fire, giving the healers space. She paces a little, in a small arc near the edge of the woods.
Catherine touches Sepdet's wound gently, having wiped the gunk from her hands and face. Her hands begin to glow a soft gold and silver as she begins to bring the muscle together and make them whole.
Oaken looks for something helpful to do.
Broken Claw nods to Erik. ~I thank, Healer.~
Lightfeather stays well out of the way.
Erik says "Oaken. Clean the wounds, and determine who is in the worst shape."
Velasquez sighs. ~Pity there wasn't more ta fight. I coulda used the exercise.~
Sepdet glances down at the moon-shaped knife clutched tightly in her hand. The ugly ichor that stained it seems to have vanished. She makes no move to put it away yet, just looks around at the others, a little fuzzily.
Hecate paces around the fire a bit and looks questioningly at Lyta. Toxic... th'blue wolf? She didn't come with?
Oaken nods, and dips a cloth in the water, bending first over Broken Claw.
Fisher-King finally smiles, casting a sly glance at Velasquez. ~Save your strength....~
Erik OOC netnuked, Hecate. She was with the party at the time of server crash
Catherine whispers "Any ichor in your wound? And is it aggravated? :)"
Cindi looks to Velasquez, ~That will come.~
Spooner finishes cleaning Fisher-King's wound. "Damn, you were right, it was old. Get outta the way for now." <grin>
Velasquez grins. ~Sure it will. A couple of days, an' I know a certain vamp that's gonna find out why you don' mess with garou!~
Hecate grins OOCly at Erik. "I know. Have to play it out, though, no?"
Lyta glances at Hecate. ~I saw her running with you, at first, from afar. But after that, I do not know.~ She smiles slightly. ~The Glasswalker is her own woman, Hecate.~
You whisper "some shredded muscle. 2 body levels. And yeah, some ichor got into the gash. stupid raw cub." to Catherine.
Oaken looks significantly at Velasquez for a long moment.
Velasquez notices the look and looks back, questioningly. ~What is it, man?~
Lyta's eyes glint warmly as she meets Hecate's eyes. ~You led well, sister.~
Cindi shakes her head and sits back. She sags and looks up at the sky, her spear cradled over one knee. ~She probably found something important to do.~ The Silver Fang blinks, suddenly tired.
Erik notes there is no one here with life-threatening injury.
Catherine says "Someone, please bring me water? Something to wash the wound."
Cindi nods and hands Catherine the water she hand cleverly brought earlier.
Hecate drops her eyes and nods slightly at this. Yah. She paces a bit more and turns back to Lyta again. I donna know anything about leading. I got lucky is all.
Oaken turns back and eyes Broken Claw appraisingly. ~No more funny smell; no more fizzy bubbles; lookin' good, m'friend.~
Spooner says "I will."
Catherine whispers "Two levels aggravated?"
Erik points Catherine at the water bottles and stacks of bandages nearby
Spooner brings Catherine some bandages.
Fisher-King contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
You whisper "Yup. as I said, stupid." to Catherine.
Fisher-King shifts into Lupus form.
Lyta looks over the healers and the gathered combatants, a warm light in her gaze. Then, quietly, she turns and disappears into the woods with a few swift strides.
Lyta makes her way south, back around the Wheel.
Lyta has left.
On the eastern curve, Lyta heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
Erik settles down next to Sepdet, examining the large gash.
Velasquez continues to look at Oaken for a moment. Shrugs, and looks away, at the injured.
Fisher-King pads over to Cindi, still limping somewhat.
Catherine wipes the ichor from Sepdet's wounds, making sure not to drip any more in. When the wound looks clean, she begins the healing in earnest, her visible skin starting to shine with energy.
Hecate looks around the fire again, and then pads off, after Lyta.
Hecate makes her way south, back around the Wheel.
Hecate has left.
On the eastern curve, Hecate heads east, back into the forest and away from the Wheel.
Erik lets Catherine take care of Sepdet, then, and goes to Fisher-king. "I'd like to look at that wound, Fisher-rhya."
You whisper "Too bad you were not with us, sister. Would have seen this one being profoundly stupid.~" to Nepthys.
On the Earth Mound, Echen heads into the center.
Cindi pats a spot next to herself and gives Fisher a cheerful ruffle and then turns him over to Erik's tender mercies.
At the center, Echen contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
At the center, Echen shifts into Homid form.
At the center, Echen heads northeast to the fire pit.
Echen has arrived.
Erik says "Where did you originally get it?"
Fisher-King glances at Erik, looking at him for a moment, then walks over to him.
Fisher-King says ~It was a long time ago. Do not let it concern you.~
Sepdet regains a little color and looks almost sheepish, thanking them in a small voice.
Oaken picks up a bandage and looks at Broken Claw questioningly. ~I put this on, you got to stay in that form or you'll rip it right off; your call.~
Erik says "We will tal later. There are complications, I can see."
Velasquez whispers "Hey, you fought good, kid."
Catherine brushes ichor and mud from her eyes as the muscle knit together and the skin closes over it.
Broken Claw growls. ~Do it. I not mind this form.~
Velasquez senses "Sepdet looks dubious, but grateful for the encouragement."
Erik moves over then to Broken Claw, and begins the tast of placing muscle back in place, then closing the wound with tiny stitches
Spooner wets down one of the cloths and gently wipes Cahterine's face, trying not to distract her from her work. "You're dripping on the patient."
Fisher-King rolls his shoulders in a lupine shrug, though the movement causes him some pain. ~If you wish. But it is not necessary.~
Broken Claw says, ~When will heal? Need shift for Challenge.~~
Nightmare grins ferally at Echen as he arrives, the usual buried fury in his eyes dampened now, spent in battle.
Erik says "You will be your normal self within a day. Two at the very most."
Oaken assesses Nightmare's health, scanning for any wounds.
Cindi smiles to Echen, looking much as she should and not as she ought.
Velasquez looks over at FK. ~Hey, you gonna be okay for Wednesday, man?~
Fisher-King seems distracted - he starts slightly at Velasquez's question. ~Hmm? Yes, yes....I will be fine.~
Echen watches, silently, for a long moment. "Ye know, ye all ought t' try a less stressin' Revel, once in a while." He reaches into his coat pocket and slides out a bottle of whiskey, half-empty. "There's always plenty of time fer bleedin'."
Erik sews and stitches. "You'll have a mighty pretty scar, though....
Catherine whispers "Want a scar or not? :)"
Velasquez nods. ~Good. I see you back in town, 'kay?~
Broken Claw growls. ~Good. Both good.~
Fisher-King nods absently.
You whisper "yes, please. :)" to Catherine.
Velasquez heads into the center.
Velasquez has left.
At the center, Velasquez heads southwest, to the spot where the winds swirl.
Fisher-King wanders around the fire, walking in slow circles.
Erik finishes, and ties off the gut-thread.
Erik says "Chris?"
Cindi looks at Fisher-King, head tilting.
Fisher-King says ~Think so, do you?~
Oaken , no slouch in the perception department, sees the trail of blood Nightmare's leaving behind him and points Erik towards him.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez picks up his dropped jacket, and then stops. Brief pause. "AAAAUGH!!!!"
Fisher-King says ~I'm afraid you'll have to deal with it.~
Sepdet shivers a little, but finally smiles faintly.
Lightfeather looks up at Velasqez.
Nightmare grins at Echen. ~Times one doesn't mind bleeding.~ He shifts his gaze to Erik as his name is called.
Oaken looks in the direction of the scream. ~What??~
You sense Cindi smiles at you warmly, ~You did well.~
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez looks down at the ground. "I can't believe I was so /stupid/!"
Erik says "Well, I mind you bleeding. Come here, please, let's get you fixed up."
Catherine trails her fingers along the closed flesh of Sepdet's side, feeling the scarring tissue forming underneath. "You will be left with a mark, I can't take that away. Be careful of the wound. It is closed, but not fully healed. It shouldn't reopen, but you need to regain the muscle tone slowly."
Oaken tries not to smile. ~Another set of clothes lost to the cause, Velasquez?~
Nightmare snorts. ~Didn't mean /now/.~ and approaches Erik.
Sepdet nods and grins wanly. ~That which does not kill us makes us strong. But this one still has much to learn. My thanks.~
Cindi looks over at Velazquez, ~Lost a decent jacket?~
Erik chuckles a bit. "Lie down, please, on your side, hurt leg on top..."
Echen chuckles quietly, uncaps the whiskey bottle, and raises it to his lips. He tilts it backwards and drinks quickly, then recapping the bottle and dropping it into the snow in front of Nightmare. "Take th' edge off, brother."
Sepdet winces slightly as she slips her knife back into its sheath at her hip.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez looks back to the fire pit, at his packmate. ~God damn it, an' I gotta go back to the city, too!~
Fisher-King keeps pacing, and growling in a low voice. ~One at a time...I can't understand you when you all talk at once.~
Catherine chuckles. "That's what I have been told."
Erik says "I have morpheine for any who are in great pain. All you need do is ask."
Catherine looks to see if anyone else is wounded.
Nightmare lies down to let Erik at his wound, and drinks simultaneously. Yes, in crinos. Was there any doubt he's Fianna?
Cindi looks at Erik and then suddenly starts giggling. Soon she is laughing. A pause and then she puts her head down. ~Sorry about that.~
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez shakes his head. ~Damn. Looks like I take the umbra route.~
Oaken does grin, now, and gets his jacket and scarf from his backpack. ~It might be a little tight on you, but here; just return it to me tomorrow.~
Erik looks at Cindi. He then returns to his work on Chris, muttering "Fang humor..."
Sepdet whuffs at Cindi. ~Perhaps a tranquilizer.~
Fisher-King seems to flinch at Erik's words, as if someone had just yelled in his ears.
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez has his jacket intact, he took it off before he left. The rest, however, is shreds in the umbra.
Catherine says "Anybody else need healing?"
Erik cleans away the blood around the gash, and uses scissors to trim the fur away in the 1/2" around the gash. He then dabs topical anesthetic on the wond, pausing a moment for it to take effect
Cindi snerks to herself and wipes her eyes. ~Sokay. Sorry.~ She sits up a bit and looks over at Echen, ~Please, kind Irish sir, could I have some of that?~
Cindi whispers "Sorry, I just started thinking aout Erik playing doctor."
Fisher-King looks over at Erik. ~Gaia's teeth, man, watch what you say. They're upset enough already.~
Erik says "Extend my apologies to your ancestors, Fisher."
Spooner grins.
Echen smiles softly at Cindi. "Ye'll have t' ask Chris," he says quietly. He crouches down by the fire and stretches his hands out over the low flames, letting the warmth creep into his joints. "I'm a bit disappointed... my story weren't offensive t' nobody."
Erik then brings together a severed muscle in Nightmare's leg, stitching it with small tack-stitches, before closing the wound with more conventional stitchery.
Fisher-King snorts. ~As if they're likely to listen to me? I'm something of a black sheep in the family, if you hadn't noticed.~
Erik says "Then we have something in common, Fisher."
:mutters something about a nice steaming cup o chamomile, then picks herself up carefully and pads over to settle near Cindi.
Sepdet mutters something about a nice steaming cup o chamomile, then picks herself up carefully and pads over to settle near Cindi.
Nightmare holds out the bottleto Cindi. ~Be my guest.~
Oaken wanders a little away and starts peeling off the few remaining strands of webbing, tossing each one in the fire; as each one lands, there's a green flash and a small puff of noxious smoke before it boils away.
Spooner says "I was horribly offended, Echen-yuf."
In the Windy Spot, Velasquez follows the Wheel past the Windy Spot.
On the southern curve, Velasquez follows the Wheel to the Pool.
Cindi grins a bit, ~Sorry I missed it.~ She looks over at Chris, ~Can I?~ A pause and then she declines to talk about ancestors. For ONCE, hers are pleased with their descendant.
Near the Pool, Velasquez's eyes stop on his reflection in the pool.
Catherine looks down at herself. "I need a bath."
Erik places his hand on Nightmare's leg and closes his eyes, stroking his fingertips down the length of the wound, leaving closed skin and dissolved stitch-gut in its wake... and a pale, thin ridge of scar.
Fisher-King keeps pacing restlessly, coming down off of the adrenaline rush.
Near the Pool, Velasquez disappears in a puff of smoke.
Near the Pool, Velasquez gazes into the pool, and suddenly he vanishes.
Echen flashes a quick smile at Spooner. "Yer just sayin' that t' be nice," he says teasingly. "I *could* have told a tale about th' Gateway... but I was afraid of th' damn Get takin' it wrong."
Oaken grins over at Catherine. ~I, myself, am very glad I brought my toothbrush along.~
Nightmare stares at his wound disappearing. ~Nice trick, that,~ he comments.
Fisher-King looks up irritably. ~No, I -don't- think I should be more like her.~
Cindi looks over at the Fianna, ~Echen, perhaps you could tell that to us some night...nani?" She just *freezes* at Fisher's commentary.
Spooner nods her head towards Fisher-king, "He hit his head, or is that an old wound, too?
Catherine wipes more ichor and mud off and looks at Oaken. "This stuff is hardening up like cement. Yuck! And it itches a little."
Cindi shakes her head, ~He knows his ancestors really well. Really.~
Erik nods. "It is Gaia's gift to you. You will want to keep your leg warm over the next day or two, and keep it stretched and limber. Your quadraceps was nearly severed; as it heals fully, it will tend to want to stiffen. Let me know if you experience even a little difficulty.
Erik then, as promised, returns to Broken Claw
Fisher-King continues, oblivious to Cindi. ~She showed courage and honor tonight. Which is more than I can say of -your- behavior for the past decade.~
Cindi is not blushing. She's not.
Nightmare nods, and shifts to a less bulky but still warm form, gritting his teeth a bit as the change stretches at the muscle.
Nightmare contorts and blurs as he is transformed.
Nightmare shifts into Lupus form.
Spooner grins at the conversation FK is having with himself. "I wanna come back and chew folks out."
Cindi grins at Spooner, ~Have to have lots of kids to do it...~
Oaken shakes his head, coming over to Catherine. ~Remind me to tell you my theory about where the homids got super-glue sometime. Here..." he gets a cigarette lighter out his backpack, drips a couple drops of fluid onto a cloth, and tries wiping the stuff away with it.
Nightmare moves nearer to the fire, glancing at FK. ~At least Ailgel on speaks in dreams. That has to get annoying.~
Erik examines Broken-Claw's stitched chest-wound. He draws his fingers down the wound, closing the skin. "You will have little difficulty with this, Broken-claw. Though if it gets red, tender, or swollen, see me at once. I want to perform a Rite of Cleansing on it, but not at this moment.
Spooner says "My point exactly. <grin>"
Erik then approaches Fisher and speaks quietly with him for a moment.
Broken Claw growls acknowledgement.
Fisher-King doesn't seem to even notice Erik until he's right next to him.
Sepdet gingerly curls up on her good side. She still looks a little dazed, but listens to the banter with ear-twitching amusement. OOC, player suddenly realizes it's 4 AM, she's supposed to be recovering from a stomach flu, and ceases to wonder why her writing started going fuzzy during the last half hour.
Cindi gets a blanket and tucks it over Sepdet, ~Sleep. Like, they say it heals.~
Fisher-King starts to growl something out in an angry tone, staring at the empty air, when he hears Erik step up to him. He turns to look who's there, then suddenly stiffens, standing rigidly.
Sepdet, coming off the last of the adrenalin rush, droops a little, and rests her muzzle in her hands. ~Blessings, friends. Good n...~ (*very, very small snore*)
Erik says "Fisher?"
Sepdet is sound asleep.
Cindi chuckles and kisses Sepdet's ear. ~Nighty night.~
