Migratory
cell division: cancerous cantankerous
old men swimming upstream vomiting virility,
indecency--decay
multiplied, clemency...
DENIED.
When at last the clouds lifted
unadorned! Midnight races
across crisp Oktobyr skies
with a clarity and ease
heretofore unwitnessed
by small darksome gatherers
gazing permanently
breathlessly
into limitless
star-bejeweled wonder.
Winter's breath
Staring out the open attic
window, his cool naked eyes
f

li
ng
to rest
upon the cold
heartless landscape
a shiver
crawls slowly painfully
up his aged ragged spine
as icy northern winds
blow fitfully
unceasing
through carefully
tousled hair.
