To A Great Friend

To a great friend,

That means so dear.

this never should have happened,

your time wasn’t near

We’re all thinking,

And wondering why.

What would have caused this,

Why did you want to die.

We’ll miss your smile,

That would brighten any day.

You made us laugh,

In your own little way.

You hurt all of us,

Because of what you did.

You still had to live your life,

You were only a kid.

We can’t stand to be here,

Without you.

We all cared,

If only you knew.

Both you and I,

Don’t think this is fair.

We love you and miss you,

And we will always care.

This poem is dedicated to Brian Gacek. A friend who’s time came sooner than it should have.
