As a member of and manager of in-house project teams, and in partnership with prime contractors, has delivered the development and installation of forecasting systems. ·         Semi-Automation of Forecasting Products – Wrote extended paper to initiate various projects to automate forecast products from the Central Forecast Office. (1995)

·         Paper on Mountain (Lee) Waves & How to Forecast them – managed verification & implementation in "Horace" of Glenn Shutts Lee Wave Prediction algorithm. (1996)

·         Helped initiate a project to deliver an enhanced "Horace" system to the Royal Navy. (1996)

·         Consultation to US Air Force in Europe regarding Horace installation (1998)

·         On-Screen Analysis (OSA) – wrote software in Horace and managed move from hand-drawn to electronic analysis in Met Office Forecast Centre (NMC 1998). Included Objective Front algorithms.

·         Nov-Dec 2000 – month long detachment to Australian Bureau of Meteorology, Melbourne, to implement Horace, including move from hand-drawn to electronic analysis & forecast chart production.

·         Horace trials and minor installations in Philippines, Denmark, Bermuda, San Diego (US Navy), Ireland, S Africa, Tanzania (2000-2002).

·         Managed major Horace Installation in Belgium (2003).

·         Senior Technical Consultant for project to port Horace from HPUX/AIX to Linux (2002-2003).
