Thank you for your page. I just recently received my spirit name. It came to me at a pagan retreat farm in PA, under a bright stary sky, the full moon came up behind some trees. I had just made the decision to pursue degree training in Wicca. This is a major step in my life, since I have associated myself with the Christian church all of my life. As I was standing there in the cool of the night, the moon came up between 2 limbs on a tree in front of me. It was surrounded on all sides by limbs, like a picture frame. On the ground was its shadow, cast before me. It was sort of like a small voice, like an awarness that I would become known as Moon Shadow. I was with a friend, and I said nothing, but it would not leave my mind. I picked up a book a few days later on Wicca. I already have several books, but this one was on a shelf and just stood out. It is a small book, but one of the first topics discussed was the use of a spirit name. I facilitate a meditation group in my home 2 to 3 times per month, and tomorrow, my co-facilatator will bless me with my new spirit name, "Moon Shadow". I am not sure exactly what it all means yet, but I will keep searching and meditating till I do. I was searching the net about spirit names, and your site came up. I wish you were closer to the DC area, as I would like to meet you. You seem to be on a similar path to myself and I learn from people such as yourself.
