). Perhaps you might want to partake in our Dec.4th coffeehouse/talent night (take one friday night off choir) by reciting some of your poems?

i just got to your website a few minutes ago. your banner came up on one of my pages. hey, let me encourage you with your artwork. you're doing well with it.
a few years ago, i got roped into teaching an activities class at the church i used to attend. it was a drawing class. it was beneath the dignity of the church's resident graphic artist to teach the class, so they drafted me. up to this point, most of the drawing i'd ever done was technical, engineering stuff. the night before the class, i ran out, got an early Sunday edition and started teaching myself how to draw the comics characters freehand. it's simply a question of recognising shapes and forms and g tting them from your head to the paper in front of you. the class went well. my only mistake was to use tempura (or tempora?) paints as the medium during one class. that church still owes me a new pair of slacks! just kidding... if you're ever in a room f ll of 9 and 10 year olds with tempura paint, you'd better be wearing coveralls.
