Sid bids farewell.
Well, God's timing is beyond us. I had thought we would be in Japan forever, but that has turned out to be a wrong assumption. This ironically matches with Pastor Hirota's last sermon, entitled "Turn Your Direction". In March, the Mathesons shall return to the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. Due to Mrs. Matheson's weakening health in a demanding world without sufficient language skills to parry with. But, this is not the place for personal details, although there are perhaps many things we would like to say to future missionaries.
We are in a new decade, century and millenium! (Well, okay not tech nically) What a time to be called back. Over the next two months I hope to complete the index that was initially created as a birthday present for Pastor Katsumasa Hirota of Chapel Noah, Oita Evangelical Christ Church. The final results should yield a complete referencing of the sermons we have been able to have translated into English as presented to the congregation of Chapel Noah, principally through Pastor Hirota.
I wish to dedicate this work to God, the holy Church, and Japan. "May you be -- forever young."
