Steinbeck House, 132 Central Ave., Salinas, Ca.
John Steinbeck was born in this house on Feb. 27, 1902.
Steinbeck lived here for 9 years. While living in this house he wrote
his first stories, wrote parts of The Red Pony and Tortilla
Flat, and wrote "The White Quail" and "The Chrysanthemums."
