Foam Siege Rocks

Missle Construction Notes

One pound Seige Rock shot:

I cut two cloth circles at 14" diameter, then sewed them together leaving about 1.5 to 2" opening, using 1/2" seam allowance. This was then turned right side out and stuffed with small pieces of shreaded foam carpet padding until it weighed 14 ounces on a small food scale. The hole was hand sewn shut. The resulting pillow is taped with 1" or 3/4" glass strapping tape to make it into a round ball using two wraps per axis for three axis. Using a good quality ducktape, cut strips that will reach half way around the ball starting at the 'north' pole laying it on to the 'south' pole with a slight overlap on the strips at the equator. The resulting 'stone' should weigh 1 pound and have a diameter of 7" to 8". Mark your stones for ownership.

Alternate Construction

Cut four sections of cloth in a pointed oval shape, and assemble the rock beachball style. This may be an easier way to achieve a round siege rock
