NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

The [expletive deleted] meeting lasted three and a [expletive deleted] half hours and not a [expletive deleted] thing productive was [expletive deleted] accomplished.

Life is too [expletive deleted] short to [expletive deleted] waste it in this [expletive deleted] fashion.

Spent a couple of [expletive deleted] hours this afternoon categorizing language on part-timers to make some serious [expletive deleted] movement. Instead, we sat and listened to some out-[expletive deleted]-rageous [expletive deleted] on why part-timers should be excluded from Section 3-[expletive deleted]-15 which says that using teachers for lunch [expletive deleted] supervision must be [expletive deleted] bargained.

If you think that I am [expletive deleted] exaggerating, how about [expletive deleted] Section 4-[expletive deleted]-13...[expletive deleted] Holidays. Read the [expletive deleted] language for yourself...

I want someone out there to [expletive deleted] explain to me why part-[expletive deleted]-timers should be ex-[expletive deleted]-cluded from that section of the [expletive deleted] contract.

I'm warning you right now before you [expletive deleted] answer, if you can [expletive deleted] explain it, you win my [expletive deleted] seat at the [expletive deleted] table!

Did we talk about [expletive deleted] money? [expletive deleted] no! We had more [expletive deleted] important things to [expletive deleted] talk about.

One [expletive deleted] bright spot. The BOE team is [expletive deleted] determined NOT to [expletive deleted] allow part-timers to be [expletive deleted] included in [expletive deleted] Article X. Guess what is [expletive deleted] included in [expletive deleted] Article X? The [expletive deleted] "No-Strike clause!

So, if the BOE gets its [expletive deleted] way, part-timers can [expletive deleted] strike even though they are under [expletive deleted] contract!

[Expletive deleted], [expletive deleted], [expletive deleted] ridiculous!

I've had many people ask me over the past few months..."What's your gut feeling. Are we going to have to go on strike?"

I have tried to remain positive. Surely the BOE remembers the devastation caused by the strike of 2002...the strike that caused Cairo School District Number One to be placed under the supervision and control of a Financial Oversight Panel!!!

However, after tonight, I have lost all remaining hope. I truly believe that they are simply stalling...figuring that if we haven't done anything yet (i.e. strike), then we won't.

I know they are wrong.

You know they are wrong.

But, evidently, seeing is believing. Guess they have forgotten the strikes of 1978, 1983, 1988, 1994-95, and 2002.

So, my final expletive...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
