One footnote...

Have I missed something...have I been gone that long?

Whassup with the second-to-the-last paragraph:

    "If there is a rare and unusual conflict of any kind preventing you from attending, then you must contact your prinicipal and gain his/her approval to be excused from the in-service."

In past years, I had to "call in/check out" whenever I missed ANY school - a regular day, an institute, an in-service, whatever. Are SIP afternoons the only time (in this here army) that you have to report that you will be "missing" now? Can you just "blow off" a regular school day without calling in...without gaining the principal's "approval to be excused"?

OR...is this just a subtle reminder...that you are nobody/nothing...just a "pee on", uh, "peon". Hell, you got THAT reminder yesterday when the District stole part of your paycheck!!! How sloooooow do they think you are???

Enquiring minds want to know...or, then again, maybe not!
