A GROWING NATION

So much for believing in Johns Hopkins' researchers!

Who are these clowns?

Are they the same researchers that convinced the political clowns to bring us No Child Left Behind...demanding that every child be above average in reading and math by the year 2014???

I mean...if nothing else, there will ALWAYS be skeletal celebrities...and skeletal junkies.

I've done some research...let me share my initial results:

Using the same logic as our esteemed Johns Hopkins' researchers, I can safely predict that by the year 2048, your child will be older than you!!! (Can I borrow the car keys, son?)

Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it! Don't have a pipe...borrow one from a Johns Hopkins researcher, along with whatever they put in it!

A Growing Nation

NATIONAL (NBC) - Researchers are predicting that in the next 40 years every single person in the United States will be overweight or obese.

Two-thirds of Americans are already overweight.

Johns Hopkins and government researchers looked at obesity trends over 30 years and predict, unless they change, by the year 2048 all of us will be overweight.

"Essentially what we're trying to say is that the obesity epidemic is at a crisis level," said Lan Liang, a senior economist for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Hispanic men and African-American women are expected to hit that target much sooner.

Working out yourself to shed pounds is really only part of the solution. Experts say governments, communities and employers need to get involved.

There are big challenges. Many neighborhoods aren't pedestrian-friendly, so people don't walk. Also, junk food is often cheaper than fresh produce.

"When the economic burden of obesity puts its ugly hand on our pocketbooks, we will find it's not normal and make some changes," explained Dr. Peter Vash of the Obesity Society.

Researchers predict health care costs for obesity will double every decade and reach over $950 billion dollars within 30 years.
