CAT Tracks for February 20, 2009

The February 19th edition of The Cairo Citizen is a "must buy" for supporters of Cairo Jr/Sr High School...chock full of articles and pictures of academic teams and sports teams.
CAT Tracks previously presented coverage of the Cairo Junior High Colts' recent success in taking the Class M State Basketball Championship. There is BIG coverage of their efforts...including a BIG group photo on Page 1...above the fold! TOO big, in fact, to scan. You'll just HAVE TO BUY THE PAPER! (Yes, that's called a "tease".) There are even more pictures on the inside as well as an accompanying article of their exploits.

The pictures, captions, and articles proudly recognized the participation and the achievements of the students...as well they should.
However, it should be noted that these events do not occur without the efforts of adult sponsors.
Therefore, CAT Tracks would like to recognize Ryan O'Shea (CJSHS Business Teacher) for his sponsorship of the Accounting Team, the CHS Beta Club, and the CHS WYSE Team. Congratulations are also in order for Zena Madison (Reading Specialist at Bennett Elementary) for her efforts in sponsoring the CHS Cheerleaders. A big CAT "Thank You" to both of you as well to those involved with the remarkable success of the CJHS Colts!
