CAT Tracks for August 22, 2007
TOP SECRET BOE MEETING |
Nah...not really...just one of those things.
Evidently, the notice for the Special Meeting for Monday, August 20, 2007, went out on time...it just didn't find its way into CAT paws until after the fact. This CAT came down with a summer cold and missed work on Monday...BAD CAT! The notice, which was probably in my school mailbox, laid unattended. To compound my BAD CAT act, a fellow CAT asked me at about 6 p.m. on Monday if there was a BOE meeting...that she had heard that there was one. I assured her that "Nope...can't be...'cause I didn't get no stinking notice."
Oh, well...the best laid plans of CATs and men.
Anyway...below is the agenda for that "missing meeting", followed by a report of what actually happened.
Better late than never...
I. Call to Order: 6 p.m.
II. Roll Call: Brown, Coleman, Mallory, Stubblefield, and Gooden were present.
III. Recognition and Comments from Employees and Public - None.
IV. Approval of Special Meeting Agenda - Done.
V. Discussion Regarding District Budget for 2007-2008 - Motion made, seconded, and passed to approve the Superintendent's recommendation to display budget.
VI. Employ Teacher - Skipped until after Closed Session.
VII. Closed Session - The BOE voted to enter Closed Session at 6:05 p.m. The BOE voted to exit Closed Session at 6:45 p.m.
VIII. Requiring Action/Decisions By Board of Education:
IX. ADJOURN - Motion made, seconded, and passed to adjourn at 7:15 p.m.
