GALATIA - Galatia school board took three actions during a special meeting Thursday mainly spent interviewing four agriculture teachers, according to school consultant and former superintendent Gary Siebert.

Siebert is helping the district while Superintendent Ron Driemeier is on administrative leave since July 5.

The board hired McClains Investigations of Centralia to look into apparent allegations involving Driemeier.

Siebert said there were several people at the teacher interviews and all but the four ag applicants were dismissed until the rescheduled regular meeting 7 p.m. July 23.

The board passed a tentative budget for 2007-2008 and will place it on public display. The ending budget for 2006-2007 has all funds in the black.
