REGULAR BOE MEETING - MINUTES

The Cairo Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, May 15, 2008.

WOW...gotta be the shortest regular BOE meeting ever!

Feeling a bit under the weather, this correspondent sincerely appreciates it. Accordingly, I'm going to take the easy way out on the "minutes" also. Basically, what was on the agenda happened...what wasn't on the agenda didn't!

Okay...I'll expand just a bit:

"Call to Order" was 6:02 p.m.
"Roll Call" - Mayberry, Stubblefield, Gooden, and Burris answered. (Brown entered at 6:03 p.m.)
Since Bennett got off the "bad list" by meeting AYP two years in a row, K-6 is NOT eligible for Summer Bridges. However, there WILL be a summer school program.
"Closed Session" - In at 6:21 p.m.; Out at 7:05 p.m.
There will be a Special Hearing on the amended budget prior to the regular June 19th meeting...at 5:45 p.m.
Adjournment at 7:09 p.m.
