CAT Tracks for April 28, 2008
COMMUNITY/SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP MEETING |
UPDATE: Did you miss the Monday afternoon meeting?
Shame on you!
Fortunately, there was a good turnout...but we missed you!
And...we know who you are 'cause we took roll!
Feeling guilty?
Well...have we got an offer for you!
How about dinner and a meeting?
WHEN? Tuesday, April 29th, at 6 p.m.
WHERE? CJSHS Cafeteria
The subject matter will basically be the same, although the targeted audience is parents and community members. However, teachers are welcome to attend...including those who didn't get enough on Monday...or are desirous of the free meal!
Below is the original April 25th CAT Tracks concerning Monday's meeting...
Got an e-mail from our IEA UniServ Director yesterday, asking for assistance. He requested that I advertise "Monday's meeting" with the hopes that a healthy showing of concerned teachers would attend. We NEVER want it to appear that the teachers do NOT care, even though it is said over, and over, and over...
Needless to say, I was in full agreement...BOTH to publicize the meeting in CAT Tracks and to encourage all CATs to attend.
However, I had one small problem...
Actually, that statement is somewhat disengenuous...Jim HAD mentioned it to me a couple of weeks ago when I attended a CJSHS restructuring meeting at the Central Office. BUT...I did not have a clue as to when and where.
Then I remembered that De De O'Shea had asked me last week about a meeting...that she had gotten a second-hand notice from a teacher at Bennett Elementary. I told her, truthfully, that I didn't have a clue what she was talking about...that I had NOT received any notice.
To make this long story end...De De kindly gave me her "unauthorized copy" at noon. So, now, it can be told!
Below, is the official notice from Dr. Swopes. PLEASE read the notice and mark the time and place.
I plan to attend and would ask that you do the same. Again, it is important to show that the certified staff of Cairo School District Number One are NOT the unconcerned and uninvolved individuals that others so eagerly paint us!
See you Monday afternoon at Cairo Junior/Senior High School!
