The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m.

Answering roll call were Coleman, Mayberry, Stubblefield, Gooden, and Burris. (Brown arrived at 6:08 p.m.)

No one in the audience asked to be recognized to speak.

After a brief discussion as to whether CJSHS Principal Lynn Byrd should address the damage from the fire, it was the consensus of the BOE that the matter be relegated to closed session to prevent revelation of names.

A motion was made, seconded, and passed to approve the agenda.

A motion was made, seconded, and passed to call a Special Meeting for February 20, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. for the purpose of interviewing candidates for Superintendent. (Plans are to hold interviews with individual candidates at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.)
