CAT Tracks for October 30, 2007 FOR ALL YOU DO...

...actually, for all you have DONE during these past few weeks, this CAT Tracks is for you!

Went looking for stories suitable for reprint in CAT Tracks this morning...just to prove to you that I'm alive and well.

I'd be lying if I told you that I'm back to my old cheery self...'cause that ain't ever been the case. I've always been a "half empty" kind of guy...guess that's why God sent Julie to me...her being the "cup is overflowing" type. To be honest...I miss the hell out of her...and I don't see that letting up much. Not so sure I would want it to...would start another guilt trip.

But...I'm adjusting.

I had some unusual "experiences" yesterday that helped put my mind at rest. For fear that some of you folks will descend upon my house for another damned vigil, I won't reveal what transpired. I did share these "coincidences" with a few folks yesterday...to, let's say, mixed reviews. Hey, desperate, despondent people WILL clutch at straws. But, it works for me and that's what matters right now.

So, it's time...for ALL of us...to get on with life.

I contacted the District yesterday concerning my return to the trenches. Oh, I'm going to indulge myself and take a couple of weeks off, but then it's time to "Keep Movin On"...

Hopefully, later today...or tomorrow...I'll find a news item worthy of CAT Tracks...to make my return official. Actually, I'm looking forward to the challenge...I mean, typing while curled tightly in the fetal position does present some obstacles. Maybe I can position my laptop just so...

Seriously, I do wish to thank every last one of you for all the support that you gave to Julie and I during the past...particularly these past two traumatic months. I wouldn't even attempt to name names because they literally run into the hundreds...most of whom we were even unaware...folks near and far offering thoughts and prayers in our time of need.

Thank you! We couldn't have made it without you...
