HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE...II

New rumor...or an amendment to the previous rumor...whatever!

Word now is that Ronald Driemeier is not totally out of the running to be Cairo School District's new superintendent. Allegedly, he said "No" to the contract that was offered to him by the BOE. BUT...the BOE is reportedly going to offer him a new and improved contract (or has already done so).

From an Association standpoint (looking ahead to next year's CAT contract negotiations), we have at least learned that in negotiations, Mr. Driemeier understands the concept of saying no to offers by the BOE. Maybe he will empathize...

Maybe he wants a house as part of the deal. Nah...that's reserved for basketball coaches!

A new car? Heck...he can buy a new car if they give him mileage to drive back and forth to Galatia! (I think the going rate was 90 cents.)

Maybe it's just more money. CATs could probably empathize with that!

Anyway...stay tuned for the next episode in the continuing sage of "As the Superintendent Turns"!
