Old Cairo Hospital Clean Up Plan

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency plans to start cleaning up asbestos at the abandoned hospital in Cairo next month.

The Illinois EPA says the clean-up was pushed back several times because of paper-work involved with the asbestos removal plan.

The 2-million dollar project was first scheduled for late October ... then moved to February. The clean-up should take three to six months.
